Na tru o! Politicians don't steal money like before. They don't carry Ghana must go again, but, they have re-invented corruption.

Now, they increase their salary every 6 months, got fat security votes, inflated contract or award contracts to their cronies. Things are changing,

So, if they are doing all this, how is corruption dropping then

I find it hard to believe that the corruption in Nigeria has dropped   undecided
But if it's true, then praise God ooo!  cheesy

Lagos

The World Bank has stated that Nigeria is a startling example of reduced corruption in Africa .

The World Bank said in a statement made available to the the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) yesterday in Abuja that the biggest gain by far was registered by Nigeria , whose score had risen by 93 per cent, albeit from a very low base. Nigeria moved up 11 places in the world league table to 121 from 132.

The bank said that Nigeria 's performance was against the judgment of all the "reform-minded" agencies, including the OECD, which argued that "low corruption is good for growth and investment, but the regional figures suggest otherwise".

"All of which is bad news for reform-minded agencies like the OECD, IMF and World Bank," it said. It particularly commended China's significant aid and investment in African countries including Nigeria.

Family / Re: Ladies - What Kind Of Relationship Do You Have With Your Mom? by YeWendy1(f): 8:48am On Oct 25, 2008
EbonyMerma:

I have found that they can also be jealous and envious of their daughters beauty, success and level-headedness.

Sometimes I don't really understand what mothers want from their daughters, especially once we hit adulthood.

I totally agree with you there. Of course it's not all mothers that are that way, but a lot of them are. undecided

My mum is the "I want to be the perfect mom" type and always trying to make everything perfect, and that really annoys me. angry
And she goes on about how a daughter should be a like her mother and I keep telling her that I don't want to be like her. Well, the whole argument starts.
There's no problem picking up the good characters in your mother, but I'm seriously against turning out to be a copy of your mother. Where's your own unique person

How do you expect a father to feel comfortable leaving the child with the mother who can gossip away on the phone and forget she ever had a kid? grin

hehe, true that! cheesy
Fathers just care as much, it's not just the mothers. wink
Just as mothers have their faults, fathers do too. smiley

Before they all woke up one morning, I had given my boy a shower, fed him and dressed him up real good - they three of them (grandmas and wifey) woke up to meet us playing in the living room and their jaws dropped. First thing they did was make sure a diaper was on him and it wasnt leaking!

I just smiled wickedly and whistled as I went into my room. grin

We can do this but we give you the feeling of control - because we love you!

Hahahaha, that was cool. At least, you showed you could do it, that's a real nice story.

Too bad for em,
I think their music is still sorta good, in a way,
But they need something to spice up.
Brotherhood is good, but it shouldn't get in the way of what they do, Music is their lives right?
Nairaland / General / Re: Why Are Left-handed People Few And So Unique? by YeWendy1(f): 12:20pm On Oct 22, 2008
Everyone is unique in their own way,
Left-handed people seem to be "special" because they can actually use the left part of their brains,
Unlike right-handed people that use only the right part of the brain.
But still, It really doesn't make them more special than anyone else.
They are just different, and different is good, and everyone is different in their own way.
