Hello nairalanders...

My name is Yeni and am really frustrated and needs a paying job. I feel I have done so much and got so little from it.

Left university since 2012 and finished service year 2014 and I have always dedicated my life to volunteering and give my all to it. From my NYSC period, got a job after but left as it didn’t go down with my passion. For about 3years now, I have been doing my private business of Photography and also volunteering for several NGOs as that’s where my main passion is but this are not bringing so much money for me. My private business only allows me offset simple bills and volunteering is just giving me exposure but no money.

Right now after about 5 years in volunteering, I have several young persons who look up to me in guidance which they find me resourceful and think I have the perfect life financially but my finances isn’t just intact and time is running out as I have so many personal and family bills to run.

Pls I need a job; NGO or just any job that can sustain me pls. I am base in Ikeja, Lagos.

I have a background in medical biochemistry and a highly skilled project manager that have led lot of projects with several NGOs as a volunteer. Pls give me a chance; am really frustrated and depressed kinda... Getting the exposure, capacity but not the finances. Thanks

My email address is yeniajayi@gmail.com

Thank you very much

Hey nairalanders.... Just in a moment need your help....

After several months of looking for a well prefer job that suits my career.... It was just untill this month that I was called by several companies that had interviewed me in the past for employment.. But the first offer that came first was from a pharmaceutical company which offered to pay me about 55k as their medical sales representative and after then they sponsored my trip to their head office which is outside lagos for trainings to allow me have a better product knowledge of my work. The training was quite huge as they spent so well to keep me comfortable in a hotel for about a week with feeding couple with little allowance coming back.. But now after getting back to lagos to start the job, I got an offer of employment from a company(which isnt too related to my field) but are willing to pay 12ok......
Now am at a cross-road thinking which one should I go for? Looking at the reasources the pharmaceutical firm had spent on me and also that I do like the job description of the pharmaceutical firm own as it gives room for me to build myself more.

So what can I do? As both require me to start work immediately by monday

By Da Boomsha – With Love From Sambisa

A Nigerian Soldier stood at the edge of SambisaForest watching as his platoon members slept, wrapped in their army blankets with their boots on.It was a cold night.

December nights in Maiduguriwere cold enough to make polar bears jealous..Itwas colder than a dog’s nose. The soldier huddled closer to the camp fire as hestirred the flames. Shadows crossed his face asmemories flooded his mind. It was christmastime..and he was far from home.

His wife would befrying chicken tonight as his children blew balloonsand stole chinchin from the kitchen..Oh.. How he missed his family! The war on terror seemed endless. The more of theterrorists they killed.. The more they seemed toincrease. He was bone-tired and home-sick. He justwanted to be home.. at least for Christmas. Hescowled as he recalled stories about the diversionof funds meant for military equipment. “May Dasuki rot in the hottest part of hell for his wickedness!” Heswore.. So many of his comrades had fallen incombat under superior fire..

They had been so ill-equipped.. He spat into the fire as he cursed..In another part of Sambisa, a terrorist swappedstories with his colleague..Worried looks on theirfaces..This year hadnt been a good year for them. They had sustained heavy losses and so many ofthem had died. It was hard getting new recruitsdue to the weight of public opinion against them..They had lost moral justification and nowreceived widespread condemnation due to theirincessant bloodletting and abduction of womenand children.

Even some of their sponsors had stopped sendingmoney out of fear of being discovered by the NSA.The bloody cowards! Lily-livered politicians! Butthings were looking up though.. Their alliance withISIS held a promiss of better days.. And if it all wentsouth.. Well.. They would all go out with a big bang (No pun intended) and fly skywards to theirseventy virgins in paradise..

He laughed devilishlyas his comrade cracked a joke about wearing asanta claus costume and dropping off bombs in people’s home wrapped as Christmasgifts for the kids..Bika heard him laughing from the tent andshuddered.. Her husband was as cold hearted asthey came! She hated him with every fibre of herbeing. She had prayed for God to give her abenevolent benefactor.. someone who wouldmake sense out of the nightmare that had become her life.. Since that fateful night when she and 299other girls had been abducted from Chibok..

