Politics / Re: Peter Obi Donates N1Million To Support The Renovation Of Primary School by XueRengui: 8:20pm On Apr 22, 2016
GLeesMODEL:
Assistance should go to those in need - Obi
The former Governor of Anambra State,  Mr. Peter Obi has encouraged the wealthy to deploy their wealth in serving God through serving humanity. Obi said this yesterday while presenting a cheque of 1 Million Naira to Progressive Primary School, Awba-Ofemili.
Obi who said he was moved to visit the school after Rev. Fr. Coleman Onuegbu, who was in charge of the school told him about the condition of the school during the chrisms mass, said that he would continue to  reach out to his friends and institutions, as well as deny himself unnecessary luxuries  to raise/ save money to assist such people in dire need.
Speaking during the visit, the Headmaster of the school, Mr. John Ozuah prayed to God to continue to bless the former Governor for his exemplary leadership yet to be equaled and for his heartedness in continuing  the contribution to the progress of Anambra State even as a private person.
The  Headmaster who  said that the  3 renovated classrooms in the school were done by Mr. Peter Obi when he was the Governor, thanked him for rehabilitating the 4th and last one even when he was out of office. He equally recalled that the Community Secondary School in the town was completely rehabilitated by Obi when he was the Governor.
Speaking, the Manager of the school, Rev. Fr. Coleman Onuegbu thanked former Governor Obi for always remembering and assisting the poor. The Rev. Fr. who took him to the town's source of drinking water - collection of flood water at the estuarine- appealed to him to rally round his friends and assist the town further
Politics / Re: Why NASS Is Loosing Public Support by XueRengui: 6:36am On Apr 22, 2016
tuale4u:
Seperation of power does not mean destroying policy of the executive that will benefit Nigerians.
Seperation of powers is not using 35million naira to buy one SUV despite bad economy situation of the country. Insensitivity to the people is not seperation of power.
Seperation of power is not removal of Calabar lagos rail from the Budget despite knowing the economic importance of d project all in d name of myopic politics.
Seperation of power is not maliciously cutting money for major national development project like 2nd Niger Bridge, lagos Ibadan expressway etc for no just cause.
Seperation of power is not diverting money meant for developmental project that will benefit d nation to constituency project that they will steal.
Seperation of power is not rushing the amendmend of CCT act in one week when PIB which has been with them for over a year has not pass a single reading.
Sabotage is not seperation of power. What Saraki NASS is doing currrently is Sabotage and not checkmating d executive.
Majority of Nigerians are against NASS. There is no leader/institution in d world no matter how bad or evil that 100% of the country will be against. Once majority of the people is against an institution, that means dat institution have lost support of that country.
The only people supporting NASS currently are IPOB tout and some PDP fanatics. And they are minority. And they supporting NASS for political reasons and not for National development and growth. Mostly due to bitterness and hatred due to election loss hangover.
Majority of Nigerians are Pro Buhari, Pro APC and anti Saraki, anti NASS as at today. We support Buhari even in hard times like this because we know where we are coming from. And we know why thinks are hard. And we believe 2moro will be better than today after today's sacrifice and pain low oil price has placed on us
Most Nigerians are anti NASS for many reasons. Budget distortions, 36 SUV and Saraki are top reasons why Most Nigerians are against NASS. If majority of Nigerians are against NASS, it means Nigeria public is against NASS. Thus NASS is loosing public support.
IPOB taut and PDP fanatics are deluded. If you think Majority of Nigerians are supporting PDP today because of current temporary difficulties that will be overcome with time, then you are sitting on a long thing!
Majority of Nigerians are not silly. We are all aware of the impact of Oil price in Nigeria economy. Majority of Nigerians knows the cause and source of current hardship is oil price.
What Majority of Nigerians are praying for is for God to give d current govt the wisdom, foresight, energy and zeal to overcome d challenge of low oil price. So dat Nigeria can stand firm irrespective of low oil price.
In our complain and fustration we hope and pray for better days ahead.
As at today, Majority of Nigerians are with Buhari and APC. And Majority of Nigerians are against NASS for using Saraki trial to create problem for the President and Budget 2016.
All d noisd over 2016 Budget by NASS would have been opportunity for them to gain public support. But at the end they lost it because they never had good intention. The whole noise was to protect thiet crook saraki so that Federal govt will soft pedal on saraki trial.
At the end, NASS made the Budget worse insread of improving it. They introduce more corruption and padding instead of reducing it. That shows they never had public interest or National interest for all d noise they made about the Budget.
All they wanted was for Buhari to share ghana must go with Money like PDP era and for FG to allow criminal Saraki go free. But they failed.
Those IPOB taut and PDP fanatics defending NASS with d slogan "Seperation of Power" should go and hug transformer. The aim of seperation of power was for good governance not criminality, wastage of resources, and myopic politics.
What NASS is currently doing is abuse of power, abuse of public trust and abuse of Godwill of the Majority of Nigerians.
so long a poem undecided

