Sincere advice especially now. NYSC is part of the things that should be scrapped jarè! It's still about the South servicing the North. I can't forget how God saved me from death on the way to Abuja for NYSC in one of the K-states years ago. First, from the ambush by bandits who "captured" my luxury bus, and one on one encounter with one of the bandits because I raised my head when I heard voices thinking highway patrol teams had come to our rescue then. 14 Likes |

Why not Those who earned it through scholarship should put PhD after their names to tell us it is academically earned while honorary should have Hon - (singular) Hons - (plural) after their names. Eg: Pastor Dr. Jerry Eze (Hons) Apostle Dr. Michael Orokpo (PhD) |

THINGS FALL APART stands out... ARROW OF GOD...also A MAN OF THE PEOPLE... "That boy (Ikemefuna) calls you father, don't partake in his death..." Who made this statement and to whom? "Eat the yams so that the new yam festival can be announced..." Who said this and to whom? Is Chike in Chike and the River the character named SMOG? "Africa did not hear of culture from the Europeans for the first time. Before they arrived Africans have been handling their affairs amicably, settling disputes - such as land/boundary disputes, family/marriage disputes etc without recourse to killing one another" - A paraphrase of what led this great writer to write THINGS FALL APART - a book which aptly captured African cultural heritage. |
