He is not SS. He has been like this for over 2 decades that I have known him. From home science to Lasu, Tagbo has always been slim. It's a shame how we speculate about dead people instead of empathising with their significant others. kaziblake: 6 Likes |

You have a point based on today, but let me just give you an example. In the future Nigeria will get better in tax compliance and a lot of individuals as well as Businesses 'may' need CAs to file returns e.t.c so all the people that are 15 today would be in the work force tomorrow or will have an MSME. I know of a colleague in the Americas who makes 80% of his revenue in the one or two months preceding April 15 (Annual 1040 filing of tax). He is a CPA and the USA has 650k CPAs that's 13 times what we have in Nigeria (dead and living). So how do you think population does not matter or that the future of this profession is bleak? homesteady: |

It might interest you to know that Nigeria has < 50,000 (Dead and Living) Chartered Accountants to a population of 200 million Nigerians. So is the future of the profession bright? I'd leave you to decide Abdul4trust1: 1 Like |

You are correct to a certain extent that 'judgement' is required in areas like Audit and Tax, but already artificial intelligence is being used for tax advisory in Australia. Deep learning and artificial intelligence can allow machines to imitate out thought process. In audit, Big Data is being used around the world to identify trends , possibility of frauds , mistatements, creative accounting and the whole shebang. So accountants need to be experts this days and 'add value' the 'machines' are coming and we need to be prepared Nazeren: |

To a large extent many automation tools can post recurrent transactions and would only need an accountant to run end of month e.t.c. What accountants have to fear is that a lot of non-value-added services would surely be replaced by automation. Having said that the future of accountants lie in their ability to be experts in data analysis, AI, e.t.c and more importantly being able to add value to your clients. lastclaire4: 2 Likes |

@ justwise I am not contending issues with you. In the past I have been stuck and asked you for directions. Your decision to remove a post by me that is not only educative but further evidence to counter your earlier accusation is far from appropriate. I challenge you to openly state your rationale for removing the post. I am not scared of bans because you are the Jury, the bench, the prosecution and judge at the same time. But i pray thee sir, be a prisoner of conscience and let the streams of truth course through your veins. |

Emexnairaland: Bro, I am not abreast with Ireland's process at all. But what I do know is that you should be honest in your future applications and state why you were refused. You can see from this thread that UK is becoming unattractive to international students. The world is aware that they are becoming phobic to non-eu migrants and other countries are opening their borders to international students. Good Luck. 2 Likes |

I think you should have played the "berean card" (Acts 17 vs 11) before concluding that I am misleading anyone. A Judicial Review is not an entitlement that's why you pay for the services. If you had read about Adnan Mushtaq in the link I included, i think you'd have refrained from your accusation. As a resident of the UK I am sure you have friends here and there, who may be solicitors. Why don't you ring them up to verify before you vilify? The fact that aggrieved students don't Go through the JR process is not an evidence of its non existence sir. Ignorance and existence are not Siamese twins neither are they directly proportional. Finally sir, I have no business proving you wrong because facts are the same yesterday, today and forever and be kind enough to recant your false accusations after you realise the fact. justwise: 1 Like |

My thoughts on this issue are highlighted below but let me issue a disclaimer that I am not a subject matter expert. To start with, the reason for your refusal can be likened to the proverbial saying of giving a dog a bad name just so we can kill it. The term "genuine" as used by the UKBA is more vague than the "vague answers" they claimed against you. Having said that, I want to implore you to consider the options available to you before taking any decision. I discuss this options below. Option 1 This option is going through the AR process and giving very strong defense points. However, the ECM rarely overturns decisions that were refused based on "genuine student". If the outcome of your AR is negative, don't despair there is a last resort that a lot of students don't explore. It is called a Judicial Review and you would need the services of a UK based solicitor. Your refusal would most likely be upturned because of the famous case of Adnan Mushtaq in 2015 see https://www.thenews.com.pk/print/42073-pakistani-student-wins-right-to-enter-uk-for-studies An ECO had refused Mushtaq on the basis of not being a genuine student but after a Judicial Review, the judge upturned the decision and awarded costs against the home office. Another benefit of the JR is that your solicitor would first send the Home office a pre action notice, giving them 14 days to change their decision or face legal action. Most times the decision would be reversed as the treasury solicitor who represents the home office would review the case and deem it sensible to avoid litigation. If however the Home office decides to go to trial, the JR could be a lengthy and costly (between 500-2000£) process but you'd surely prevail. Option 2 Shop for another school if Ulster won't issue you a fresh CAS and ensure you address the issue by preparing better for the interview. My 2 cents Emexnairaland: 3 Likes |

So sorry about your refusal after the long wait. You can post your refusal notes so that you can be advised on how to respond to all the points raised. Your AR needs to have strong defense points to increase your success chance. Good luck bro Emexnairaland: 1 Like |
