First of all, Kwara state doesn't pay.
Secondly, with the exception of Ilorin West, a bit of Ilorin south and Offa, there's no development. Other LGs pay Corps members through microfinance bank or Bank of Agriculture.
The orientation camp is a mess. It's not a place to be proud of. Good water was hell
The state isn't friendly with Corps members. You are easily cheated as a 'Corper'.
NYSC Kwara state love querying corpers. They query people like they breathe in oxygen.

I'm a Corps member currently serving in Kwara state (15A to be precise). Honestly, no Corps member should be proud of serving in Kwara state.

No matter how bad a camp may look....people have actually gone dia...and have had cray fun!!!....

Is so not in ilorin......its actually 2hrs out of ilorin en route jebba, Niger state, in edu local government, and is called yikpata camp!...

It's a cool place....dusty and very close to a major river. Yikpata camp as its called is one of d oldest camps in nigeria and it's just dia.
It's surrounded by bushes and yes dia r reptiles...

But the predominant animals seen are scorpions and snakes....so alwaiz have ur jungle boots on...

As with most camps in Nigeria there is no water but there are natives who sell river water at N20 a bucket to corpers so u could shower, wash etc.....

There are toilets too but you know Nigerian students/fresh corpers...peeps still shut-put and that sortta ruins the freshness of the air around. In my camp doe...soldiers will make u pick 'em up...if ur hostel mates defecate and ruin d environment.

Errr.....what else...

the engine is a disposable one, u will always need a change of engine every service miles.

I.e u will need to buy new engine after 5000 miles.
