Juventus Football Club SpA soccer player Carlos Tevez’s adoptive father was freed by kidnappers after being held for eight hours and a $400k ransom was paid, Gustavo Galazzo, a legal adviser for the family, told reporters in Buenos Aires today.
Segundo Tevez was abducted at 5 a.m. in slowpoke, a suburb west of the capital Buenos Aires, Galazzo said. The kidnappers called twice asking the family for money, newspaper Clarin reported, citing police officials it didn’t identify.
Tevez, a 30-year-old striker known as the Apache for the poor neighborhood where he grew up, left the Juventus training camp in Italy to fly home to Buenos Aires earlier today, La Gazzetta dello Sport reported, citing a person it didn’t identify.
“Now we’re going to look for those responsible,” Buenos Aires Province Governor Daniel Scioli said.
Federico Delgado, the prosecutor in charge of the investigation, was not immediately available to take calls, a court clerk said when contacted for comment.
Tevez, who played for Argentina’s national soccer team in the 2006 and 2010 World Cup tournaments after winning an Olympic gold medal in 2004, was champion with Argentine Club Atletico Boca Juniors, Brazil’s Corinthians, Manchester United Plc (MANU) of the Premier League in England and Juventus last season.

Female Palestinian tried to bomb Israeli hospital that treated her free of charge

‘I was instrumental in establishing the "Israeli National Skin Bank", which is the largest in the world. The National Skin Bank stores skin for every day needs as well as for wartime or mass casualty situations.
This skin bank is hosted at the Hadassah Ein Kerem University hospital in Jerusalem where I was the Chairman of plastic surgery.
This is how I was asked to supply skin for an Arab woman from Gaza, who was hospitalized in Soroka Hospital in Beersheva, after her family burned her.
Usually, such atrocities happen among Arab families when the women are suspected of having an affair.
We supplied all the needed Homografts for her treatment. She was successfully treated by my friend and colleague, Prof. Lior Rosenberg and discharged to return to Gaza.
She was invited for regular follow-up visits to the outpatient clinic in Beersheva.
One day she was caught at a border crossing wearing a suicide belt.
She meant to explode herself in the outpatient clinic of the hospital where they saved her life.
It seems that her family promised her that if she did that, they would forgive her.
This is only one example of the war between Jews and Muslims in the Land of Israel. It is not a territorial conflict. This is a civilizational conflict, or rather a war between civilization & barbarism.’

Comment:
As to the veracity of Eldad's story about a burn patient turned suicide bomber, it is indeed an account of an actual incident, except for the small detail of how the aspiring terrorist came by her burns. (She was injured by a gas tank explosion rather than deliberately by her family in retaliation for a suspected affair.)
On 20 June 2005, twenty-one-year-old Wafa Samir Ibrahim al-Biss was detained at a crossing into Israel when something about her gait struck the guards on duty at that post as somewhat amiss. This Palestinian woman was arrested after a search revealed she had been carrying 22 lbs. of explosives strapped to her body. While al-Biss had ostensibly been attempting to enter Israel to attend a follow-up appointment at the Soroka Medical Center in Beersheva, questioning revealed that it had been her intent to detonate the payload she'd been carrying at that institution. During interrogation, Al-Biss reportedly declared: "I wanted to kill 20, 50 Jews. Yes! ...even babies..."
The would-be bomber had been treated there five months previously for severe burns received after a gas canister exploded on a fire while she was cooking at her refugee camp home in the Gaza Strip.
The funny thing is, in 2005, she praised the Israeli doctors who treated her for six months. Her family even sent them a thank you note.
In 2011, when Israel released 1,500 Islamic terrorists in exchange for one soldier captive Gilad Shalit,* Al-Biss was released. When she arrived home, she vowed "to 'sacrifice' her life," and told schoolchildren: "I hope you will walk the same path we took and, God willing, we will see some of you as martyrs." Her mother stood by her decision and glorified her Jihad.
Note:
Israel continues to treat seriously ill ‘Palestinians’ free of charge in Israeli hospitals till this day.

Why can't our Dear (attention sick) governor just stay off the media for once? This is absolute display of sheer ignorance and worst still, his social Media Assistant comes online to publish these insulting pictures when he should be ashamed of the actions of his boss.

The child in this photo is supposed to be preparing for school, or be in school doing something more deserving and not hawking. The governor (with this show of shame) is endorsing child abuse and child labor, buying chips from a child who is hawking on the streets. Only in a society devoid of good governance this kind of child abuse is celebrated. Should we be jumping up celebrating it as good gesture or humanity? what do you expect? A governor who didn't pass through a primary school system will never know who should be in school and who should be hawking.

Terrible, but not really surprising. Powerful people have always used religion to keep people docile. It happened in Europe and still happens in many parts of the world, just take a look at the Middle East today. Africa's case was particularly worse because many Europeans saw us as sub-humans, so they felt no compunction whenever they treated us badly. Well, God dey, one day our turn to catch them go come.

I'm afraid that is not what Islam as about. Islam is a largely hate-driven and violence-promoting ideology. The more I read about Islam, the more convinced I am that it is a really dangerous cult of sex, slavery and death. Please note that I do not hate Muslims (I am not even a 'Christian'), rather I am worried for them; hell! I'm worried for us all.

Mohammed was caravan raider (Read an armed robber), a mass-murderer and a mass slave master. By his own confession, he was possessed by Satan for a whole year, he was afraid of demons, his Qur'an has verses inserted by Satan and he died without knowing whether he was going to heaven or hell. All of these happened while he was supposedly a prophet of Allah! Well, I don't disagree that he was a prophet of Allah, but I am sure he was never a prophet of God, because in my opinion, the Allah of Islam is definitely not the same God of the Bible.
All the bombers and other terrorists murdering innocent people around the world are only following the correct teachings Mohammed and the right interpretations of the Qu'ran and authentic Hadiths. Most Muslims are not violent or hateful, rather they are a peace-loving people like you and I, but their beliefs, if followed properly, have greater potential for violence than any other religion on earth.

Islam is incompatible with equality of humankind, it is inherently intolerant of other religions (except where those other religions submit to it!) Just look around the 'home' of Islam i.e. the Middle East, res ipso facto. All I have stated here are completely verifiable! I sincerely hope more people will carry out their own research about this 'religion' too.
