I agree with you that she is wrong. She shouldn't have said that. She was also trying to demean us. But you surely know that two wrongs don't make a Right. There is no benefit in abusing or fighting one another. The problems of this country and the nonchalant attitude displayed by our Government is enough for us to think that all we need is Solidarity and Unity among us. Let's reason together, none of us would post something like that if she were to be our sister, assuming our sister posted rubbish like that.

1) The Imam has committed Haram for helping Christians.

Well done to the Baba who really understands Islam as a Religion of Peace. Islam teaches us to show Love and Mercy to other people, whether they are Muslims or Unbelievers. The people perpetrating evils are the ones that are tarnishing the image of Islam. They kill people and cause havoc everywhere in the name of fighting for Islam(Jihad). They don't know that Jihad is about striving for the cause of Almighty God, defending and upholding Islam. They know not that Jihad doesn't operate that way. You don't kill unjustly in Islam. God said in the Qur'an "Whoever kills anyone unjustly, it is as if he has killed the whole of mankind". Some are even non-muslims and they cause problems in the society in the name of Islam so that people won't get their full identity.
It was said in one hadith of Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W): You cannot call yourself a Believer until you wish for yourself, what you wish for others". During his lifetime, he even judged justly between a Muslim and a non-muslim. The more we say and show all these to the ignorant ones everywhere, the more they disagree. They will always disagree because hypocrisy is in their blood despite that they've been shown the truth about it. What pains me most is the fact that they try to discourage people who are ready to embrace Islam and follow the right, true Path. They won't want these people to be free from the bondage of lies and errors in other religion and in their book.
My advice to the Muslims nationwide is this. We should not stop showing love to our neighbours and others as we are being taught in Islam(The True Religion). Following the teachings in Islam is enough for us to be successful here and in the hereafter... Salaam Alaekum!

God didn't say we should not watch sports or or play. The solawaat don't prevent us from watching World Cup. Each one only takes maximum of 15 mins and you go back to watch the match. These times are not too much to worship your God who created you and has Total Dominion over you. Fear God, people have been watching football before you started watching it and some of them have died. They are in their graves right now making accounts how they spent their time of worship (Rejoicing or Regretting).
My brothers and sisters, don't let us join some people who say they can worship their Lord anytime they feel like. No, It is not so in Islam. The obligatory acts of worship have been stated for us, with their respective time and periods. The moderator that posted this, is biased! I ddn't expect this post to get to Front Page. There are other Islamic topics to be revealed to everybody. Critics are all around to pounce on anything that seems to be a weakness in a particular religion and the moderator knew this. This is a confirmation that that there are some people among the moderators who secretly mocks a certain religion and tries to make it seem insensible and meaningless to others, and this shouldn't be. I think Nairaland Forum was created for the whole community irrespective of age, race, ethics, colour, religion and so on. Positive change should be made on this, please.

Yes I agree. There are lots of pious women in the bible who merits the title prophetess. They have however not violated the law in 1 Corinthians 14:13-14. A woman can't talk in a church. No matter who or what she is. Even if she needs to ask her husband for something, it has to be at home. This was the level of sacredness. Those women you mentioned were pious and yes they were close to God, they however didn't have to go to the church to preach/give a talk about prophesies. The "prophetess" of today however wants to stand on the pulpit or whatever you call where the pastors stand to give talks. They want to show the world that they receive visions and all that and this is clearly against the law of old. You must try to agree something went wrong somewhere. Someone started to attribute less importance to those laws eventually making them redundant. I am positive that someone was not Jesus(pbuh) . Everything has been changed and that is the problem with today's Christian. There are certain things you unlock when you establish a strong connection with God. That doesn't make you a prophetess. That title is sacred. Divine...given to people of very high eminence as far as closeness to God is concerned. The problem a Muslim, like me, might have with a christian is the use of terms inappropriately. A Muslim agrees the highest religious/spiritual leader is sheikh. Never would you see a Muslim tag someone "prophet such and such". Look, that word stands for respect, distinction....only special people can be called that but yeah I understand the English has been taken for granted. It would have been better if Christians used " high priest/priestess". Just like the confusion with the trinity, when you call a certain christian a prophet, so I ask, Moses (pbuh) was a prophet, do you mean to tell me this such and such prophet is like Moses? You say not that kind of prophet but he is close to God. You keep confusing people. It would have been nice to be simple, direct an clear cut. Those people called prophets would have been better called high pastors. I'm just saying. A woman preaching on the altar has violated law and that is sacrilege. I'm moving to your other replies.

May Almighty God be with you as you try prove to the world the Straight Path(Islam) is the true way. Only if they can reason well can they see the beauty of Islam. Islam is just too perfect that it cannot be compared with other religions. The whole Qur'an is free from errors, not altered or have editions to suit their will. God so created enmity among them that a Bible used by a particular sect is strongly prohibited by another sect. None of them could even reason that which one of them is the original one. Errors are always still found in the acclaimed inspired books. But these people have been deafened and blinded by devil that they will always reject the obvious Truth.
We love you, the unbelievers. We don't want you to go astray like the people of the past who were also shown but refused the truth. Forget about the fact that your pastor and leaders preach with passion and so much enthusiasm. You all know you are not to worship them but Almighty God the way he prefers. Seek for the way he loves to be worshipped and make sure you get the right evidence so as not to remain on the wrong path. The claim that Bible is full of errors is not false. One cannot prove everything right in the Bible. And these faults cannot be attributed with God because God is without errors, He will never make mistakes.
You can never find errors in the best religion. One should look for the true way to the extent that another one can never be as perfect as the one you are practising or even better. I don't have the time to mention anything on Atheism, that will be some other time. But they should have a rethink. All the creatures are enough reasons to think that there must be a Supreme being that controls them all. No one should die a non-muslim! It is God that says that. Peace be upon you all!

Yea..They should try and read both comprehensively, they will notice the difference between Bible written over 70 years after the death of Jesus Christ by not one person but many people. Jesus never saw the bible talkless of using it to preach to people because even none of the writers were alive when Jesus(Isa) reigned. He didn't proclaim Christianity as a religion for them in their bible. Then the big question is, 'who was inspired to proclaim Christianity as a religion for Christians?? Who even named them Christians??
Could you imagine that the whole Holy Qur'an was revealed during the lifetime of Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W)? He used the Qur'an to preach to people. Islam was proclaimed by God in the Holy Qur'an as the universal religion. The verse goes thus : "This day, we have perfected for you, your religion and completed my favour upon you, and chosen for you Islam as a Religion." (Qur'an 5 : 3). The name 'Muslms' is mentioned in the following surahs : Maidah verse 111, Yunus 84, Fussilat verse 33, Al Imran verse 64.

Those ones are few of the many evidences affirming Islam as the true Religion and will always stand above the bible or other books written by men like us. May Almighty Allah guide us to the Straight Path.

Try and understand the verse very well. God commanded His angels to help Prophet Muhammad during battle against unbelievers. So you should know Almighty God would protect the believers . He has the power. So the angels would kill only the unbelievers. Moreover, Anyone that fights against Prophet Muhammad or Islam is an unbeliever, so they are bound to be destroyed.