She had gotten him instead..and her life hadbecome an endless cycle of pain. Forced into sex..Forced into marriage.. And now forced intoMotherhood.. Her life had been ravaged by amalevolent whirlwind called Terror. Its astonishinghow your whole life could change in one moment.. She cradled her baby in her arms and sobbed.. Somuch for Christmas! She wondered if anybody stillremembered.. If anybody would spare a thoughtfor Bika at Christmas.. the girl from Chibok whonever returned from school..

If she could, she would put her tears in a bottle andsend it to the good people of Nigeria..”With lovefrom Sambisa”

But doesn't apply for all@op
Religion / Re: The Real Reasons for Christmas by yeniajayi(f): 6:43pm On Dec 25, 2015
ayokanmi3:
It's that time of year again. December has come and with it all the joys of Christmas. But what is the real meaning of Christmas? Is it the gifts under the tree, the lights in the windows, the cards in the mail, turkey dinners with family and friends, snow in the yard, stockings hanging in the living room, and shouts of "Merry Christmas" to those who pass us in the streets? Is this really Christmas?

Wow...quite an eye opener

For many people, Christmas is a time of sorrow. They don't have the extra money to buy presents for their children, family, and friends. Many are saddened at Christmast ime when they think of their loved ones who will not be able to come home for various reasons. Turkey dinners may be only a wish and not a reality for some.

Yet, Christmas can be a season of great joy. It is a time of God showing His great love for us. It can be a time of healing and renewed strength. You see, Christmas is when we celebrate the birth of the Christ child. God sent His Son, Jesus, into the world to be born. His birth brought great joy to the world. Shepherds, wise men, and angels all shared in the excitement of knowing about this great event. They knew this was no ordinary baby. The prophets had told of His coming hundreds of years before. The star stopped over Bethlehem just to mark the way for those who were looking for this special child.
Luke 2: 4-19 says: "So Joseph also went up from the town of Nazareth in Galilee to Judea, to Bethlehem the town of David, because he belonged to the house and line of David. He went there to register with Mary, who was pledged to be married to him and was expecting a child. While they were there, the time came for the baby to be born, and she gave birth to her firstborn, a son. She wrapped him in cloths and placed him in a manger, because there was no room for them in the inn.
And there were shepherds living out in the fields nearby, keeping watch over their flocks at night. An angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were terrified. But the angel said to them, "Do not be afraid. I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people. Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is Christ the Lord.
This will be a sign to you: You will find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger." Suddenly a great company of the heavenly host appeared with the angel, praising God and saying, "Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace to men on whom his favor rests." When the angels had left them and gone into heaven, the shepherds said to one another, "Let's go to Bethlehem and see this thing that has happened, which the Lord has told us about." So they hurried off and found Mary and Joseph, and the baby, who was lying in the manger. When they had seen him, they spread the word concerning what had been told them about this child, and all who heard it were amazed at what the shepherds said to them. But Mary treasured up all these things and pondered them in her heart."

Why did He come? Why did God send His son to this sometimes cruel and hard world? He sent Jesus to us so that one day, He would grow up to become a very important part of history. His story (history) is one of truth, love, and hope. It brought salvation to all of us. Without Jesus, we would all die in our sins.
Jesus was born so one day the price could be paid for the things we have done that are wrong. The Bible says that all have sinned. We are all born with a sin nature. We do things that do not please God. Through the sins of Adam and Eve, we have all inherited that sin nature. We need to have that removed. The only way is through Jesus. Jesus came so He could die on the cross for ALL of our sins. If we believe that Jesus died for our sins, we can ask Him to come into our hearts and forgive us. Then, we are clean and made whole. We can know that heaven is a place where we can go to when this life is over.
"But if we confess our sins to him, he is faithful and just to forgive us and to cleanse us from every wrong." I John 1:9
We can truly be happy at Christmas! No matter what may be happening, we can know that we are His children. We then become sons and daughters of God. Heaven will be our home one day.
Look at Christmas in a new way this year.

This is the year to invite Jesus into your heart. You will then have a "Merry Christmas." The joy and peace you will receive will last all year as you look to God for all your needs to be met.
Jesus Is The Reason For The Season! Rejoice!
