i am really sick and tired listening to my fellow youths complaining about unemploymet,,, Just like "2sexy" said,, find a niche and fill it up,,,

I once was an unemployed youth with no street credibility,,the urge to succeed in life was my ultimate goal,,,i read a lot of books in search of that golden niche,, then i came accross FOREX TRADING. At first i thought it was a scam,, but i made alot of research on.. Learn the business for 3yrs on,,, now i am proud to say i am a professional in forex trading.. I make a roughly $5000 monthly for the past one year

Hello corpers,
When you have finally settled down and come to task with the realities on ground vis-a-vis the employment situation, and you have decided to take the bull by the horns by finding a need around you and fulfilling it,please closely examine items of everyday use.I guess you know them, but if you are not sure, then visit www.entrepreneurialjunction..com

Thank u guys.. Its a FACT. Ur advice wl really help many. The TRUTH is,
1. Many pple do not hv it in them to become entreprenuers. They just love working in pre-defined systems. Some just believe in decent living, decent jobs, decent pay. Commercialism is nt thier flare.
2. Its nt fair. Seeing grads doin menial stuffs. Then why did we go to school?
3. Pple need stable jobs to raise capital for self-employment.
4.i feel entreprenuership without the government as a backbone has superficial effects in the real growth of an economy. Business is nt all.. Where is the steel factory, power, highly mechanised/automated farming?, these r strong issues.
5. Very soon we wld hv a DIY crazy country. Where every youth has a registered company. Everybody into cleaning services, is a general contractor. Study china, india , maylasia.. It was a complimentary form of advancement.. The people were zealous and the government was ready.

And Batch C will add to the number quite soon.
Peeps, jobs are scarce but the internet is ubiquitous. An average nigerian graduate should be able to learn and master some online biz like BOM and FOREX. If you can pay the price, you can stack as much as 6k dols permonth.
Inaddition, you can learn softwares like REVIT/AUTOCAD and start making archy designs at cheap rates for a start while u're seaching for jobs.

afolayangs: Well, I welcome them and it is my prayers that they get something doing with the little they have if any.

my story. I have got Bsc Econs in 2005 from unilorin finished NYSC in 2006 August to be precise and that was with an IT firm after which I decided to stay at home until 18 dec 2006 when i got job with one of the investment banks(IB) in VI. I left the IB in august 2008 for ma Msc and graduated in 2009 with Msc. corporate finance and investment. That was in the UK.

To cut the long story short am now with of the Development Financial Institution(DFIs)in Abuja.

my advise:

1. start business if you have little capital. just think of an idea that people can buy into e.g home cleaning, running errand for a large estate like payment of their utility bills, dry cleaning, etc
2. apply for jobs. please don't be tire of this
3. improve your skills, 2nd degree and professional exams.

This may not really be what you like to read but its an advise

Bless you all.

Hey guyz, there are lots around to tap. We need not complain but cease the opportunities around. The next big thing is about to happen in Nigeria like the advent of Mobile telecommunication. It is the "Mobile Money Revolution". The most interesting thing is that it is not meant for the bigshotz but for the unbanked. A mode of sending, receiving and paying for goods & services through your mobile phone.

SEe guyz, you can become a Certified Master Agent and render services to the public and make residual income.

Virtual Terminal Network (VTN) is a licensed Mobile Money Operator by CBN. They have the most reliable platform and offer affordable training/certification for Agents. The success of this initiative is to have as many Agents as possible like you & I.

Hurry today and secure your future...

kilokeys: Guys guys... Personally i am skilled in music being doing it since 97. Hmmm, doing business wld nt improve u and the economy in the long run.
For instance, i read agricultural engineering. There is little one can do on his/her own. Wld i buy an acre land for 10m to plant maize?, buy a tractor of 45m?, when wld i recover my capital?.. These are the Government's responsibilities. most of the personal biz or runz or self employed stuff pple are talking abt profits little or nothing. can u run a home with its profits? Start a family?.
nigerians are just over-motivated jare... More than 5,000 biz names are registered with CAC every week. Everybody na General contractor, everybody dey into clearing and forwarding, branding, cleaning services and so on.. How does this help the country, or u ? Besides cash to feed urself, flex a lil. our Government needs to wake up jare. We are a consuming nation. Busy with paperworks. God help us
mumu no de mislead ppl.you can rent land for 2500 and tractor for 5k or buy for 5m not 45m.

