The Tottenham Hotspur SF Racing Team and driver Duncan Tappy recovered from a flat tyre in race one for a second podium finish of the Superleague Formula season at Belgium's Zolder circuit at the weekend. (since we no dey do well for premiership)

Starting seventh on the grid in tricky, wet conditions, Duncan managed to overtake Roma, PSV and Sevilla in the space of four laps between lap 19 and lap 23 to go from sixth to second behind Beijing Gouan.

It was a much-needed boost after two retirements in round two last time out at Germany's Nurburgring and suffering a flat tyre in race one in Belgium.

Qualifying ninth on the grid on Saturday, Duncan picked up the flat tyre on the first lap of race one before finishing 12th overall.

The fine second spot - the team's second podium after round one at Donington - lifted Tottenham Hotspur SF RT up to sixth place overall.

Beijing's win sees them head the table after three rounds with PSV, who claimed third and seventh on the two races, second overall and race one winners Liverpool third.

Duncan said afterwards: ""It was great to be back on the podium - it is the only place where racing drivers want to be.

"It was a brilliant race for me - I really enjoyed it. It was really good to do some overtaking and end up in second position - I am very happy."

Superleague Formula, top 10 after three rounds,
1 Beijing Gouan FC SF Racing Team 207
2 PSV Eindhoven SF Racing Team 193
3 Liverpool FC SF Racing Team 171
4 RSC Anderlecht SF Racing Team 159
5 Sevilla FC SF Racing Team 150
6 Tottenham Hotspur SF Racing Team 149
7 FC Basel SF Racing Team 146
8 AS Roma SF Racing Team 143
9 FC Porto SF Racing Team 138
10 AC Milan SF Racing Team 126

The next round is at Estoril, Portugal on October 18/19

Gareth Bale took a full part in training at Wisla Krakow's Wisly Stadium on Wednesday night.

The defender missed Sunday's loss at Portsmouth with a foot injury but is back in the squad for this afternoon's (Thursday, October 2) UEFA Cup first round, second leg against the Polish champions.

Roman Pavlyuchenko and Vedran Corluka are ineligible for the UEFA Cup while Alan Hutton remains out with a foot injury.

kick-off in Poland is 3.40pm local time, 2.40pm UK time

Our Under-18s put on a late, late show to go top of the league on Saturday.

Goals in the final minutes from Coskum Ekim and Nathan Byrne secured a fine 2-0 victory at Aston Villa to leapfrog previous leaders Birmingham City, who lost against Watford.

The win maintains the lads' unbeaten start to the campaign with three wins and three draws in their opening six matches.

In fact, they have only lost one match in the FAPAL since last October - a run of one defeat in 23 league matches.

"It was a massive win for us," reported coach Alex Inglethorpe. "We played exceptionally well in the first half, probably as well as we've played since I've been here.

"We controlled possession, we played an exciting brand of football and moved the ball around really well.

"To be fair to Villa they came out in the second half and worked hard to stop us playing. We lost our identity a bit, which was disappointing, but what we did do is go toe-to-toe with them to get through the rough patch and defensively we were excellent.

"After 88 minutes we scored the first goal with a counter-attack involving Andros Townsend who found Josh Ekim who in turn hit a fantastic shot from 20 yards that flew in.

"Two minutes later we countered again through Andros, this time he beat two defenders down the left flank before crossing for Nathan Byrne to score at the far post.

"Villa are a good team, a good Academy set-up and it was a fine win for us."

Spurs U18s: Jansson, Smith, Byrne, Kasim (Ekim, 70), Caulker, Butcher, Parrett (Cox, 70), Mason, Obika, Bostock, Townsend. Unused: Butler, Nicholson, Jack.

With the clubs worst start to a season in 53 years, questions have to be asked as to who is really to blame. Is it firmly at the door of one man or is it far wider spread?

