Properties › Help!!! My Landlord Has Removed The Roof Of My Apartment by yemite100(op): 3:43pm On Feb 23, 2022 |
I made a post about a month ago on Nairaland about my landlord. He gave me a quit notice when my rent is yet to due, we have not been in good terms, I was rest assured that I still have three months left so no need to panic.
I got home now and saw carpenters removing the roof of my apartment with two abled young men which I haven't seen their face before, the roof of my apartment has been removed now.
I went to the nearby station to lodge a complain but I was told the man had come earlier, and told the police has giving me quit notice that he wants to renovate his house.
It's really a hard time for me and my siblings, getting a quick accomodation. He never informed us of renovating the apartment, I just lost my job last week and this is happening to me again.
My life is in a mess right now as I don't know where to start from, this is just a challenge for me and I will stay stronger and fight this battle till the end, probably God is preparing me for a better place ahead.... |

Richy4: So the way they treat gatemen in Nollywood in Nigeria is really true.. I thought that it was just to entertain people...
They should realise that there's dignity in labour... No matter the job.. what about fair hearing... They dismissed u just like that without hearing from u?...
I was not even allowed to talk,. I tried to explain myself but was forced out of the community... |

Trust me Bro, you close to a turn around point. Thank you sir |

Good day Nairalanders,
I work as a security officer in a community, I usually work from 7:00am - 3pm in a secondary school, and also resume night duty by 7pm in a community close to my house The landlord association gave us a warning that we must check all cars coming in and going out of the estate and we have been performing our duties in a polite way.. About 11:35pm last night, we heard the horn of a strange car requesting that we should open the gate, I switch on my touch to check those inside the car, it was three abled young men and lady inside the car, in a polite way I ask them where they are heading to and they mentioned a popular rich man in the community, as usual, I told them to open the booth of there car which they refused to open, I told them to drive back to where they are coming from but before I could know what's happening,. They got down from the car and threathing to deal with us if the gate is not opened...they forced the gate open and drove inside the community,my colleague we're just watching the whole scenario as I drag issues with them... I don't know the report they gave the chairman of the landlords association, they just got to our checkpoint this morning and told me I have been fired without paying me off, I told them I haven't done anything wrong and was just carrying out my duties,I was told never to come close to the area again or else I will be arrested. I left there in annoyance, I was only carrying out my duties but now I have been Sacked for carrying out order... I don't know what this country is turning to again... |

cooooooks: I would think that the bank job could lead to being absorbed into the banking system.
The fuel job could lead to being made manager of the station.
However, with OND/HND, schools hire teachers with that. I don't like teaching job. |

Yabsun: Well, I wish you well in either of your choice. My contribution is that anything you saved up from the job, use it to apply for university degree. HND is a scam to educational system of Nigeria. You would be shocked that your OND is more valuable than the HND you want to pursue in the labour market. Ok |

Bishopsgate: My humble and sincere advice is for you to accept the bank cleaner offer.
As a former banker, I, like many other staff of the different banks I worked in, often assisted the cleaners who comported themselves well, were courteous and serious with their studies.
I remember one cleaner who we assisted and is today a full staff in UBA
Just be humble and don't be ashamed to let those you see as compassionate know your story, situation, life and education goals. God can use any or some of them to assist you get to your desired destination Thank you |

Rickmann: Jesu! As if the 10k monthly isn't bad enough.. 150 naira, for feeding? Which kind suffer be this?
Well, to answer your question, as an OND holder i'd suggest you take the bank cleaning Job for a start. Banks prefer employing OND holders as Tellers and by that, you stand a chance of been absorbed into the system ...should that happen, (level done change be that o ). All you need do is to be of good behaviour and also keep ur eyes and ears wide open for information regarding recruitment in the branch, you may be lucky.
Remember, prayer is key.
Good luck bro. Thank you sir |

Shokoloko: If you decide to become the bank cleaner (until you get something better), once you get there see how you can start to wash cars for the older men and women with cars (they pay better) find out how you can make yourself useful to them. When I was still in the bank there was a woman (cleaner) I loved so much that I engaged her to cook for me during the weekend and apart from what I paid her, she went home with a pot of soup. When I left the country I asked her to start cooking for my parents. She was so good that the manager gifted her N50k one day. One of the cleaner guys was the one that used to drive me to my village every month to visit orphanages. So if you decide to be a cleaner, shine your eyes. Bankers love to wear clothes, introduce several tailors to the bank staff and get a commission on any thing they sew. Don't be too greedy: N200 - N300 per garment is okay Thank you sir |

ugwumichael: Cleaner is more profitable. Except you are planning on enriching yourself by defrauding unsuspecting customers who don't bother looking at your meter while dispensing fuel. But the day them go catch you na that same fuel from your nozzle men go use light you. Thanks lol I haven't even done it before, never work in filling station |

Dear Nairalanders I just finish my OND,but I planned going for my HND but there is no helper that could help because my both parents are late, and it is just me and my other siblings and I just manage to have ND.
I planned to get a job so that I can save up little to start my HND.
I have search for job but could not get any, so i just got this opportunity and I want to seek your advice on which one I should go for
The bank Cleaner is 17k per month and I will spend #200 daily for transport, the petrol attendant is just few kilometer to where we stay and the basic salary is just 10,000,and #150 for feeding daily.
I am just a bit confused on which one I can choose.
Please no insult, I just need advice... Thanks. |
