Politics › Re: Lagos Economy To Grow Bigger Than The Rest Of Nigeria – The Atlantic by wristbangle: 11:13am On Oct 19, 2016 |
The massive development in the state as a result of economic planning, strategies and profound research to stretch the booming magnet is paying off hereby attracting investors, infrastructure and other development.
A lot still needs to be done especially in the area of infrastructure (Housing, roads, etc) and power to feed the huge population domicile in the city.
If the current light rail gets complete with 4th mainland bridge, Eko Atlantic and capital cities couple with other forthcoming development, Lagos will not just over throw nigeria economy but may over throw beyond many more countries in Africa. |

989900D: Well said, if we ever lived true to the world's expectation of us, we should be at the minimum, a trillion dollar economy -- and I mean worst case scenario.
Like some commenter pointed out: Lagos pulling Nigeria's weight at the moment.
And with recent developments between Lagos and Ogun states, the GDP combined of both states could well be comfortably challenging for 2nd or 3rd largest economy in Africa in some few years to come.
Honestly speaking, those comments pointing lagos booming economy to keeping Nigeria afloat is nothing but the truth. Technology wise, what lagos is generating is huge (it's even synonymous to California in USA, the largest single state economy in USA and the entire world generating 600 billion dollars GDP). Look at the likes of Glo 1 and main one fibre as e.g contributing immensely to the country hereby supplying internet services to other western countries which is helping the country GDP. Manufacturing, FMCG, blue chips companies etc in Lagos/Ogun and perhaps Anambra, PHC, Ibadan and Kano are sparkling wave hence saving us from oil doom.
Like you said, we suppose to be on 1trillion dollars GDP and permit to mention that our foreign reserve suppose to be at 200billion naira minimum but the stench of past corrupt administration has wrecked the country. |

Generally there is recession in the globe just that it varies in countries. That of Nigeria is quite heavy due to our over-reliance on oil hence a monoproduct economy. We hope to see a government that will harness other untapped resources in the country such as Agriculture, Natural resources, Information Technology and other mainstreams, not just to stay as Africa giant but to compete with other developed countries in the world but it's a pity we have never had good leadership in power since independence. |

soberdrunk: Once a 'randy' boss sets his eyes on you its almost impossible for him to let go, its almost like a lion setting his eyes on a goat. Have no fear hun, i said "almost impossible" not "impossible", there are two things you can do------
1) Bring him a "better" sacrifice i.e bring him a runs girl that looks and has the same body structure like you, if he isnt a "super" randy man he will divert his attention to her but if he is already "addicted" to you then we move to No. 2
2) This No.2 is a bit extreme beacuse it requires some props and costuming and involves you getting partially 'naked'. Fear not!! You dont have to go all the way, firstly you need to get an artist to make you the 'weirdest' looking waist beads ever(jujulike) and get temporary werid looking tattoos and marks all around your body especially in areas that a man will notice first when he is with you alone e.g laps, waist clevage areas and invite him over to your house. When you guys are alone display the weird waist beads and make him see the marks and tattoos, if he still trys to touch break his head and start looking for another job because the man is the younger brother of Lucifer |

FlyoruB: ****They're in Lagos for the same reason Lagos and the SW at large attracts the highest FDI in the entire country and is home to the largest market in West Africa. They're in Lagos because it is a land of opportunities. So far this year, Germany (the powerhouse of Europe)has attracted billions in FDI from American, British, French and Chinese investors. Why? Because the economy is robust enough to attract that level of attention. It's the same reason the Indians, Lebanese, Americans and Italians you mentioned are stuck on Yorubaland like hand and glove, coz that's the only place worth investing in. Even Igbos would rather invest in Ogun state and Lagos than the SE. It's the same reason the Chinese are aslo investing billions in FDI in God's own country today.
It's not our fault that igboland is treated like a leper by your own people so much so that your leaders have to shout at the top of their lungs that you people should 'invest at home', yet una no gree. No be Yoruba people fault. Terrible uppercut |

Romance › Re: I Met Her In The Banking Hall, And This Happened by wristbangle: 2:41pm On Oct 16, 2016 |
Tallesty1: A piece of advise bro. Don't date that lady simply because she made the first move, take out time to find out if she's actually your type of woman. She's gonna be nice to you, she's gonna be respectful and loyal, y'know that same trick we use, that same lie we tell when we're asking a woman out, she's gonna do all that but it doesn't end there and it won't last forever.
Don't tell guys to encourage women by accepting those that have the courage to ask them out, women need love not mercy or pity. If you don't like her then tell her, she will respect you for it.
I know how feel, I can relate to that wonderful feeling in your heart right now and your ego and self worth just increased by 100%. I felt the same way when the first, second and third lady approached me but then I learnt my lesson.
Fact is, majority of the women that have the courage to ask guys out have cheating tendencies. She will definitely port when she sees a better guy.
I have dated them before and I am never Gonna date them again.
My dear, I didn't post this to argue or debate on it. It's an advise for a brother not all and you can give him yours if know better. What I wrote up is 100% from experience.
I don't advise a woman to actively pursue a man. You know why? It's because we rarely see them as genuine option, just for fun.
We know what it takes to approach a woman for a date, you need guts and a guy who's got this guts in large quantities is likely to be a cheat, and yes, majority of guys are not faithful.
The first lady that approached me was in love(or whatever it was) with me because of my height, she later met a light skinned guy that's taller and then she ported.
I won't tell you about the rest and why I had to conclude that majority of them are not genuine option.
Now talking about cheating, A woman who has the guts to approach men for dates is just like guys, she too will port and their own is even worse because women change their mind often. I disagree with you a bit because in the western world, I have heard cases of ladies making the 1st move with good intention for the guy who is shy to express his feelings once they (ladies) observed the feelings is mutual. Here in Africa, what you wrote is strongly applicable only on rare cases such works. |
