Nigerian UK base Investigative journalist, Dr. Kemi Olunloyo has revealed that the Interpol is going to arrest more Nigerians in Dubai.

Operatives of the Aniti-Kidnapping Unit, in a Sting Operation yesterday 29/6/20202 at about 1330hrs, arrested a pastor who is also a notorious kidnapper and serial killer, Anthony Ndubuisi, from Ngo-Okpala in Imo State but resides at Umuebulu Etche LGA, Rivers State.



The suspect who was arrested through intelligence led policing, on interrogation confessed to have carried out several kidnappings and killings of his unsuspecting victims, including three Foreign Nationals and a Nigerian.

Police Command in Akwan Ibom State disclosed that it would indict all those who do not comply with the mandatory use of face masks in public places.

On Tuesday, CSP Frederick Nnudam, Police Public Relations Officer and spokesperson of the Commissioner, CP Imohimi Edgal in a statement said that all Divisional Police Officers, DPOs and Enforcement Committee members have been authorized to apprehend and indict offenders.

The Statement read,

In its renewed efforts and determination to enforce the provisions of the Quarantine and Restriction of Movement Regulations, 2020 as amended, reaffirms that wearing of facemask by all persons in public places will be vigorously enforced.


For the avoidance of doubt, paragraph 12 (1) of the Quarantine and Restriction of Movement (Second Amendment) Regulations, 2020 states that “the use of facemask by all persons in public places is hereby made mandatory”. While paragraph 12(2) provides a fine of ten thousand naira (N10, 000.00) for a first time offender or community service for seven (7) days and a fine of twenty thousand naira (N20,000.00) for a second time and subsequent offender or community service.

Gov. Abubakar Bello of Niger on Tuesday presented a budget of N148.211 billion for the 2020 fiscal year to the state House of Assembly.

News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the budget, which is N194.698 billion (13.2 per cent) lower than the 2019 budget, has been christened “Budget of Inclusion for Sustainable Development.”

A breakdown of the budget showed that N78.243 billion (52.79 per cent) was allocated to capital expenditure, while N69.968 billion (47.21 per cent) was earmarked for recurrent expenditure.

The Katsina State Police Command on Tuesday announced the arrest of three alleged kidnappers who had gone to pick the one hundred and fifty thousand naira (N150, 000.00) ransom they demanded from one Shuaibu Bala who they threatened to kidnap or any of his family members if he refused to pay the money.

A press release which was signed by the Police spokesman, Superintendent Gambo Isah, and made available to newsmen Tuesday say they were arrested in Unguwar Illiya village in Kafur local government area of Katsina state.

He further disclosed that the suspects, Umar Audu, 20; Yusuf Abubakar, 25 and Hussaini Isah, 30 all hailed from Igabi local government area of Kaduna state.

“The kidnappers arrested Umar Audu, aged 20yrs, Yusuf Abubakar aged 25yrs and Ussaini Isah, m, aged 30yrs all of Igabi LGA of Kaduna state. ”

President Muhammadu Buhari on Monday signed a new agreement on an Electrification Roadmap with Siemens, a German-based company.

This was disclosed in a statement signed by Garba Shehu, the President’s Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity.

The breakdown of the agreement is to achieve; 7,000 MW by 2021, 11,000 MW by 2023 and overall grid capacity to 25,000 MW

Buhari, speaking after signing the agreement, disclosed that the agreement was signed to tackle the challenge of electricity supply in Nigeria.

He explained that the first focus of the partnership is “fixing the transmission and distribution infrastructure especially around economic centers where jobs are created.”

A former minister of education and ex-presidential candidate, Oby Ezekwesili, has said that President Muhammadu Buhari is not taking charge of the country’s armed forces.

According to the, the former minister stated this in an interview with journalists at the 11th Wole Soyinka Centre Media lecture series, in Lagos, on Saturday.

Wothappen.com understands that Ezekwesili was reacting to the death of Olufunke Olakunrin, the daughter of the leader of pan-Yoruba socio-political group, Afenifere, Pa Reuben Fasoranti.

The police have blamed the death of a middle-aged man simply identified as Francis on a stray bullet fired when their men ran into an ambush in the Ilupeju area of the state.

Men identified as members of the special anti-robbery squad (SARS) reportedly killed Francis on Monday morning.

A witness had told TheCable that the deceased was killed while going about his daily cleaning job on Ajisegiri street in Ilupeju, Odiolowo Ojuwoye local council development area.
