guy, thank you jare. What I notice from some people is that if a school didnt give them admission due to one thing or the other, they will started saying bad things about the school. I also know of a person who said UNILORIN is not a good school. Why? Because he applied 4 times and was not admitted.

I repeat again, if you hit the Merit cutoff mark of OAU and your name didnt come out, then your name na SUEGBE!

Oga, your argument is out of point! If you got the Merit cutoff you will be given admission and if you dont then you will have to run around. As simple as that! Who told you everybody admitted in UI are based on Merit? If you have any grudge because OAU has not given you admission one time or the other, then you dont have to scare others who are ready to face the challenges.

Since those people over there(OAU) are prone to error, why cant they go to the Faculty? You dont need to know anybody before you can resolve that. Those your friends dull that is why.

There are Merit list, Supplimentary List, VC list and Shortfall.The first one which is the Merit List is meant for ANYBODY who hit the cutoff mark.
The Supplimentary list is meant for those that didnt hit the cutoff but maybe with 'leg', high mark, slot etc. VC list are the list through which names of those 'who know who' come out with. I mean 'longest leg'!
Those that didnt come for their admission, or they were screen out, Shortfall will include the names which replace those people. So no dulling!

deltadegre: yemmy i would disagree with you on this because i knw one of my friend in uniben he wrote jamb and post jamb again in 2011 and filled OAU he scored above the cut off for pharmacy but wasn't admitted also last year i mean 2012 jamb a friend of mine also scored above the cut off mark for international studies but when the first list was out she wasn't admitted. all i want to say is admission is more than just to beat the cut off u need God and other assistance if u can get it. though your own admission may be free maybe you were just lucky but that same luck may not apply to another person. come to think of it your state of origin plays a very important role in getting admission into any Nigerian university

Guy, I tell you categorically that it is either those friends of yours are deceiving you, or you are personally deceiving yourself. They hit OAU Merit cutoff and they were not admitted? Oga na lie joor!

One of my room mate(an Architecture Student) hit the Merit point and his name was not shortlisted. He quickly came to the Faculty Office and his name fizzle out with immediate 'alacrity'!. Tell those your friends that they are the one who didnt need the admission. Abi they were waiting for OAU to supply them with admission letter through DHL?

My own name is not from the Merit List. My name came out on the VC list. So get it right. Dont miscontrue it that you didnt need God o. You need God very much. But if God help you hit the Merit cutoff, and you still dey dull, then na you no want admission.

OAU has what is called the Merit list among other lists and the cutoff for the Merit is posted after the postUTME exam. If you manage to hit the Merit cutoff, am telling you that you have been ADMITTED authomatically except if you have a problem with your O'level. Ask anybody about this. If you hit OAU Merit cutoff and you are not admitted, then you are certainly below the Merit cutoff! PERIOD!

Am not scaring you, am just telling you the truth because some students claim they have read wide but yet they cant solve a simple logical JAMB question and they started blaming JAMB and OAU for their low marks. The truth is, if you really study right, your success is assured with prayer.

Salam Alaikum brother, dont be afraid at all. Since you said you are above an average student and you are ready to make a good grade in both your UTME and PostUtme, there is not problem if you choose OAU both as first and second choose. Just make sure you prepare to the fullest because Medicine cutoff is very high. If you have a very good mark particular if you can hit the merit cutoff, OAU will admit you.

But if you are still skeptical about your marks, you can then choose OAU as first then any other school as second choice.

Between Sunday night and Monday somethings is going to be out. My prayer is that it should favour us all because I also have a candidate yet to be admitted. Still monitoring the shortfall list. I was told by a Doc last week that they are yet to meet at the Faculty on the short list. If you know anyone, miracle can still sele.

the vc list is out for real!. have confirmed for two people now and it is positive, only one is negative. and am looking forward to short list which will be out before the matric.

@Abatvic of course am in Ife. That 'Load Picture Number', leave it alone, you will need it later when you get to school. The timetable for your passport photography is posted on the eportal. When your have taken your picture, the picture will be pasted at each Faculty with a serial N0. You will input the number and your picture will be upload.

Awolowo Hall wireless LAN is working without password, I dont know if it will later be password. The server fast die, 700kB per seconds. God!

It is just advisable to pay in Ife in case of any mistake, so that it can be quickly corrected. You can request for bedspace even before you pay any fee.
