Hi Justwise, my application for a one week Business Visa to the UK for rejected on grounds I felt were not tenable. The ECO quoted Tier 4 Sponsor License and UKBA approved accreditation provider. He also stated that I must be an overseas employee of the company conducting the training, before they can grant such visa. His final submission was that I didnt fulfill paragraph 46G of the HC395. I have read the applicable immigration rules and I believe I qualify and that I have fulfilled all requirements. What do you advise I do as d training is close as it is in d first week of June. Cheers.

Hi Justwise and co, u guys are doing a yo man's job here, uve affected and helped so many people. Please I need clarification on the quote below from the UK border agency site, does it mean applicants now need to write an English Test?

On 31 March the UK Government issued a ‘statement of intent’ setting out how Tier 4 of the points-based system will operate following the changes to the student visa policy. From 21 April the changes to the English language requirement will come into effect.

The following English language requirements apply to students whose Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies (CAS) is dated from 21 April 2011 onwards:

* If you are applying for a Tier4 (General) visa to study a course below degree level (at NQF level 3-5), including English as a foreign language, foundation or pre-sessional courses, you will require a Secure English Language Test at B1 level on the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR).
* If you are applying to study at degree level and above you require a minimum English language level at B2 on the CEFR. If your sponsor is a Higher Education Institution (HEI), the sponsor may choose its own method of assessing your English language ability. However, if your sponsor is another type of institution you will require a Secure English Language Test to prove your B2 language ability. HEI’s are typically universities and other publicly funded further education colleges. Where HEI sponsors consider a student to be gifted, the English language requirement may be waived for that student.

Further changes to Tier 4 (General) will come into effect in summer 2011 and in April 2012.

Hi Justwise, thanks for your reply. I was refused based on insufficient maintainance fee last year. I was pressed for time as I was late for resumption and so my funds were not in my account for the 28 days before I printed my Accounts Statement and applied for the visa. The University is rated Highly Trusted.
I don't think using an Agent means u aint ready to study in the UK. I for one am obviously 'over-ready' but I'm asking because I need to know if this could increase the rate of success significantly.

Hi everyone, Ive been followed this thread for close to a year now and I learnt a lot here as regards my application last year though my visa was denied then. I am planning to re-apply this year(As I deferred the admission then after paying part of d tuition fees) but I have a couple of grey areas that I'll need clarifications on please;
1. Will the refusal on my passport not affect my application this year
2. What are the real implications and difference of the new Tier 4 migrant guidelines as against what existed before
3. When is the best time for me to start applying and,
4. Do i stand a far better chance if I go through an Agency and which is the most recommended on this forum.