It is all to easy to pin the blame on the shambles before us, but for me we really cannot pin the blame on one individual, it is truly a team effort,

Firstly, how many games has Ramos played a settled team and one which the fans honestly looked at the teamsheet and thought he was spot on? I can't think of one, though I thought he was pretty close against Chelsea, our best performance of the season by far,

Poor team selection cannot be blamed on Comolli or Levy, in the main Ramos has a pretty decent squad of players to choose from, but is doing his very best to **** it up,

The great tactician seems obsessed with countering the oppositions strengths at the expense of playing to ours, I have written from pre season, that the team needs to be allowed to settle with a preferred formation and an established team, totally the opposite of the current plan, if such a plan exists,

As for Spurs public enemy No1 Damian Comolli, the fans can blame him for many things, but pre season we were all pretty much happy with the squad we had, we can discuss the issue of who actually brings in the players until we are blue in the face, but we really don't have the evidence to cast the blame solely at the door of DC in my opinion.

Firstly it was clear that Berbatov was probably going to leave as early as May, but was it the fault of Comolli for not getting the replacement? Not for me. It has been stated that the deal for Pavlyuchenko was tied up as early at mid July, but could not be completed until the Bulgarian was sold.

As for the DCM role, we have four obvious candidates already, in Zokora, Huddlestone, O'Hara and now of course Corluka, how many more do we need?? The fact Ramos picks Zokora almost every game would surely indicate he rates the player, so why get a player to fill a role that perhaps the Coach doesn't feel needs filling,

Sure Comolli may be a poor director of football, he may well lack the negotiation skills, experience or have the best contacts or eye for a player, but if this is the case, why is he still in the role, if he was that bad, surely Levy needs to act,

Moving on to Daniel Levy, I have to say his managing of the clubs finances must be the envy of the footballing world. Spurs truly are a healthy club in terms of the balance sheet, but it is becoming more and more clear that this may well be to the detriment of the first team.

I 100% blame Levy for the Berbatov transfer fiasco. It was his ego and bloody mindedness, which forced this deal to the brink and cost us the chance of not only bringing our own players in, but the ones we did were far to late.

I hold Levy mainly responsible for the shambles we are currently in, if for no other reason than it allows Ramos and the players an excuse for their own failings.

Daniel Levy is a very clever man, a proven success in the business world, but for him to get the best out of Tottenham Hotspur PLC, he needs to realise that the £££ isn't more important than the badge he wears on his club blazer.

It also has to be said that several players are using the turmoil and finger pointing at others to their own advantage, far to many are hiding and using excuses for the team needing time to gel for their own failings.

I have written countless times that allowances need to be made, but when the players fail in the very basis, of passing, workrate and a failure to take any responsibility on the pitch, I think it is shameful, the fact we can easily count on the fingers of one hand the players who deserve credit this season, they really have to take a huge chunk of the blame,

If there is to be a scapegoat it will surely be the Frenchman, to go to the guillotine. he is dispensable in terms of his wage being the lowest by far (one or two of our reserve team earn more) and the fact his going gives Ramos time and Levy a saving of face. It may keep the wolves at bay in the short term, but unless the others quickly get their own acts sorted, we will be having the very same discussion all over again and again,

Luka Modric is out of Thursday night's UEFA Cup first round, first leg against Wisla Krakow at the Lane.

The knee injury that forced the midfielder off after 29 minutes of Monday night's match against Aston Villa has ruled him out of contention for our return to Europe.

Head Coach Juande Ramos confirmed at Wednesday's pre-match media briefing that Luka was out and that we were waiting for the results of scans.

Alan Hutton remains out but continues to progress well after a foot injury.

OK OK!! Didn't go to work yesterday as I was a bit down, stayed up (when I should be resting) to watch the match, Verdict??

1. We are seriously short of confidence, really , really, we need shrinks to bring this back, and I think it's been there for a while and once the first game was lost POOF!!! We become Lily-Livered.

