Career / Career Development Training Program™ by Wumivic(m): 3:50pm On Aug 25, 2014
A job is something you do to earn money. Jobs are an important part of our lives. Jobs provide money to pay bills and buy the things we need. Jobs can also be a way that people feel their worth in life. Although we believe that jobs aren't the only things that make people valuable to society, we realize that jobs are important. For young people, jobs help us explore what we are passionate about, learn skills, and connect with people. It helps us in the process of our Career Development.

The fact is that it’s not all of us that will become an Entrepreneur. Some people need to gather experience from where they work to get enough experience to establish a firm company of theirs. In this part of the country we have found ourselves it’s hard for the upcoming entrepreneurs to quickly and easily make it because of lack of fund. So that’s why some of us need a good job to get started.

The job market is weaker than it has been in at least 80 years. The recession has claimed almost millions jobs to date. A lot of positions have recently been eliminated and so many people have lost their jobs. Unemployment continues to expand with more layoffs and downsizings. The recent Immigration Recruitment tragedy is a pointer to this fact. As the economy shrinks, debt soars, and the headlines proclaim one financial meltdown after another. Worst of all, it seems that no one’s hiring!

Do you even think that no one is hiring? It’s actually a false assumption to say that “no one’s hiring” – regardless of how bad the economy and job market may seem. The fact is that every company is hiring all the time, if you can offer precisely what they need when they need it.

The Career Development Training Program is designed to expose you to the strategies and secrets of what companies need when they need it in order to make you land your dream job in no time. Even if it is a naked true that no one is hiring, the training program shows you how to make real money with your discipline now both online and offline without a paid job.

At this Career Development Training Program we will be unravelling to you the proven secrets of:

1. How to discover your real potentials and field to develop your career by taking our PAPER BASED CAREER TEST (PBCT)
2. How to get your IDEAL JOB within 60 days at this particular time when the economy is not friendly.
3. How to practically Network your way to your dream job within 60 days. Remember one of the best ways to get the job you need is NETWORKING. You will be exposed to how to network both online and offline.
4. How to make effective use of your Marketing Communication Tools. We will show you how to write an outstanding CV that sell you and bring the job to your doorstep plus how to win any interview.
5. How to make real & constant money with your discipline even without a paid job. This is for sure…
6. How to make at least $1,000 monthly simple by selling your knowledge at the top 5 online places.

Business / Do You Know What Sort Of Business You Are Really In? by Wumivic(m): 7:17pm On Dec 16, 2013
Smith was an entrepreneur who has established small business. He has gone ahead to create a new marketing course so as to market his small business effectively for huge profit that will enlarge his business. He visited his friend, Ken, to tell him about the new development. He was so excited telling Ken all about the new marketing course that he had just developed and how awesome it was. Ken patiently sat and listened to him.

He was just looking at Smith how he was really enthused about what he had just created. After Smith had finished his boasting and gloating Ken stood up and started to walk away, he said, “That’s great Smith. Now the real trick is to get people to buy it.” Smith reacted to his comment and said, “What do you mean? Of course people are going to buy it. It’s the best work I’ve done to date.” But as Smith Think deeply on the comment of Ken he quickly realized that he had actually forgotten the principle objective of his business.

Ken reminded Smith that his principle occupation was NOT marketing consulting; it’s the MARKETING of consulting services.

May I also ask you this question as you’ve read through this short story of an entrepreneur, what is the principle objective of your small business? When you know the principle objective of your business will make you know what sort of business you are really in.

Being able to answer this question will go a long distance of knowing how to position your business for hundreds and hundred thousand customers to get to know about your business. And you actually know the result when hundred thousand customers know your business and patronize you.

Career / What Is Your Inner Resource? by Wumivic(m): 2:30pm On Dec 16, 2013
As I go through this journey of life I’ve seen so many things happening and I’ve read a lot. I have seen people who ordinarily would have lived and existed on disabled payments throughout their lives and existence, but have risen to become major contributor to the economy through investments, inventions and effective leadership quality.

