The Naira on Friday at the parallel market depreciated against three international
currencies at the close of trading for the week.

On Friday in Lagos showed that the Naira
depreciated by N1 or 0.45 percent against the dollar due to high demand. It sold for N221 against the dollar from the N220 it sold on Monday, June 15.

The Naira also lost N27 to sell at N352 to the pound, representing 8.31 per cent depreciation from the N325 it traded on June 15.Besides, the Naira against the euro went
for N245 compared with the N238 it sold on June 15, representing N7 or 2.97 per cent drop. The Naira against the dollar at Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) official rate remained
at N196.90, the rate since June 11.

But it fell by N7.96 or 2.61 per cent to the pound, selling for
N313.31 from the N305.31 it sold on June 15. The currency also depreciated against the euro to sell for N224.58

A bureau de change operator, Mr Harrison Owoh said that the depreciation in all segments was due to a shortfall between demand and the foreign exchange available for sale.

Owoh, who is the Managing Director of HJ Trust Investment Ltd., Lagos, said that a further shortfall in forex supply may lead to further depreciation.

It was a sorry sight in Ikorodu area of Lagos State when a
man, Solomon Ajisafe and his sister, Ayomide Ajayi, brutally
beat up his wife, Opeyemi, over allegations of adultery.

Not done with the beating, the forcefully inserted a beer
bottle and dried pepper into the woman's private part, an
act that had her momentarily insane.

Though the case is before the Ikorodu Magistrates' Court
and the culprits have been remanded in prison custody
pending when judgement will be passed, members of the
civil society, women rights advocate and the general public
have been clamouring for sever punishment for the duo so
as to serve as a deterrent to others.

months ago, where some women were accused of stealing
pepper in the market and had pepper poured into their
private parts, leading to one of them losing her life.

On Tuesday, June 16, 2015, a Manhattan courtroom allowed
a jury watch the raunchy sex tape involving Rick Ross baby mama, Lastonia Leviston, as the lawsuit against 50 Cent continued.

Multiple reports say the court room was turned into a virtual peep show when nine jurors watched clips of raunchy sex involving Leviston.

The video was viewed by the jury that had to determine 50 Cent's fate in a Supreme Court lawsuit filed by 36-years old Leviston, against her estranged baby daddy's rival for
allegedly doctoring the randy recording and then posting it online, where it has been seen by 4 million viewers.

SportsAFCON 2017: Expect More New Faces In My Team – Keshi by xlash(op): 6:28am On Jun 18, 2015
Super Eagles coach, Stephen Keshi has stated that he will
continue to experiment with the national team as the Eagles chase qualification for the 2017 African Cup of Nations.

Nigerian fans watched as the Super Eagles laboured to a 2-0 win over Chad last Saturday. Four new faces were introduced to the team by coach Keshi. He argued that this process will continue as he seeks to achieve a balance in his
squad.

“Even if you’ve had a team for five or six years, you will still have one or two additions or subtractions to make in your team because we’re always looking for that balance,” he
said.

“Against Chad I had several new faces and they are players I have been studying for some time. I know their quality and if we had time, long enough to work together it would have been different from what we saw against Chad.

“We have to do what we have to do to find a very solid team and I have confidence in this group of players because there is a lot of potential and we have to keep giving them more opportunities,”
Keshi said.

However, football administrator, Ahmed Garra Gombe has
stated that Keshi was heading for another failure, if he continued with what Gombe termed as his uncoordinated
approach to the Eagles job.

“With the way Keshi is going, I am afraid we are headed for another failure.

“Look at the last match that was played. What was the pattern? Did it look like a team that has a mission?”

Nairaland GeneralMother Rejects Her Baby Born With Deformities by xlash(op):
A two-week old baby girl born covered in wrinkles is struggling to survive after her parents rejected her
because of her rare skin condition.

https://static.pulse.ng/img/incoming/origs3878612/3351855498-w640-h640/Indian-Mother-and-Father-reject-baby.jpg

The tiny tot, who hasn't even been named yet, is being looked after by her grandfather who has been feeding her
with goat milk from a spoon for two weeks before he could get her to a hospital in Maharashtra, western India.

Mamata Dode, 25, the baby's mother, is said to have refused to feed the youngster because of her strange looks and hasn't visited her in hospital. Even her father, Ajay Dode, also 25, has refused to accept her as his.

The infant’s grandfather Dilip Dode, 50, brought her to hospital in Mumbai, around 138 kilometres away from the village where she was born, after she became ill.

He said:
“I am thankful to the hospital for giving free medical treatment to my granddaughter.
It is really disheartening that even her parents have
rejected her but I will go to any extent to save her.”

Mr Dode, a labourer, said that his son and his wife had been
expecting a healthy child just like their three-year-old
daughter Payal, but were left in horror when their new baby
was born with unusual features.

He said:
“During my daughter-in-law’s pregnancy, my son had taken her for regular check ups at primary health care
centre in our village but doctors never told them there was any problem with the baby."

She had a normal
delivery at the hospital. But when the baby was given to us, we were left shocked. She did not have the usual
features and the word soon spread in the village. From our
relatives to villagers, everyone gathered at our home to have a look at the baby. And when they got to see her they ran away in fear. None held the baby in hands as they
thought they will catch the disease.Even my son and daughter-in-law refused to accept her as they were
embarrassed to have given birth to her. But I knew it was not her fault so I started taking care of her. My only hope is that she gets well and lives a normal life. I will try to convince her parents to accept her but if they still refuse, I will raise her up myself. It is not her fault to have born
different and I will not throw her for this disease.”

Wadia Hospital in Mumbai has agreed to meet the cost of her treatment, expected to be 500,000 rupees (around £5,000), and has arranged accommodation on the premisies for Mr Dode.
