Dynamitehimself:I can't remember being asked any questions at departure. At arrival, the immigration officer only asked my purpose of visit, looked at the passport and asked for my course of study. I answered and she stamped my passport, that was it. I actually forgot to hold a copy of my CAS and I saw a lot of Chinese students with their own printouts. This made me a bit apprehensive that I will be asked and I might be delayed as I'll have to retrieve it from my laptop, but I wasnt even asked for it. |
Furus:Okay thanks. I'm registering on their site now. Do I collect cash from them or they will credit my UK account. I am asking because I m yet to re-activate my RBS Account which I last used over 4 years ago. |
Who has information about this Afrotrade people. Are they genuine and how does the process work? Urgently, need to get pounds now. |
fizzile:Left Nigeria on the morning of the 4th of September using Etihad airline. Major snag was that I intended to buy PTA using Travelex at the airport. Plan was to do an online transfer but realized they only collect cash. Tried to withdraw some cash from the ATMs at the airport but none was working. I had to send someone out of the airport to help with the withdrawal but had to call the person to come back when I was about to miss my flight. So summarized story, couldn't exchange enough money and therefore short on spending money until I fix a way to transfer my money in. Had a stopover at Abu Dhabi and arrived Edinburgh at about 7.40am of September 5. Had to use a cab to get to the school as there was no Student union pickups and I had 3 Bags so using a bus would have been hectic as I'll have had to use 2 connections. Before I forget, withdrew 10 pounds at an airport ATM, exchange rate was 593 Naira to the pounds plus an extra N252 charge Anyway, got to the school, went to the main reception. Got my accommodation sorted. Had a quick bath and took a needed nap. |
I wish all those that are waiting for their results good tidings. I just arrived at the school today and already settling in. Is anyone coming to Heriot Watt university or any school in Edinburgh. |
Use P-Guard, it works like magic and it sort of also protects them from other ticks within the environment after it has been applied on their skin. |
Samswags9:I've had dogs for years and never had an incident of ticks until my gateman walked my dog for a week whilst I was away. He apparently walked him through an area that must have been passed by an infested dog and voila my dog picked it up. Fortunately, I was able to manage it with the spray I got from my vet within 24 hours. So take it that tick infection has nothing to do with not taking care of your dog. |
There was a spray I used when I once observed ticks on my dog. The name ends with Guard. It is extremely effective, worked like magic for me. I'll check the name for you later this evening. |
I used priority and got it in 7 days elope: |
Wasnt 100% sure though, but had to hedge my risk by taking that risk when I saw the way prices were going up. fizzile: |

The waiting is finally over. I got my visa today. Thanks to everyone who offered advice(s) to me. I really appreciate u guys. I pray for good news for all those still waiting for theirs. |
Is anyone resuming at Heriot Watt University in Edinburgh this September? |
The interview was pretty straightforward. Questions were on my educational background, reasons for choice of the school, reasons for studying the course and my plans after the studies? fizzile: |
Wow, fingers crossed..I pray it doesn't affect my application cos I don't know why she removed it. umarwy: |
Hello guys, I made my application and had my interview on Friday. Fingers crossed and waiting for a favourable decision. However, I had an observation. The lady that checked in my documents returned the OANDA printout saying it wasn't necessary. I was surprised though but is this same with everyone that has applied too? |
Can anyone that has recently paid the visa application fee share which bank they used and which visa location they used? I have been trying all day to no avail. Yababoy: |
yomiselmer:Thanks I was at the bank, in short I am in the same building with them and they said that I am not even close to my daily limit. |
Hello everyone, this is an SOS! I have been trying to make my visa application using my Ecobank mastercard all day and it has been failing. Funny thing is that I have used the same card to make the IHS surcharge earlier today and it was successful. Is anyone else having the same issues or has someone else had it. I am frantic as my appointment has been cancelled twice already. |
worry359:Thanks for the comment. Sounds logical but might mean that some people will have to add more money and start counting all over again. Something tells me to UKBA must have factored in something to avoid this volatility for applicants. Advise needed. |
quote author=DaveHert post=47702802] It will likely be at when you are applying, that's the logical way.[/quote]I agree it's logical but with the volatility of the FX rates these days how have guys been coping. @Justwise OlowoB |
Hi peeps, please I need some clarifications from experienced gurus here and those that have recently applied for their visas. I have deposited my maintenance fees in my account and I'm close to the stipulated 28 days now..however I'm a bit confused as the exchange rate had gone up from when I started counting the 28 days. My simple question is which exchange rate will be used by the UKBA. Will it be as at when I started counting or the rate as at when I'll be applying. |

Hello Guys, it's been long I went through the UK Visa processes and I need some help please. I am going for a PG program in September 2016. I have already paid my tuition fees in full, secured my hostel accommodation (by experience, more comfortable due to proximity to school) and gotten my CAS letter. However, I remember that I also need to have a TB Test done. Can I be guided as to where this is being done? Can anyone that has gone for it advise me on how long it takes for this test to be out as I want to apply for the visa very early enough. Also on the IHS, will this be paid with the visa application fees or separately? |
How much is she going for and where are u? Can u also add clearer pictures? Thanks |

Can anyone please recommend a very good and trusted dog trainer around Yaba, Surulere or Ikeja? |
Baroba:1000 likes for this comment. Pretty amazing that some of the judges on dogs on this forum can't even produce quality dogs that can compare to those they critique. God help us all. |