I would like to bring to your notice now the assumption of people that mineral resources is in relation to having a stable economy. To me I think this assumption is totally not true. Imagine a graduate comes out of the higher Institution with the hopes of seeking a future in a well-established organization, only to realize that there are other graduates in pursuit of the job he is applying for, even with improved writing skill of application letter; or a parent with the hope of giving his children the best of education money can buy, but their financial condition is just making it so difficult to realize this dream. Research and study has shown that a Nation’s economy cannot be improved based on the attention she gives to mineral resources, except for her attention on human resources – desires, skills and knowledge, which is one reason country like our dear Nigeria and other in this same category do not have a transformational setting all because we choose to see human resources as a small area of investment that contributes the smallest value to our work and life.

Nations like the U.S.A., South Korea, Japan and the U.K. are major contributors to the world’s economy. Why? Because the embrace human resources. The reason a country like Singapore is where she is now is largely because of her investment in human resources – desire, skill and knowledge...

Education / Why Most Job Searches Fail… Part 2 by Wumivic(m): 12:39pm On Jul 09, 2013
Last week we discussed five types of scholarships. This week we will conclude it by explaining the remaining five

There are:

6. Institutional Scholarships
7. Creative Scholarships
8. Unusual Scholarships
9. Community Service Scholarships
10. General Scholarships

6. Institutional Scholarships
These are scholarships awarded by a specific college or university (institution) to a student planning to attend that institution.

7. Creative Scholarships
For those artistic at heart, there are creative scholarships available to help you pursue your passion. Art scholarships, music scholarships and even dance scholarships usually involve an audition of some sort, and can help you get through art school or an art program at a university. Regardless of your creative field, you can rest assured that there is a scholarship out there just for you. However, it is your job to find it and to apply!

8. Unusual Scholarships
Unusual scholarships are a lot of fun and a great way to be creative and get some cash while you’re at it. They are typically sponsored by private companies and are meant to be fun. For instance, there is a scholarship available for left-handed students and one for who can create the best prom dress out of duct tape. Even though there aren’t very many of these off-beat scholarships each year, there are enough to attract significant attention from potential applicants, schools and even the media. Because of this, they may be a bit competitive. However, if you have a killer idea, go for it!

9. Community Service Scholarships
Community service scholarships are fantastic for those that love to give to others and give back to their communities. If you already perform a lot of community service, then a scholarship in this vein may be perfect for you. There is also the Federal Work Study program, which awards a percentage of their funding to students performing community service activities. It may be a viable option for you if you were planning on using work-study as a means of paying for universities anyway.

10. General Scholarships
These are other scholarships which are awarded for a variety of reasons that do not fall into one of the above categories. These may be for reasons of the student’s association with the objectives of the sponsoring organisation. For example, some corporations give scholarships to their employees’ children or based upon academic success.

You can now proceed to secure that scholarship that fit you.

I wish you success…

Jobs/Vacancies / Why Most Job Searches Fail… Part 2 by Wumivic(m): 12:29pm On Jul 09, 2013
This is the concluding part of this article

So, here are three tips you can use to avoid job search failure:

# One: You Need A Good Personal Plan
Your successful job search truly begins with a simple yet very clear plan. You need to know where you are going and you need to know specifically what your ultimate goal is. Then you need to commit to moving forward. Not taking action simply leads nowhere, while those who are focused, positive and committed to taking action succeed.

# Two: You Must Have the Best Tools
These are the tools that you invest in that will help and support you in your job search efforts. They include (a combination of) but are not limited to: recruiters, the right job boards, networking, associations and trade journal research and involvement, social networking sites and capitalizing on your companies of choice as well as companies in growth mode. Growth mode companies can be a really critical component to your success because 80% of key positions are filled before they are ever advertised.

# Three: You Should Create Your Courageous Goal
This is your personal weekly goal for the actions and activities you want to complete and the time you want to complete them in. You want your goals to be “courageous”, meaning they will stretch you to achieve goals just a little bit out of your comfort zone. You also want your goals to be simple, crystal clear and motivating. This will create consistency in your activity which will bring you an abundance of positive job search results.

