I dont agree that Faj is for the big boys only, I will rather say Awo is for the big boys who love wahala while Faj is for the gentle boys who dont want wahala.
But to be sincere, Faj is neater than Awo, mind you, I heard that maintanance is going on in Awo.

@all, just make sure you have those necessary documents before the registration starts. Because when you resume, the work load combine with the registration will be too much. So try to enjoy whatever you want to enjoy at home now. Time is coming when you will feel like just leaving the school.

Long time, I use to come here but dont just feel like posting. I saw someone saying Akintola Hostel is for PG. It is not, it is for female undergraduates.
I can see that some of you are rubbishing Awo hall, Awo hall is for Great Student. I lived in Awo in part 1,part 2 and probably in this coming part 3. The hall is filled with humorous and different kind of 'Aro'. There is no any other hall as humorous as Awo hall.

And also in term of 'Iwe'(book) Awo is the best. Even females from Moz and Moremi do come to Awo to read.

What I will just advice is that 'Mo ohun ti o n se o'(know what you are doing).

@dubemkelly, am not condemning Ibos am just making reference to the way some behalf. The Ibos are handworking in particularly. They cannot be left out in term of business.

Concerning the registration,

Well about the registration, the first thing you should know is not to panick and get all the necessary documents before registration starts.

I want to emphasis on this because it affect me during my own registration:make sure that the names on you certicates tally with one another. If it didnt, then quickly go to Court and do your affidavit, it is #500. Then you will need photocopies of all those documents,

@teasers, sorry mr know it all. I wonder if you are ready to learn at all. Well I wish you a smooth academic session in OAU when you resume. You will learn.

Remember the West has said long ago that Nigeria will be unstable comes 2020. Even if Nigeria remain stable they will definately want it unstable because of no other thing but OIL. Any OIL producing country is a very good target of the West. Boko haram tactics are foreign trained and sophisticated. They are not Nigeria trained.

@tariz, when last do you checked you status? Do you check last week when the supplimentary list was released? I just want to establish if the VC list is truely out. Thanks.

@teaser, the infomation at that forum you posted is not always reliable because if you follow that forum closely, you will see that he has announced the release of the Supplimentary list like a week before it was actually released.

My opinion and of what I heard from someone at Faculty of tech. is that the VC list will be released either 2weeks after the supplimentary list or early next year January,

Good morning all, let all yet to be admittted look out for next week or early January for the VC list. And like have said before, I had a room mate who did not give his results to anyone and his name came out with the VC list. So, fast and pray and believe God will do it. Am also waiting for someones name to be released. I gave a lecturer his results.

Guys just let me relate some of what happened to me before I was admitted in 2009 to you. I gave my credentials to someone who is working with the SSS. When the least had been compiled, the names of those that OAU had admitted from the list sent to them was sent back to their office. He checked and found my name on it. That was more than a month before OAU release its supplimentary list. And the man has told me that names from their office usually come out with VC list.

So 2weeks after the supplimentary list was released, I found my name on the eportal. From my experience, I think the VC list will be out the first week of January all things being equal.

To those that have no seen their names, be hopeful and prayerful. Even if it is a day to matriculation, God can do something.

@seeyi, the VC list will/be out 2weeks after the supplimentary list has been released. And this fall into the first week of January.

Short list will be released few days to Matriculation. These consist of the names of those that has been admitted in another school and those that didnt have their O'level result yet.

@Themmie, you should have given your credentials to someone who can help. Having distinction do not usually guarantee you for automatic admission, because there are so many people with distinction out there. Just pray to Allah for the VC and Short List. Because I still believe Allah can make a change.

@all, please am very sorry for not posting since yesterday. A directive was posted that all student should leave the Hall of Residence on or before 16-12-2011, so I have to find somewhere to put all my bags and baggages.

The person that asked me to help him check Faculty of Social Sciences, I did but they asked me to go to the internet.

@Akin1212, I met a staff in the school who explained why some with low marks are admitted and those with higher are not. He said if the person with a little low mark is a candidate of a staff or a lecturer then the person with low mark will be given admission. That is how it works

Guy lets try to face the reality on ground. The first thing is that it is not only those that have long legs that usually find their name on VC list. I have a room mate who is in part 1 and said his name came out with the VC list and he didnt give anyone his results. Though long leg dey there o,but things do change sometime. I went to Faculty of TECH to check for someone today,I was given the whole list but I didnt find the person's name. I met a girl there whose name was not posted online but she found her name on the list.

Secondly, the VC list will come out exactly 2weeks after the release of Supplimentary list, all things being equal. Then followed by short listS which is always few days to Matriculation.

The list for Supplimentary was not pasted in any of the Faculty to best of my knowledge.

@Themmiee21, Amin. What do you mean that the eportal is not opening? What is ur name and which course do you choose?

Thank God that some nairalanders have been admitted now. I pray that those that have not see their name will also rejoice very soon. Infact the man at the Profost office told me the List will be upload batch by batch. There are still more list coming, so those that are yet to be admitted shouldnt worry much.

Some think am a female, am male. A part 3 student of Computer Engineering now. I will like to assist anyone with the registration stuff and with advices. Let us all just calm down. May God assist us all

Have left the Profost office,am now at Faculty of Tech. A lecturer I know there said the List is in the Administator's office. He said he also want to check some names but he cant right now.

Have went round the Faculties, I search for myself and even asked about the Supplimentary List in each Faculty. Starting from Faculty of Technology, Pharmacy, Social Sciences, Law etc. What I was told is that the list will be pasted online but they 'might' also paste it before this week or next week expire, according to a man I met at Department of Political Science. Health Sciences pasted DE, Supplimentary and Predegree.

But right now,anybody that wants me to help him/her check, you can post your name to help you. Though am now in my hostel, but I want to go back to the bank in some minutes time, then I can check altogether. Am sorry I cant post my number because of disturbance,please not that am proud but just for reasons which is clear to me.
