I must commend you, koffeed. All your information on the visa process has been insightful and valuable. Thank you. |
What do you mean by another money again? |
Flight leaves around 23pm and arrives 6am the next day which is the 14th. I did draw the attention to the evisa officer via email and he admitted it was a mistake that he used the date of the conference instead of my arrival date. And the South African Airways don’t travel everyday. If I reschedule I will have to travel on the date of the conference and arrive the next day. |
For evisa, if my valid entry date is for e.g 15th but my flight arrival to SA is 14th, will immigration allow me entry? When processing the evisa, this mistake was made by dha but I emailed and the issue was not resolved. What else can I do? |
Delays might have to do with the type of visa and number of applications at a time. I got my conference visa in 4 working days. |
Hmm, this is how mine was. I think other people in this thread had to email dha when they couldn’t view or download the outcome.

With the Nigerian Police Clearance, the person has to have his/her biometrics captured (photo, thumbprint etc). So a physical presence in Nigeria is required. I also messaged the hacc@dha.gov.za regarding the PPC during my application and their response is quoted below: Please be advised that a police clearance is required from any country that you have stayed at for 12 months or more.So in your case, I don't know if a Nigerian PPC or a UK PPC can be used. Although the Nigerian PPC is definitely faster. Alternatively, in the application, you might have to remove the Nigerian Address or at least reduce the year spent to bypass the requirements. That's why I suggested creating a dummy / fake application with a separate profile so you can check out the required documents. |
Bammybestowed:There won't be any link or attachment in the correspondence email. You have to login to your dha dashboard and beside your application there is an icon (an eye icon) beside the awaiting adjudication outcome you have to click on to download the outcome. |
tannystacey:If the second application is submitted, it will automatically be rejected once you submit the form because of similar application. It won't even proceed to the upload document sections. If you are not in a haste, you can wait out your 7 days for the first application to get rejected so you can proceed with the second application. I'm guessing the required documents is what put you off in your first application. About police clearance, this is usually required when you answer you have lived in another country different from your current address within the past 10 years and the duration is more than 12 months (1 year). I experienced this first hand when I applied for conference visa and stated a UK address as my past address for over 2 years +. I was forced to get a police clearance from Nigeria (luckily it took me only a day). I don't know about yellow card from other countries because I applied from Nigeria and it was a required document. Or you can search online for countries that need yellow card for South Africa visa. I would also advise to submit a dummy application like with different email, fake passport no, fake name etc with similar information as your second application so you can see what the required documents would be. This would help you to know beforehand what the required docs for your second application would be. Because if you submit your second application (after waiting 7 days for first application to be rejected) and you get required documents that you are unable to get, that's another 14 days wait for your application to be rejected before you can try applying again. |
hunee:I went for the Police Clearance. Awaiting the certificate. My username is @i_raymie My application is for a conference / workshop visa. |
Please where do I upload hotel booking among the options below? A. Flight Itinerary or booking B. Additional supporting docs C. Proof of address / contact of SA resident Thank you
|
hunee:Thank you hunee. I am in Abuja. Am I to go to the Police with any document requirement and is there any fee/money to be paid? |
In follow-up to this, I tried creating a new application, filled the form, submitted but it was automatically rejected because of my previous application which is still open and awaiting document submissions (I've not tried submitting this one because of the missing police clearance). Do you know how I can cancel the application and start a new one? i have not done any payment yet. My guess about the police clearance even though i applied for conference visa might be because I put a UK address for the field that says past address other than present address over the last 10 years. And I think this police clearance is referring to UK police clearance and not Nigeria police clearnace. The issue it will take time to get this clearance and my conference date is this month already. xdastardx: |
Hello, please I'm applying for a conference visa but I am being asked for a police clearance certificate as a required document. I don't know why my own case is different. Other people that have applied for conference visa based on this thread, it was not a requirement for them. What do you think could be the problem? Can I abandon that application and start all over again as time isn't on my side to process a visa before the conference date. Thank you |
How about the network service in the camp? I use etisalat and would like to know if there is good coverage in the camp, especially the 3g connection? I'm planning to bring my bucket and pillow from home. Is it advisable or to get from the mami camp? Note, coming from abj so I'm not concerned about the load. |
Some one dropped his number to create a whatsapp group earlier, is that still valid? Fellow female pcm, indicate please. Need to look for bedmate and start making friends as soon as possible. ![]() BTW Abuja was my choice but couldn't fill that due to unavailability. Hence, opted for Nasarawa. #God'sPlan. Any experience to share? Thanks, Thanks, Thanks. ![]() |
Hello #TeamNasarawa. I'm in! Stream 1, first choice. |
Hello guys, please a question regarding getting your transcripts/cert. verified by the Min. of Education for foreign trained PCM. Is it compulsory only for those who graduated from Ghana? What if you schooled like in the UK or USA ? Many thanks in advance to anyone kind enough to give me an answer. ![]() |

Hi, I topped-up using *888*pin# (wow weekend promo) and discovered that it is valid only for the weekend and for calls. Is there any way I can recover it back or get it transferred to my main account balance, say as the money is a lot and I want to use it for data plans and not for calling... |
