I'm not the superstitious type.

They were just unfortunate.

The first one that got pregnant married the man who did so.

She died during the childbirth of either her third or fourth child. Her death devastated her mum (my grandma) and she died within a year from grief. My dad was around 15 at the time. A mama's boy.

I never met her.

The younger sister of the one that died had fertility issues. My dad wanted to pay for an operation that would rectify the problem.

Her father threatened to deal with my dad should anything happen to her during the surgery.

My dad washed his hands off. She must be around 70 now. No child

My granddad who was a cocoa farmer sent a daughter of his to school, and she got pregnant.

He swore never to send another daughter to school and he kept to his word for decades.

Eventually, he relented like any good dad would and sent another of his daughters to school. She too got pregnant.

Such is life!

Nobody is against immigration, but illegal means is what is destroying countries, after all most Ist world countries were built by immigrants ..
As if that is not enough, some of those immigrants always move around with their bad behaviour, telling people they met on ground how they should live their life .. Isn’t that madness ?
Any migrant that came to Europe through visa will never misbehave, because of the stress involves in getting visa..

In Uk for example, immigrants from Pakistan, Iran , Iraq other Islamic countries have taken it upon themselves to be misbehaving , and be imposing their useless ideology on people, the same ideology that made you to flee your country .These are people that came illegally, and Uk government gave them an asylum on humanitarian basis,only to turn around and start behaving like senseless people they are with their useless behaviour..
They are the ones giving good immigrants in Europe bad names.
The unfortunate part of their behaviour is that when the wave of anti immigrantion policy comes, it will sweep everyone both good and bad immigrants..

This is not even actually all about immigration, it’s an Islamic radicalism that is prevalent among Muslim migrants..

They should integrate with the society they found themselves in, and stop this Islamic nonsense or they should go home !

There's nothing wrong with borrowing money. Everyone who wants to grow MUST borrow money. For example, Dangote is a billionaire in dollars, but he's still borrowing money.

We should be more interested in transparency, accountability and borrowing money to invest in projects that can repay the loans over time.

This has nothing to do with churches but has to do with culture. Westerners often have far less responsibilities than Nigerians/Africans. They are more affluents and only responsible for the welfare of their 1, 2 or at most 3 children. When they died, they often will their fortune to their churches, charities or their old school. This is how many of them have money to do these charity program. Some of them also apply for welfare program grants from government through their charity organizations. Many people here complaining about tithes, don't pay tithes . White people pay their tithes religiously.

Part of the culture is the embarrassment or shock some of our people attending predominantly western church experience when they lose loved their parent. I witnessed a situation at the party of a deceased Nigerian. One of the children was attending majority white church. while the siblings and the deceased attends a Nigerian Church. At the burial party, may be five people of African origin came to the party with her. meanwhile a lot of church members followed her siblings. Her church only gave her card.
One is not better than the other. We all have a way of doing our own charity work. A single 30 yrs old Nigerian making $50,000 a year may be paying school fees in Nigerian for 2 kids and a white person making $100,000 only responsible for him/herself alone.

While in Nigeria i know how many pastors i placed on salary. Infact there are months 200 to 300k goes out from me to charity with an average of 200k dedicated to charities. Please note that this was when Naira had value. A bag of rice then was below 35k...


When i came to the uk i could remember how we had our baby here in uk inform the church via pastor immediately at hospital n non shown up for almost a week.
When they knew we were new immigrants they showed less concern or concerns with caution as if u need immigration assistance from thm.

Was it the issue when i needed the church assistant to secure accommodation when i arrived because i needed a guarantor but they declined. Mind u i hsd over 5 months rent upfront.

Was it about job? Nothing of such. They preach one n do opposite

How do whites do it, the one i attended did not collect money, i even offered money they refused.

I only spent to attend their conference in another country sha.

Maybe they accept contributions or they gain from organising events. But it seems they have checks and balances to checkmate greedy pastors.

Our Nigerian Christian community don't practicalise love
By January they will call for first fruit... That's all ur salaries.
Remember this December they called for thanksgiving where members will bring or empty their purse.
Then we talk about tithe and offering
And unending seed sowing.

So i was excited to share to show love still exists in Christian communities.