2. We have as usual put too much pressure on ourselves by thinking of breaking into the top 4! Yes its achievable, but we need to shut up and divert all the attention from this. Like I mentioned, Villa are a very organised team, but do you hear any noise from them?

3. Too many new players, also under immense pressure to perform!! Compare the Chelsea game to this one and its always the easier games (in quote) that we succumb to this Pressure.

4. NO team leader! Ledley King on the pitch is different from Dawson, We require a total solution to that problem fast and real fast, because I see no one motivating the lot. Its like they all have their heads down from the start of each game. Hutton should come back soon so that Dawson plays from the bench. Corluka was poor yesterday too, but I wont judge him from one match. Ideal back: Hutton/Gunter-Woodgate-King/Corluka-Bale, I wonder actually, why didnt they play Gunter as right back and put Corluka in the middle with Woodgate and Bale?

5. Huddlestone to me is the LAZIEST player in our team! He's technically gifted and has a good right foot, but he's damn too lazy! Luka Modric is also too lightweight, so with big physical teams like Villa , you are bound to struggle. Aaron Lennon was by far the best player last night (after a season of criticism), Gomes saved us a 3 point blank times in the first half, his horror show is an overall reflection of the ailment in our squad. No confidence!

6. VERDICT: Actually , the fact that we are rock bottom may serve as good tonic, am not saying we are going to win anything, but we definitely will not be staying at the bottom for too long, we have a completely NEW team. Too many faces! Can u imagine that none of the players that scored for us (4-4) on our 125th anniversary against Villa last season are not with us anymore (Berbatov, Chimbonda, Keane, Kaboul), this is a reflection of our overall naivety of our squad, we need time to gel & play like a team for once without sinking our heads in sand!
I total agree with you dido. and my dream came to pass.

International round-up

Gareth Bale was named Man of the Match and Chris Gunter provided the crucial assist as Wales opened their World Cup qualifying campaign with a 1-0 victory over Azerbaijan in Cardiff.

There was a stubborn resistance from Berti Vogts side at the Millennium Stadium, with the main thrusts of Welsh attacking intent coming from the full-backs - Gunter and Bale, the most enterprising players on the pitch.

The breakthrough came eight minutes from time when, in a goalmouth scramble, Gunter managed to squeeze the ball through to Sam Vokes in front of goal, leaving the striker to apply a decisive finish.

Luka Modric was on target for Croatia in a 3-0 victory over Kazakhstan, with Vedran Corluka also in the side. Next up for Croatia is England in Zagreb on Wednesday - Fabio Capello's side recording a 2-0 win against Andorra in Barcelona, where Jermaine Jenas and David Bentley did not feature
HealthRe: How Do I Calculate My Safe Period? by xsay(m): 12:49pm On Sep 08, 2008
For you as a woman to know your "Safe" and "Unsafe" period you must first off all know your ovulation time base on the length of your menstrual cycle. By simple mathematic, Minus 14 from the total number of days of your menstrual cycle.

UNSAFE PERIOD: It was observed through research that beside the very day your ovulation take place, ther are certain number of days about that time of the ovulation that can still produce prenancy if sexual intercourse take place. the day before ovulation day appear most likely to be unsafe than the days after ovulation.

YOUR UNSAFE DAYS:

Women could be pregnant from intercourse beginning from two days before her ovulation day in addition to the actual day of ovulation. As a preemptive protective measure two days ovulation are also considered "Unsafe"

Although some recent unclear reports give more number of days. In summary, a woman has a chance of becoming prenant approximately with 5 days of her monthly cycle. The days include 2 days before ovulation, 2days after ovulation and ovulation days.
Now you know your safe and unsafe period, but there is still one major challenge, which is discipline and commitiment of keeping your eye on the calender. The discipline aspect has to do with the willingness of the woman to abstain from Sex for one week each month according to the woman's menstrual calendar. In order to avoid confusion, it is advisable for her to circle or mark on a calender the days she is not to have sex without protecting herself.
