You are right, its not even known to many ladies I know and its even scarce in the market/shops. |
Go to shoprite. I saw it last month at their Alausa outlet. Know what? I almost came here to ask the same question over a month ago cos every shop I entered, big or small, they did not have it and in fact it sounded STRANGE to some of them shop attendants! |
Sorry, I don't know what to say, though I wish I knew. But wait, some people who have something sensible to say will soon respond. Ma binu. ![]() |
Crystal Specialist Hospital, crowdy though (but that must be because its good!(not best, but it's good and patients seldom die there ![]() |
My own submission is: 'Finger insertion' is not a regular item on doctor's checklist on a tyhpical antenatal visit, and is not done until a pregnant women is about to deliver and she's being checked for dilation(in many cases the pregnant woman herself would be begging the doctor to come and check now and then I want to disagree with the OP on the '1 hour' insertion duration, that's an exaggeration. U shd even thank God that your wife was pregnant when she was being examined! You need to go to the Gynae Dept of any busy hospital on a typical gynae clinic day and see orisirisi women lined up to see doctors. I assume that 3 out of 5 women will have the need for such insertion and I tell you a woman in desperate need for solution won't think along the line you're doing now. In my own case medical students, both male and female were watching when my womanliness was been examined by a doctor because I had fibroid Like some people have posted, there are far fewer female gynae docs than male, and gynae is majorly a female issue So what can we do? Go to Europe or Saudi Arabia sake of say we no wan make dokitor see our yansh, ? A begi! |
bini girl:Yes oh, I would go to them and humbly do likewise |

agiboma:Thanks Agiboma. What other medications did you refer to in the bolded part of your post above? I'm interested. I'm located in Lagos, Nigeria. DH does not support adoption or I'd have long opted for it. Once again, thank u! GWslim:@Gwslim, Rara o!, I did not take herbal drug once and stopped o! Ive been taking it (albeit different types) for years, I only stopped when I was pregnant and resumed after lactation. The fear of kidney/liver collapse made me stop all the trial and error therapies. Thanks to you too. |
@goksonjay, jennifer, obiionyeka and others that will want to follow same pattern, the OP said "send , to, (see quote). dal.labo: |
Thanks Champs, I catch the baby dust oh. @Igbi, Thanks 2u too. I keep my fingers crossed. |
Na wah o. You people have only been 'viewing' my post without contributing. Where are the doctors (gynaes, surgeons), nurses in the house, nurses, women with similar condition and friends/families of women with same experience? E jor now! ![]() |
I am 46years old. I have huge fibroids that make my tummy look like 6months old pregnancy . I have a child 3yrs ago after repeated miscarriages caused by the presence of the fibroids. Ive lost 2 pregnancies after my baby's arriva . Ive tried several natural/herbal therapies - local and foreign, to no avail . Ive heard cases of women who did surgery and died . My online research revealed that once menopause sets in, fibroid tumors shrink but my findings from older women show that it becomes more problematic around that time, such that women from their mid forties and mid-fifties most times opt for surgery when the symptoms become unbearable, and in most cases such women end up removing the entire uterus so it won't regrow. Yes, REGROW, that's the word I fear most in this case, and that explains why Ive failed to go the surgical line all these years! ![]() Now I'm at crossroads, anyone with useful suggestions shd pls come and let's rub minds. Do you or does someone you know have fibroids? How are you/she/they coping? Can you recommend a good hospital for its surgery? Cost implication? Alternative to surgery? Thanks everyone, as I await your meaningful responses. |
