This morning I decided to create time to hangout with OUR kids because they will be going to grandma's place for the holidays.

So I decided to take them to chicken republic first to get food,my kids loves food.

Then we proceeded to ShopRite mall to pick one or two things.

After then we headed to cartege cinema which has a gameville and we presented our already funded card and have mad fun.


We really enjoyed ourselves.
Zino used her card to pay for all we bought....the beautiful thing is that dem get their own cards.

Residents are currently lamenting over what looks like a surge in armed robbery cases on Lagos streets and roads.

PUNCH Metro reports that amid the recent frequent raids on some streets such as Lawani Street, off Ishaga Road, Surulere, where armed robbers stole cash and properties on the night of July 18, other residents said robbery cases were now extending to roads, including during daytime.

“They robbed the (Surulere) area that week and the week after it,” a resident, Biodun, told one of our correspondents on Wednesday.

 A resident in the Abule Egba area, who gave his name simply as Juwon for fear of reprisal, also narrated how some hoodlums wielding knives robbed him of his phone and subsequently emptied his account the same day.

I was returning from the Afrikan Shrine where I went to attend Seun Kuti’s show last week. But in the morning when we were returning, I alighted from a tricycle when some boys in the area accosted me. They took my Tecno phone. They both had knives. It was around 7am. Before I got to the bank that day, I discovered that N27,000 that was in my account had gone,” Juwon told PUNCH Metro on Wednesday.

In the Akowonjo-Egbeda area of the Alimosho Local government Area, residents said robbers invaded houses in the early hours of July 13 and made away with cash and properties.

A woman who identified herself simply as Mama Sarumi, a trader along Benesther Junction said the hoodlums arrived around 2am and shot indiscriminately.


She said, “They came with one LT Volkswagen bus that had no number plate and when they came down, they started to shoot in the air. I lost my phone to them. They also robbed some of the people like me who sell here in the middle of the night and they collected phones and money from them. They were not even afraid of the police. They were not in a hurry. They just divided themselves into groups and were ‘obtaining’ people.

“Many people ran into Oke, Ajani Akingbogun and Alhaji Idowu Streets. I don’t think the police can match them because they were not afraid at all.”

PUNCH Metro had also reported that in June, a man, who gave his name simply as Omotayo, narrated how hoodlums attacked him in the Mile 12 area around 3pm and robbed him of his money and phone.

The victim said he was going to a market in the Mile 12 area to buy a gadget when some persons suspected to be thugs in the area summoned him.

He said, “That day, I was going to buy a reading lamp. I stopped at the Mile 12 market. Some boys said I should come but I ignored their summon and told them not to call me again.

“After some time, one of them entered the shop with a broken bottle and ordered me to come out of the place. He said he would destroy the things in the shop if I didn’t come outside.

The owner of the shop told me to leave when the guy kept threatening and shouting that he would destroy things.”

He said after his altercation with them, he was stabbed multiple times, adding “They took my phone and other things and left me. I managed to see someone who helped me to call my mother whose number I could recall.”

He was later hospitalised at Helaal Specialist Hospital in the area.

A Twitter user, @Sassy_Ij, who also lamented, said he feared robbery would get worse with the current economy.

“Robberies are skyrocketing on the mainland in Lagos and I fear it’s only going to get worse with the state of the economy. Even house robberies,” the tweep stated.

On July 19, @iam_Godwin2, warned Lagosians to be careful, saying public bus operators are now allegedly conniving with robbers.

“Good morning Lagos people, please be careful out there, public buses are now in the game of robbery with street boys. Be very careful at night in Lagos please,” the tweep said.

On his part, @Toria_Ahkeens said highway robberies were back in Lagos. The tweep said, “Seems highway robberies are back in full force in Lagos. You all that move at night should be extra careful please.”

I lost my job about two months ago , I have been searching for a better job but no luck yet.
One of my cousin who stays at redemption camp called me and said he got a job that we can manage in a big company.
I was so happy when he told me about the job,I stay around Ikoyi Osun State, I had to look for means of getting transport fare down to the place.
To cut the story short, I got reedeem camp and me and my cousin took a bike down to the company, the company is about 20 minutes drive from redeemed camp,on getting there, it was a Chinese company where plastic product were made, they directed us to where we are going to work, there is nothing interview, our own work is to recycle waste bottles and we have to use knife to slize it and bring whatever dirt that is inside the bottle.
They gave us a very big sack bag that we will be putting the bottles, we started working and when I was around 12:30pm the supervisor called us and explain the rules of the job to us, he said we will have to work for 1months and 14 days before salary will be paid to us, and also not all all the money will be paid to us, he said the 14days will be paid whenever we are ready to leave the company , and we have to notify the company so that the money will be paid to us.
He said the big sack is #450 and the small is #350 and that the money will be calculated based of the numbers of sack we are able to fill in a day, I was very shocked, as at 12:30 we haven't even filled the big sack
The supervisor said we have the option of going to the canteen to eat but the money will be deducted from our salary, immediately after he finish discussing with us, we went to the canteen , I and my cousin ordered for 4wraps of Fufu with two meat...
Na so we japa after eating the food...
Thank God I was able to get help back to my town after spending two days with my cousin.

There is this particular woman that we both live together in the same house, she is a single mother of three kids (males), this woman has been very close to me and I tried to assist her with the little I have and I have been supporting her and her kids financially. She has been making life unbearable for me due to her attitude, she is not my wife, we are not dating and she want to take responsibility of everything.whenever I buy foodstuffs at home within the twinkle of an eyes everything will disappear and I wouldn't want to say anything or scold her.
I work one day on and one day off in an hotel, this woman works In a nursery School and the money is not enough for her upkeep.
I decided to help this woman get a job where I work, I got a kitchen job for her so that she can take care of her kids, unknown to me that this woman has been stealing foods from the kitchen and most times she will ask customers for money and always ready to keep the change for herself, it was one of the kitchen women that reported her case the the MD and she was caught red handed, I was expecting the manger to sack her alone but to my greatest surprise the MD ask me to leave because I stood as guarantor for her, I pleaded to him to but insisted I had to leave because when the woman was interrogated she told him she has been bringing the food to my house which I know nothing about.
Last week,her kids spoilt my television set and I had to abandon it at the radionic workshop pending when I will get money to fix it
I feel so bad right now because this woman has just done more harm to my life, my good heart has finish me
This is a sad monent of my life and I don't know when it will take me to get another job in this hard time.
