I wish I was making this up.

After months of crying, deleting pictures, blocking and unblocking him (don’t judge me 😭), I finally got posted for NYSC. I told myself this was my fresh start. New people. New environment. New memories.

Imagine my shock when I got to camp, looked up during registration… and there he was.

Same camp.

Same platoon.

Same annoying smile like he didn’t break my heart a few months earlier.

The worst part? There was absolutely no way to avoid him. Morning drills. Parade. Meals. CDS registration. Even the queue for food somehow kept bringing us together.

Now here’s where it gets messy…

He kept acting like he wanted another chance.
