many coporate website are just plain awful, slow as snail, banally designed and baffling to browse, so i have put up eight points to check anytime u re designing a site. feel free to add other points to make your website really sing. 1. does your home page load quickly on and ordinary modem? 2. is your messag ud and clear 3. can u even find the message 4. does everything work (including all the links) 5. does your site meet its objective 6. are your visitors having fun 7. can people find answers fast 8. is the site really interactive |
flash vs sliverlight? will microsoft ever stop this rat race, always wanting to domiante every sector. well I have tried the lousy sliverlight, it is no where near flash. what's ur pick? |
the new Flash CS3 is da bomb, with advanced video compression, you can even convert your timeline animation to actionscript 3.0 for simpler editing (if u are d developer type), unfortunately u need at least 1GB of RAM to run the application. |
if u like the interface of vista, but ur system cannot carry its weight, then go to http://www.windowsxlive.net and download Vista Transformation pack for your XP, it is so cool u can easily convince anyone that u're using vista. |
Have u heard of java FX? It's a new language by Sun Microsystems, to rival AJAX and FLASH REMOTING in rich internet applications |

Hi, Tommyruns! Beautifully designed site! , but a few things you need to note 1. try using liquid table layout when using dreamweaver so that a browser using 800 X 600 screen resolution can still access the website smoothly 2. the now muzik links is treated as a sub domain of the ruggedman site instead of a seperate site, so I can access nowmuzik site from ruggedman - u get a link like this www.rugg, com/www.muzik.com but great site I must say. I also like what u did with outrage's site. very nice. I might call u for a business one of this days take care! |
this questions as always bugged me an am wondering if a guy and a girl can be "just friends". honest answers only. |
I used it with an emulator, not the actual device (Nokia 3650). It said the flash player was not compatitble. |
@ikezi I developed a webservice with J2ME and try to connect it with flashlite and it gave me errors but when i use the same webservice with Normal Flash it worked proerly - do Flashlite work with webservice? |
In terms of interface(effizy) Coldfusion is better, but in terms of ease of use, easily available support and debugging tools i will choose PHP anytime. Althougn am a big fan of macromedia products - PHP is still better in developing applications that will be seamlessly available over the internet. |
to be frank with you qimpex the panatech site looked a bit brawly, I will encourage you to dump swish and concentrate on flash. you can visit www.2advanced.com to see what developers can achieve with flash. |
Mobile Programming with FlashLite using actionscript 1.x |
The Big Dog Himself - Dan Foster |
the issue here is about branding - u use intel and u feel it is better, if u use AMD u also feel it is better |
there are 2 main ways of programming on phones, if u are looking at developing core application, try using J2ME - but if you want simplicity of use, easy deployment and better GUI support try using Macromedia FlashLite, it comes bundled in Macromedia Flash 8 professional |
Mobile Programming - J2ME and Macromedia FlashLite, which is better |
Swish cannot compare to flash in terms of flexibility, features and the rest. In fact, Swish is just for people who are not concerned about creativity but just want something moving and swirling. |
