No vex o, How would she have replied? Beat her mother back? Let your friend tell you the full story. There is also no law of the land which states that an unmarried lady must be in her parents house. Above all, dialogue resolves most issues. Both of them should try to communicate with their mother. |
The same apartment in the same house is still managable. The guy will however do good to part with something as rent(even if it is not at an economic rate) esp if the apartments in the house are not enough to go round all siblings. He should also be man enough to draw the line with his folks so as to protect his wife. That way, he will avoid some insults. It should also be a temporary arrangement. In the same apartment is a NO NO. Who owns the pot of soup- mummy or wifey? Who determines what he eats-Mummy or wifey? What happens when wifey wants to sleep and mummy wants to clean the house? The complications of this arrangement is best avoided. |
Real men don't beat their wives; the foolish & insecure ones who have a complex do. I guess wife-bashing helps them feel like 'men' who are in 'control'. Probe well and more often than not, you will find the guy has frustrations he can't handle. There are a thousand and one civil ways to deal with all manner of provocation from wives. Silence remains the most effective. Women hate being ignored. It's rather unfortunate that most nigerian women who are victims of bashing, never walk away from such violence- you begin to hear such crap as -'I cant leave my children'(like they wont be left behind if she is killed); 'It was a mistake' (a mistake that occurs repeatedly); 'He loves me' ( and surely expresses it well). |
lisalima:What sort of question is that? Why didnt you seek advise before you cheated? I pressume it is your poor husband that is the great guy which makes you feel "really bad". Was it after cheating (your basis of comparism) you realised he was great? Babe, let the truth be told, you no do well at all. |
Quarelling is in order if handled well. They are 2 different people with different ideas and opinions. I witnessed their quarell once and it was so scary that I picked the phone and called my mum's uncle. I was about 7 years old then. I told him my dad was about to kill my mum. The uncle came with a retinue of family members. My parents were thoroughly embarrassed! If they are careless enough however to engage in a bitter quarell in my presence now, I'll get my camcorder and record. When they are sober, I'll have them watch it and threaten to show their grandchildren ![]() |
Being a 'housewife' doesn't make you an idle, laid-back incomeless person. It actually makes you more of a real woman and it also does not mean you have to be 100% dependent on dear hubby! There are 1001 things that can be done from home. Every human being has skills that can be developed. You are there for your kids in the most important years of their lives. You determine your work hours. Sitting down waiting for manna from dear hubby (becos he is wealthy) is simply being lazy! I am a proud, comfortable and intellectually sound housewife. I do confectionary supply, I do catering rentals, I sell clothes. I'm currently working on establishing a snail farm and home bakery. I have my BSc in Accounting and an MBA. I'm a Chartered Accountant and have a paper to go in becoming a Certified Internal Auditor. I keep abreast with developments in my academic calling and if the need arises, I will dust my certificates and hit the roads!!!! I took the decision to leave paid employment when I realised my kids were imbibing the values of their nanny and not turning out the way I wanted. Of what use is all the money one makes if your kids turn out horrible? I admit it was a tough decision but today, the whole family is the better for it including dear hubby. No more frozen meals everyday . I'm fufilled. No regrets. The sky is the limit for housewives, depending on individual desires! ![]() |
Pls post pictures of the fuel dispensers. |
I went to Classy frozen foods located at 44 Akowonjo Road this morning to get cartons of frozen products for some of my customers. I got home to find out the whole carton of gizzard was rotten!! It didnt smell when I purchased becos it was seriously frozen. I immediately took it back to Classy and all the grey haired insensitive and totally uncultured manager could say was that he would change it only becos he did not want to upset me I asked him if he did not see it was bad. His response: 'to you it may be bad, to us there is nothing wrong with it'. He asked one of his boys to weigh it for completeness and take it back to the cold room. I am still in shock!!! That thing will probably be sold to another person. All the cartons of chicken had sand particles on them. I complained and all I was told was to be more concerned with the contents of the carton and not how the carton looks! Scores of market women and caterers patronise this place which has been in operation for over 10 years. My advice: Touch and smell any frozen foods you buy. The fact that it is frozen does not mean it is fit for comsumption. When in doubt, err on the side of caution, dont buy! Dont make my kind of expensive mistake, open the carton and check. If the seller refuses, DONT BUY!!!! |
