A 26-year-old lady has written to relationship expert, Joro on how she got involved in the trade of sleeping with dogs for money.

The house of the Acting chairman of the Economic and financial crimes commission (EFCC), Mr. Ibrahim Magu, was last night invaded by unknown gunmen.

The Nation reported that the unknown gunmen invaded the farmhouse at about 10pm in Abuja. In the process of shooting back at the gunmen, a police officer was shot and died at the spot.



This is the second time that the same the house will be attacked by unknown elements.

The last 10 months had been tough for Magu because of his refusal to bow to pressure from some high-profile suspects and Politically Exposed Persons (PEPs).

Following threats, security was beefed up for Magu and his immediate family leading to the deployment of policemen to the uncompleted bungalow in Karshi.

Some suspected elements had also been prowling the family’s house in the Borno State capital and issuing threats.

NO fewer than 32 operatives of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad, SARS, are currently in detention, TheCable has reported.

A source told TheCable that the arrested officers were moved to Abuja from different state commands during the weekend.

“The suspects, who are all male, are now being held at various detention cells of the Federal SARS at Guzape District, Abuja,” the source said.

“Since their arrival in Abuja, their family members and lawyers have not been allowed to see them based on an order from above,” it added.

The Inspector-General of Police, Ibrahim Idris, who reportedly ordered their arrests, is said to have assembled a team of top Police investigators to look into their cases.

TheCable learned that they are being investigated for cases ranging from extortion, robbery, rape, among others. The commands where the suspects were serving have been directed to report to Abuja with proofs and exhibit needed in the course of investigation.

The source said Lagos Command has the highest number of suspects, next to the Federal Capital Territory, FCT.

“Their immediate orderly room trial and punitive measures will also become part of the ongoing moves to stem the tide of alleged impunity being campaigned against the Police institution,” the source said.

“At a recent meeting with the Police management team, the IG decided to apply prompt punishment for any SARS officer found wanting here in Abuja instead of their commands, where such cases are not properly handled.”

Miss Rita Odilinye, an active teacher at Starlight Secondary School, Ogidi in Idemili North local government area was reportedly murdered by the mother and relation of a certain school girl she allegedly flogged at school for not carrying out her class duty.

A witness in the school narrated that the teacher came to the school only to discover that her class was not swept and when she asked the students in the class why the class was not swept, she was informed that it was the turn of one Chinaza Okafor to sweep the class.
The source said: “The students told her that Chinaza, who was supposed to sweep the class before going home the previous day after school dismissal as they used to do, did not sweep it.

” And when queried by the teacher, she proved stubborn in her response which angered the teacher and she flogged her.
“As she was being flogged, she ran out of the class and scaled the school fence since the gate was locked. She made straight to their house where she reported to her mother that she was flogged by her teacher for not sweeping the classroom.

“Furiously, the mother came to the school armed with sticks, accompanied by her daughter and one other person to revenge the flogging meted out to her daughter.
“On arriving at the school, the mother could not see the teacher as she was said to have gone out to attend a meeting of private school administrators.
“Efforts made by other teachers in the school to calm down the aggrieved persons and allow the school authorities to handle the case fell on deaf ears.”

*What makes this year different from previous years for you?

The year has been a very good one for me. I have been going from one production to another. As you can see, I am on a movie set as we speak. Once this project is completed, I will travel out of the country. Also, I have not recorded any negative incident this year and I thank God for that.

*How do you manage to remain active despite your age?

It is perhaps the grace of God, the will to achieve anf the will to continue to prosper in my chosen career. I am in love with my profession and I am always determined to face new challenges. However, I thank God that I am full of experience in my profession and life in general. But the truth is that you must continue to learn and there are certain things where you are still a complete novice.

*How come your daughter, Bidemi, is always in the news for the wrong reasons?

All the people blackmailing my daughter are bastards. If truly she did whatever they’ve said she did (dating a married man), whether she likes it or not, she will be punished. But if they are telling lies and trying to destroy her image, the people involved will not go unpunished.
If you know Bidemi well, she is highly disciplined and she has her own way of doing things. Unlike her sister, Sola, Bidemi is outspoken and principled. I don’t think it is an offence to be principled. So, if she doesn’t take nonsense, so be it.
Everyone cannot be like me. Though it is good to be humble, I can tell you that being humble also attracts unnecessary insults. Since some people don’t like being insulted, they keep to themselves. But people like to attribute it to many things. If you decide to blackmail people unnecessarily, then, you must check yourself. It means something is wrong with you, and there is a problem between you and God.

*So you are certain your daughter didn’t have an affair with Bose Alao’s husband?

When I heard the news, the first thing I did was to call her to know what went wrong. I know if she had done that, she would not tell me she did it, but I know my daughter. Apart from seeing her grow, even as an adult, I am very close to my children and I know what they do every minute. If you ask me where Bidemi is as I speak with you, I will tell you. I don’t joke with my female children especially. Their lifestyle is important to me.

For people who are always blackmailing our actresses, they should turn a new leaf. This is part of the disadvantages of the social media, as everyone wants to talk. A friend once told me that some people are mentally disturbed or sick. Since no one checks what they say, they say whatever they like and get away with it.

I am not saying our actresses are completely innocent. We actually have people with funny characters, but the majority of them do not engage in the things they are accused of.

*Are you closer to your daughters than your sons?

The female children have challenges mostly. If anyone goes after a lady and she shuns his advances, he may go to social media to insult her.
I always advise journalists to stay away from false stories because the more you get into them, the more trouble you find for yourself. We’ve forgotten some journalists today even though they are still alive. Instead of them to practise the profession diligently, they were busy blackmailing people.
Have you ever been blackmailed?
That is not news anymore. I have been blackmailed many times, but I sailed through. They have called me a ‘ritualist’ before, which means I am a murderer.

According to the Argentina media who Reported that the main body of the statue was on Monday found lying on the pavement with no hands.

Messi has achieved so much for Argentina. You will recall his recently scored hat-trick against Ecuador saved Argentina 2018 World Cup Place.

Ahead of CAF Confederations Cup and the 2017/2018 Nigeria Professional Football League season, Ikechukwu Ezenwa has assured Enyimba that there are no worries for the goalkeeping department.

Though Enyimba made history as the first and only club to win the CAF Champions League in 2003 and 2004 however, no Nigerian club has landed the Confederation Cup yet.

FORMER Deputy Speaker of Rivers State House of Assembly, Mr Leyii Kwanee, has accused Governor Nyesom Wike of attempting to politicise the ongoing UNEP clean-up of Ogoniland, even as he challenged the governor to accede the 2019 governorship to the Ogoni if he really cared.

Reacting to Wike’s comment on the issue, Kwanee, in a press briefing, faulted Wike’s narrative, stating that the clean-up is a gradual process and the President Buhari administration should be lauded for kick-starting the activity and encouraged to do more, rather than being criticised.
Wike had claimed that the Federal Government is unserious with the cleanup of Ogoniland, when he met with members of the Senate Committee on Environment in Port Harcourt, recently.
Kwanee noted that Wike, who served as a member of former President Goodluck Jonathan’s cabinet, should have been able to push for the government to implement the clean-up if he had cared enough for Ogoni people and the effects of the pollution they had suffered for years.
He said: “I feel disappointed that Governor Wike would even bring up the issue of the UNEP exercise in Ogoniland, not to talk of criticising the APC government over the process. He had the opportunity of making it happen when he was a Minister under President Jonathan, but he didn’t move a limb.
