Let me spare you the details of the gist and go straight to the point.

For more than a year now, this girl and I have been casually chatting--mostly flirting on WhatsApp. I met her the last time I went visiting home. She also was in my shoes, but she came from Abuja.
From the very start of our convo, I had been straightforward with her (just for the nacks, and she was apparently cool with it). In fact, she mentioned that she was not the relationship type.
Last year, I was mobilized, and posted to Abuja for my service year. I thought it was the perfect opportunity to go down. On about three occasions, we planned to meet (strictly for knacking), but one thing or the other stopped it, (on my end actually)

Three days ago, she called me that she was in Lokoja, very close to Abuja, and that she can come over if I want her to. Of course, I wanted her to; so, I asked her to come over (for the knacks). I sent her the fare, and she came over yesterday. For reasons best known to me, I lodged her in a hotel. We chatted, flirted and ate, all till around 11PM. While we were chatting, I noticed she started denying her lifestyle, even without asking her. She forgot that she used to post all those on her WhatsApp status. Or maybe, she thought I forgot. It was at this point I discovered something was fishy.

Aunty, oya come to bed and let's get started na. She did. Then, as a guy na, I started touching her. Na so aunty talk say she no be my girlfriend, therefore, make I no dey touch her like that. In my mind, I said, na joke this sisi dey jare. She just dey form. I pressed further, but she kept on turning me down. It was at this point I had to choose between losing my grip or holding my grip.

I picked up my phone and called my guys in the compound if they will be able to open the gate for me. Luckily for me, the third guy I called was up. Stood up from the bed, dressed up, transferred the same amount of fare I she expended for coming to my place into her account. Gave her cash to find her way out of the estate.

Before I left, I told her she messed up big time, and that I cannot tolerate that. "Goodnight, and safe trip back to wherever you came from" I said. (This is because I discovered she didn't come to Abuja solely because of me)

Na so I commot. On my way home, I missed her call once and that even reminded me to block and delete her contact.

So, my question is, did I overreact?

I am a chronic introverted guy.
But I tend to not have good relationship with people.
I suffer a times from low self esteem.
Though, I am not rich. Still trying to make money.

I have observed something about myself over the years, I tend to over react to what people say about me

Perhaps because of my personality some people tend to take me for a ride. This doesn't go down well with me. I tend to over react to it of which at the end of the day I get blamed.
An instance was when I was in discussion with somebody and the person saidI don't even know anything that I am a dullered that how did I finish school etc. I didn't want to react but he persist. Though he was older, I had to react violently toward him. We engaged in verbal and even physical fight.
He triggered my anger.
At the end of the day the whole community blame me.


I am easy going but I tend to not have full grip of my self control.

And it's affecting my relationship with people and it's affecting my confidence in life.
I have prayed and fasted about this.
I have called on the holy spirit
But I am still not at the level of a good relationship with people.

What can I do.

I tend to always hate myself after I have overreacted some times I have thoughts of suicide.

Well, no matter how u tend to be in life, people must talk. Just live ur life and enjoy it. People no get joy for dis life most especially dis part of d world where we hate minding our business