ode!... Where dem dey sell brand new utility tractor with basic attachments like ploughs, ridgers, harrows and tines for 5m. Na motor? Or na teeth i go attach to the 3 point linkage or na ur wretched fingers i go put for d P.T.O shaft to work on d land? Besides, where in ogun state can u rent an acre (12plots) for 2,500 naira? Ignorant retard. If u r a petty farmer working with hoes. I am nt. I wldnt want to start that way. Besides, look at the big picture of what i want. An acre with basic farm structures, like accomodation/farm shed, for housing, security and tools, and for tractors and attachments, store for grains and fertilizers. I wld need to carry out land clearing and survey operations, wld need a water source for irrigation. Probably a borehole with tank, pumping machine incorporated with a drip-irrigation system over the 12 plots, pay my workers. U cant start meaningful farming in a small way. Na garden?
I am an agricultural engineer, who are you?

Guys, spend time in deep thinking and in self-development of useful skills.
This is the age of entrepreneurship. Ride the wave.

Stop using your time to be yahoozing, partying and chasing girls.
There'll be time for that much later when you're not as broke.

All this one na story. If you are really serious, yyou will get started anyhow. I read about a man today in punch newspaper who currently has 103 people in his employ. How did he start? Anyhow! He quite his job with an engineering firm and went out to learn soap making and he started making soap to sell.

He faced a lot of challenges but persisted till he got married and relocated to Abuja. At Abuja,he and his wife started as food vendor but today he is the owner of a real estate firm.

You seem to have a big dream but not wanting to start small. O boy you go grow white beards.

Role up your sleeve and get to work. Think big but start small. Never dispise your days of little beginning.

As a Nigerian heading a charitable organisation in The Gambia, West Africa, I will advise graduate job seekers interested in working in The Gambia in any field to browse www.forewengam.org and contact the Executive Director of Foundation for Rural Education, Wildlife and Environment. I graduated from OAU, Ile-Ife and also served from 1989 to 1990 in Kaduna State, though things were better in those days. The organisation may be of help as there are opportunities in the country.

When I said people should look for opportunity by looking for problems to solve; problems begging for a solution.

Has anyone ever thought about the invasion of rats, especially in a place like Lagos? I believe they have the largest population of rats on there. What have people done to solve this problem over the year? Solution came in form of rat gum, trap , and poison but has these been very effective over the years? Not entirely I guess.

What if someone come up with a eco-friendly chemical formular that could make rats infertile, can you see the possibilities? Someone can even go further to patner with the state governments and make boat loads of cash.

Now you do not have to be a chemical or lab engineer or wizards to get this done. You may wish to patner with someone in the field and share the profit 50-50 or pay him off by buying the entire right to the formular.

That's how Cocacola and my Microsoft came into existence--the bought the formular!

That's just one.

Has anyone thought of creating professionally packaged educative videos that could teach kids in secondary schools physics, chemistry, biology, economics , mathematics etc? But all in a very easy to understand terms , such that kids will find it easy to comprehend in a long time and parents will appreciate. All you have to do is do it better than it is taught at school, make it friendly, throw in some stories and with fluent english.

These are million naira ideas I have shared with you and any serious minded person would take advantage of this. There are more of ideas like this which I have in my head. My room-mate at school laughed at me when I said I will pay 50k to attend a conference at Abuja come next year. He probably judge me by my present status but what he hasn't realized is that some people are 'walking' ATM and they don't need more money in their wallet neither are they bothered if they lost everything.

IDEA+PROBLEM=SOLUTION + MONEY

My guy . I like u anyway.. It takes one idea, just one to explode..
Some places for lag too dirty jare. If the houses are clean, drainages are clean, rats go run enter bush.
Lol.. The rat idea is nt a so-good idea sha. Rats are mammals.. They r a neccesary evil sometimes. Seed dispersion, land burrowing e.t.c.
wldnt d chemical affect other rat-like animals like the grasscutter, squirrel and so on?. Even humans might nt be so safe. Seepage of chemicals into groundwater.
Eradication of a specie, any specie wld disrupt d ecosystem of that area.. What wld snakes eat when all rats are gone? Rats are easy meals for bigger predators.
My guy.. We shall get there.. Let the ideas roll in.. One wld be good enough. I am so sure