Pioneering a results oriented and successful job search is a combination of timing, common sense strategies and the right resources. Knowing how to avoid traps that lead to a failed job search will put you on the right path to achievement of your career goals.

Step forward… Take action… Don’t relent…

You can make it…

Education / Not All Scholarships Are Merit-based… by Wumivic(m): 11:26am On Jul 05, 2013
Hello,

A common misconception about scholarships is that they are only available for the smartest students with the highest GPAs. However, this just isn’t even close to true. There are scholarships out there for every type of student seeking a university education whether undergraduates or post-graduates.

Scholarships may be classified into 10 primary groups but today I will give out only 5
1. Academic Scholarships
2. Need Scholarships
3. Sociology Scholarships
4. Athletic Scholarships
5. Scholarships for Women

1. Academic Scholarships
Academic scholarships are also often referred to as merit scholarships; though a merit scholarship can mean anything that has some level of contest to it. These are for the students with the 4.0 GPAs, years as part of several extracurricular activities and the well-rounded applications. They typically have the highest payouts and are considered very prestigious as they are often national awards.

2. Need Scholarships
This is financial aid for which the student and family’s financial situation is a primary factor in determining the recipient. Usually such scholarship will cover all or part of the tuition and may even cover living costs. Very often even need-based private scholarships require the awardees to be distinguished students, as the deed founding the award may include a phrase like “for the studies founder’s favourite subject in founder favourite institution of higher education for a talented youth of limited means from founder’s home town/country/state, etc.”

3. Sociology Scholarships
This is financial aid where applicants must initially qualify by race, religion, or national origin. After filtering the applicants based on their ethnicity, additional factors are taken into consideration to determine the final recipients.

4. Athletic Scholarships
For students with strong academics and physical skills, athletic scholarships are the way to go. There is practically a scholarship for every single sport, from volleyball to football; gymnastics to cheerleading. So, if you excel in anything physical, you should definitely pursue an athletic scholarship.

5. Scholarships for Women
There are scholarships specifically for women. Since universities were dominated by men for many years, scholarships have been created for strong, career-minded women that need assistance paying for universities expenses. If you are female, it is strongly recommended you pursue a scholarship for women. Moreover, scholarships for women are typically available in just about any field.

I will stop here today and continue next Tuesday.

Don’t allow anything to stop you from achieving your academic goals.

Jobs/Vacancies / Why Most Job Searches Fail... by Wumivic(m): 11:17am On Jul 05, 2013
Hello,

If you were asked that what constitutes a failed job search, what will you say

Specifically it’s a job search that was prematurely ended or did not end up resulting in the goals that you originally set for yourself.

This is the same as letting discouragement and disillusionment lead us to settle for much, much less than we deserve and are capable of.

In order to uncover exactly why this happens, it’s important to understand how a job search is often unintentionally set up for failure.

Let me paint a picture of a typical scenario which goes like this:

You start out with a lot of excitement and a dreamy abundance of possibilities for your next career move & that wonderful job.

With a hearty enthusiasm you dive into activities such as updating your resume, searching job boards & daily newspapers and perhaps talking confidentially to a couple of trusted friends.

In the days to follow perhaps you contact a recruiter source that you know of or that may have been referred to you, connect with one or two industry peers and maybe answer a few on line job postings.

Then the following week you continue to answer several more job ads online and in the newspaper especially Guardian or Punch.

Week three finds you with a certain apprehension about the lack of response you have received so far.

You double check your resume for typo’s and check to make sure your phone line is working.

And because these efforts above rarely produce any significant results, week four finds you feeling a range of negative emotions and the downward spiral really begins.

And since we are on the subject here are some underlying issues associated with job search failure:

Fear of the unknown and that you don't know *how* to do something

Waiting to do something or suspending action until you are ready because you want it to be *perfect*

Over thinking your actions and others reactions to you

And finally, fear of actually reaching your goals (fear of success)
Combined, negative thoughts and feelings mixed with a poorly executed job search strategy is a true recipe for failure.

So, here are three tips you can use to avoid job search failure:

You will get the three tips in Part 2 of this article next week Tuesday.

Don’t be discouraged. We shall all get there if we don’t lose hope.