DAT'S OLD SCHOOL THINKING. SACKTHESENATE. We do not need them. If they can buy 108 cars for 36 million naira each while they r homeless people in the North and children dying of hunger in Lagos then they r worthless to us. They need to go
and the lower house is made up of saints
Besides, the reps are also towing same line.

May i have your attention please.
Nigeria runs what we call a "bicameral legislator"
In other words, the job of one legislative arm is handled by two.
The reason is very simple.
The Senate reflects Equality of states
36 states produce 3 senators, FCT produces 1.
(36*3)+1=109senators with equal power
The House of Reps reflects the equality of every citizen.
In this case, every state is given rep mrmbers based on their actual population. Lagos has one of the highest number of honourables (24), same as kano (24), then bayelsa and nasarawa are the least with 5 seats each before FCT (2 seats). But the total number of honourables is 360.
The senate was created because most states felt cheated based on the population thingy, so we decided to make all states have the equality in the senate.
I hope you understand?

Politics / Rotimi Amaechi's Week In Port Harcourt by Pius Adesanmi by XueRengui: 10:38pm On Mar 20, 2016
Rotimi Amaechi's Week in Port Harcourt
By Pius Adesanmi.
That Rotimi Amaechi is an irresponsible Federal Minister is the least of our worries. Our main worry is that he is still on the job - uncautioned, unquestioned, unsanctioned by his employer.
Why irresponsibility?
Come with me.
I am three months into administrative apprenticeship as head of an academic unit in a University. I've never been in Admin so it's a learning process and I am enjoying every bit of it. You can therefore pardon my naivete when the time came to leave my seat and be absent for a week.
Nigeria happened to me in terms of what I thought the procedures of absence would be.
I called my predecessor and asked him if he didn't mind being Acting Director during my absence and he graciously agreed. I thought that was it.
Poor me!
I was soon thrown into a daunting administrative architecture of disengagement. Two Deans must be notified of my absence; the principal admin staff of the two Deans must be notified; a certain number of people in offices I have never heard about must be notified; the financial office must be notified.
These are all arteries of the administrative system that must be aware of who has signatory authority for the unit in my absence. Oyinbo's work must neither stop nor suffer in your absence.
Throughout the week, the web of required notifications kept expanding. When I finally heaved a sigh of relief and thought it was all over, I received a memo from yet another office asking if I wanted to transfer electronic signature authority to the Acting Director.
Apparently, all I had done during the week did not cover electronic signatures as I could very well decided to hold on to e-authority and sign things electronically during my absence.
Knowing that there is no light, no water, no nothing where I am heading to and my access to the internet could depend on the strength of prayer warriors yonder, I respected myself by also transferring electronic authority to the Acting Director.
One week of painstaking procedures to transfer authority of just one unit in a University just because one society evolved a culture of hatred for impunity and lawlessness - a reality which makes the Institution bigger than the person.
As I went through this handing over process, my blood pressure increased and my health deteriorated. I grumbled to Bamidele Ademola-Olateju, Moses Ochonu, Rudolf Ogoo Okonkwo, and Omoyele Sowore.
I told them that I am tired of Nigeria. Here am I being told that the life and work of one academic and administrative unit in a University is incompatible with the ethos of Oga is not on seat. You cannot just take off and...
