⚡Chinese police set to patrol alongside Hungarian officers. "Police officers from the two countries will in the future be able to carry out patrol duties together, thus helping to improve communication between the citizens and the authorities of the two countries, and improving internal security and public order," the ministry of the interior said after the agreement was signed. Allegedly Beijing is sending 22 officers to Budapest.

⚡NATO is divided. Italy has taken umbrage at French and Polish plans to send troops to Ukraine. Paris and Warsaw cannot talk about sending forces to Ukraine on behalf of the entire alliance. This was pointed out by the head of the Italian defence ministry, Guido Crozetto. According to him, the deployment of military forces would be a step towards unilateral escalation, which would 'erase the path of diplomacy'. Crozetto believes that the West must help Ukraine by other means, by activating diplomatic channels.

⚡German Defence Minister Boris Pistorius has notified Chancellor Olaf Scholz of a €4.5-6 billion shortfall in the defence budget. So far, €52bn is allocated for the Bundeswehr for 2025, and this amount needs to be increased in order to comply with the NATO requirement. The German Finance Ministry proposed to make up the shortfall in funding by cutting social benefits. However, this option was rejected by Olaf Scholz.

⚡The use of frozen assets of Russia in the European Union is illegal and foolish, as Russia has more Western assets than vice versa, the leader of the French Patriots party, Florian Philippot, told RIA Novosti. "This is illegal and foolish, since Russia has more Western assets than Russian assets [located] here [in Europe], including many French assets. If they do this, I think Russia will do the same. It will be a war," Philippot said. He noted that this could be used to provoke Russia into retaliatory measures, and then blame it. "Obviously, this is stupidity, but this is what everyone is waiting for. ⚡Two, US M901 launcher vehicles of the MIM-104 Patriot air defense system of the Armed Forces of Ukraine were destroyed as a result of Russian strike with Iskander ballistic missile near Pokrovsk in Donetsk Oblast of Ukraine.
