You dont mess with Israel and remain the same. Same the way Nigerian government messed with Nnamdi Kanu and their facing hardship and deaths everywhere.

But Nnamdi Kanu was inciting violence and making hate speeches against other tribes, he caused many policemen to be killed just because they are a face of the government. 2 wrongs don't make a right. The govt hasn't treated him fairly, but he also isn't a saint either.

Politics / Re: Reno Omokri Lists Ten Significant Achievements Of President Bola Tinubu by yewit37486: 10:34am On May 20
PHAYOL81:

That number 7. And that's if you're not being shortchanged by the governments closest to you. In that case it's not Tinubu's faults but the irresponsibility of your immediate governing bodies. So, time you started asking the right questions from the right source.
..............

@CheapHomes1, I understand your feelings and honestly, as much as you're, I and almost everyone having different opinions on #PBAT look forward to a better nation too. But we must also understand the nature and complexities of the state of our nation pre-Tinubu era borne out of decades of mismanagements, corruption and instability in systems of government. We can't just wish the change, we must work and sacrifice towards it. And in addition, you can't expect a whole and hollistic turn around of all sectors at the word “go”, it takes gradual steps. ROME WASN'T BUILT IN A DAY! Only a magician tells you, “make a wish, close your eyes, open...” and you meet the thing right infront of you without making any effort or contribution towards the actualization. In the real world, you dream it and work tirelesly and sweating to achieve it in a specific time.

@yewit37486, Nigeria ain't the God-promised GARDEN OF EDEN before Buhari's tenure. Buhari got into power on the campaign of making the change the country massively yearned for at that time as everything wasn't pleasant. The damage ain't only about BUHARI's administration but about six decades of mismanagement, corruption and instability in systems of government as previously mentioned. Any sane individual can't honestly believe such would go away in a twinkle of an eye.
So, you have it: the Tinubu administration is fixing the rots accumulated over decades and can only do that overtime. Thanks

You mentioned Buhari 3 times, but Buhari isn't the one that made policies that seriously impacted the country in the last 1 year. It's clear you are still avoiding the truth which is that PBAT significantly worsened the state of the country in 1 year. If you can't fix something, at least leave it the way you met it, at the time Buhari left, Nigerians could still afford to eat. I know you don't want to admit the truth, but that's fine because eventually it will stare you in the face to the point of not being able to deny it. Ciao.

Reno shouldn't bother to enlighten them, they're immune to seeing the good things but BITTER news. They'll start asking you if 'na those facts dem go chop?' as if Tinubu claims to be God who produces MANNA from heaven for the feeding of their lazy @ss.

PS:
We know we're still far away from the place we'd love to be, but we can't deny the little change and the relentless efforts of this administration at it. We knew we didn't vote in a magician who conjure a change in a twinkle of an eye, with a wand. But we voted him in because we trust in his prowess to turn things around overtime and gradually. So, we ask you guys on the opposite caucus to have a little patience. All we ask is to give him time.

Unfortunately, in just one year, PBAT has actually changed things for the worse for the whole country in a very short time. Let's be honest in our assessment, this isn't about my vs your politician, govt vs opposition, this is about the country and the current dire state it is. It has NEVER been this bad in Nigeria that common garri that poor people could manage is now out of reach for them. You may be comfortable, but think about the millions of people out there who are not. The earlier PBAT realises the true situation of things on ground, the better he can make the right changes, but that starts with THE TRUTH.

Konquest:

Succinctly stated.

If you know the way the human animal is wired, you will realize that envy and self-interest are the core attributes that propel a vast number of people who are NOT self-aware worldwide. The buttom line is to improve the economic status of the people in any ecosystem and they will align due to self-interest or the question of "what is in it for me?" Period.

And this is the EXACT OPPOSITE Nigerians have experienced in the last one year, yet some people find it so difficult to admit this, they would rather face a presidential candidate who has NOTHING to do with the current economic situation of the country.

Politics / Re: What Is Your Rating Of Tinubu’s Administration In One Year? by yewit37486: 1:59pm On May 19
All I will say is his policies are very unfriendly to the citizens. I have NEVER seen food inflation so high before in Nigeria, never, the actual inflation figure is more like 200%+ and not the headline 33% we see. Imagine prices increasingly doubling in a matter of weeks, very unfortunate. Floating the naira was one of his greatest undoing, it wasn't thought through at all.

Even his fan boys on nairaland know the situation is dire but shame won't let them admit it. They will rather be expending energy calling Obi left right and centre than face the person responsible for Nigeria's current economic situation.

Partly yes.. from experience in a sector where safety is constantly emphasized. Sadly in Nigeria, general safery is not considered a priority even in our day to day lives, an example is the nollywood actor who boarded the boat without a life jacket.

Good response from the Lagos state fire service.

I can bet it's something avoidable that triggered this. How could the spillage have been avoided or contained better? What lessons will be taken from this to prevent a re-occurrence. Safety awareness needs to be better. I remember the day I saw a woman cooking with charcoal and an open fire around this terminal area.

Jennifer Lopez spouses in the past.

You cannot be a married man or woman and still want to have luxury of freedom of single, single mother or father.

Marriage would always be problematic for those who are not ready to stick to the rules.

And this does not even include the men she's been involved with publicly though they didn't get married - P.Diddy, Alex Rodriguez the NFL guy she was engaged to in 2019, etc. The honey pot must be really sweet but alas that cannot keep a man.

Jenny the man eater. She should better take it easy cos this is getting ridiculous.

Let's call it what it is - yahoo is electronic armed robbery. There are real victims at the other end, some of who end up committing suicide. Those balling today from such money have no idea what is waiting for them.

Bro, you have nothing to regret. Be diligent at that 9-5 and you will be amazed how things will turn around.

Prioritize investing in/associating with the M gender and you'll never regret it. They're the ones that genuinely cares and understands reciprocity. My first gift I got ever in my life was a perfume and complimentary card way back in 2006. The last gift I got was a 100k cash gift last year from a friend from undergraduate days. I have also got friends who employed me in their firm when I was out of job. As recently as yesterday, a brother of one my friends sent me a job link that pays £18/hr. For any of these men, I don't think I did a lot or anything at all, I don't even think I deserve any of the things they did for me.

In contrast, I have a female sibling from the other gender who I tied my personal growth down for five years just to make sure she becomes a lawyer. Told she is a lawyer and recently got 500k free cash from her state government. Even ordinary belt, she didn't deem it fit to get me as a token of appreciation.

Don't you think it's about the character of the individuals involved? They are likely just generous people, and generosity is not a function of gender. Similarly, a wicked person is a wicked person whether female or male.

Also, hopefully you are also paying forward all the help you are receiving.

Exousiang01:

Oga
Dangote refinery needs a feedstock of 6m barrels of crude.
Nigeria produces less than 2m barrels.
Remember Buhari took some loans with agreement to pay back with crude and we still need to sell crude so as to get FX, when you make this deductions how much crude do you think will be left for Dangote. Lets say 500k barrels, how many weeks will he wait so Nigeria can get him 6m Barrels of crude.
And he need this feedstock to remain steady, no to have it one month and not have it another.

Are Nigerians saying Dangote should close down his refinery because his country lacks the capacity to supply the raw materials.

Most companies in Nigeria import their raw materials. Most of the juice yoi drink the concentrates are imported, do we not have fruits in Nigeria?

Lets think and talk based on facts not emotions and assumptions

I am not debating any of the points raised, of course logically if his demand can't be met he has to source products elsewhere. My point is people need to speak to others who raise questions without resorting to insults, it's very uncouth.
