Politics / Corruption Drops In Nigeria, Says World Bank. Na Tru? by YeWendy1(f): 2:54pm On Oct 25, 2008 |
I find it hard to believe that the corruption in Nigeria has dropped But if it's true, then praise God ooo! This Day (Lagos) 24 October 2008 Posted to the web 24 October 2008 Lagos The World Bank has stated that Nigeria is a startling example of reduced corruption in Africa . The World Bank said in a statement made available to the the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) yesterday in Abuja that the biggest gain by far was registered by Nigeria , whose score had risen by 93 per cent, albeit from a very low base. Nigeria moved up 11 places in the world league table to 121 from 132. The bank said that Nigeria 's performance was against the judgment of all the "reform-minded" agencies, including the OECD, which argued that "low corruption is good for growth and investment, but the regional figures suggest otherwise". "All of which is bad news for reform-minded agencies like the OECD, IMF and World Bank," it said. It particularly commended China's significant aid and investment in African countries including Nigeria. [s]http://allafrica.com/stories/200810240563.html[/s] Your opinion plzzz. Whatchu think |
Family / Re: Ladies - What Kind Of Relationship Do You Have With Your Mom? by YeWendy1(f): 8:48am On Oct 25, 2008 |
EbonyMerma: I totally agree with you there. Of course it's not all mothers that are that way, but a lot of them are. My mum is the "I want to be the perfect mom" type and always trying to make everything perfect, and that really annoys me. And she goes on about how a daughter should be a like her mother and I keep telling her that I don't want to be like her. Well, the whole argument starts. There's no problem picking up the good characters in your mother, but I'm seriously against turning out to be a copy of your mother. Where's your own unique person |

Music/Radio / Re: Styl Plus: What's Wrong With Them? by YeWendy1(f): 12:37pm On Oct 22, 2008 |
Too bad for em, I think their music is still sorta good, in a way, But they need something to spice up. Brotherhood is good, but it shouldn't get in the way of what they do, Music is their lives right? |
Nairaland / General / Re: Why Are Left-handed People Few And So Unique? by YeWendy1(f): 12:20pm On Oct 22, 2008 |
Everyone is unique in their own way, Left-handed people seem to be "special" because they can actually use the left part of their brains, Unlike right-handed people that use only the right part of the brain. But still, It really doesn't make them more special than anyone else. They are just different, and different is good, and everyone is different in their own way. |
