It is not reflexive negative mindset...... more about questioning and not swallowing whatever is dished out. Where have you ever seen or heard of such a machine locating people under rubble? ...or such a machine taken to the scene? Did you notice in the report it stated they claim the machine can locate trapped persons ?... why they claim?
Below are some pictures to help you clear your doubts
That machine is not to locate trapped persons but sense anyone alive under the rubble

TravelTrump Announces Ban Of Boeing 737 Max Flights by yinka10(op): 8:17pm On Mar 13, 2019
President Trump announced that the United States was grounding Boeing’s 737 Max aircraft, reversing an earlier decision by American regulators to keep the jets flying in the wake of a second deadly crash involving one of the jets in Ethiopia.

The Federal Aviation Administration had for days resisted calls to ground the plane even as safety regulators in some 42 countries had banned flights by the jets. As recently as Tuesday, the agency said it had seen “no systemic performance issues” that would prompt it to halt flights of the jet.

“The safety of the American people, of all people, is our paramount concern,” Mr. Trump said.

The order came hours after Canada’s transport minister said that newly available satellite-tracking data suggested similarities between the crash in Ethiopia and another accident last October.

The crash of Ethiopian Airlines Flight 302 killed all 157 people on board, and took place just minutes after takeoff. In October, a 737 Max 8 operated by Lion Air, an Indonesian carrier, crashed in similar circumstance and 189 people were killed.

PoliticsAkpabio Withdraws Court Case Challenging Election Defeat by yinka10(op): 2:02pm On Mar 08, 2019
Former Senate minority leader, Godswill Akpabio, has withdrawn a case he filed in court challenging his Senate reelection loss.

Mr Akpabio’s lawyer, Sunday Ameh, announced the withdrawal in court in Abuja on Friday. He did not give reasons for his decision.

Mr Akpabio filed the case despite Nigeria’s legal provision that Senatorial election disputes should be decided in the first instance by an election tribunal. Lawyers say conventional courts lack jurisdiction to hear such cases.

Regardless, the judge of the Federal Capital Territory High Court granted Mr Akpabio’s request to restrain parties involved in the case.

On Friday, the judge, Valentine Ashi, denied restraining the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) from issuing certificate of return to the Peoples Democratic Party candidate, Chris Ekpenyong, in the February 23 elections.
Mr Akpabio’s lawyer informed the court on Friday that his client had resolved to withdraw the application for judicial review.

The lawyer representing the INEC, Tanimu Inuwa, told journalists that the court lacks the jurisdiction to entertain the application since it is an election matter.

PoliticsAppeal Court Stays Order Disqualifying Taraba APC Governorship Candidate by yinka10(op): 5:40pm On Mar 07, 2019
The Court of Appeal sitting in Jalingo has ordered a stay of execution on the disqualification of the governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Taraba State, Mr Sani Danladi.

The court gave the order on Thursday, a day after the Federal High Court in Jalingo disqualified Mr Danladi from participating in the coming governorship election in the state.

The APC candidate was disqualified from the election over the allegation of improper declaration of age.

Delivering judgment on the case on Wednesday, Justice Steven Pam had held that there were discrepancies in the age declaration of the defendant.

According to him, the information contained in Danladi’s affidavit that he was born on February 14, 1968, was contrary to his date of birth contained in the West African Senior School Certificate he submitted to INEC, indicating that he was born on April 3, 1977.

The presiding judge had, thereafter, disqualified the APC candidate from contesting the election scheduled for March 9, or any subsequent date to be slated.

He explained that this was because the information contained in the affidavit in support of Danladi’s personal particulars in the INEC Form CF001 submitted to the commission as to his age “is false”.

Justice Pam had also restrained INEC and the APC from recognising, accepting or treating Danladi as the candidate of the party for the election.

He also stopped the first defendant from parading himself as the candidate of the APC for the poll...

PoliticsCourt Orders INEC To Allow PDP, Atiku Access All Electoral Materials by yinka10(op): 6:31pm On Mar 06, 2019
A three-man panel of the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal in Abuja has granted PDP, Atiku access to All Electoral Materials in the presidential elections.

The panel on Wednesday heard the ex-parte motion filed by the Peoples Democratic Party and its presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, seeking an order granting them access to inspect the electoral materials used for the February 23 polls.

Atiku filed an ex-parte motion at the Court of Appeal in Abuja, asking for various orders of the court to allow him to access all documents used by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for the conduct of the presidential election.

The ex-parte motion prayed for an order compelling INEC to allow them to inspect the register and other vital documents used in the conduct of the election unhindered.

In delivering its ruling, the panel ordered INEC to allow the appellant access to all electoral material to enable the applicant file and maintain an electoral petition.

However, the court refused prayers 3 to 5 which sort scanning and forensic audit. Stating that a forensic audit does not fall under the terms envisaged by section 151 of the electoral act.

PoliticsKeyamo Replies Obasanjo: Yakubu Gowon Is The Boss Of All Bosses by yinka10(op): 5:43pm On Mar 06, 2019
''Just to set the records straight: The boss of ALL bosses today in Nigeria is Gen. Yakubu Gowon," Keyamo wrote.

Keyamo, a Senior Advocate of Nigeria and spokesman of the President Muhammadu Buhari Campaign Organisation, has responded to former President Olusegun Obasanjo's coment that he would continue to criticise Buhari because he is his boss and he had held the position of President longer than anyone else.

Obasanjo made the comment in his remarks at an event organised to celebrate his 82nd birthday on Tuesday in Abeokuta, the Ogun State capital.

“The point is that I have been in that position longer than any Nigerian could ever be there. That is the truth because if any Nigerian comes in now and have two terms, he will not have almost four (4) years of military rule," he had said.

“I have been there longer than any Nigerian will ever be there. So, when I say something, I know what I am talking about. So, Kabiyesi, anytime you say ‘leave my boss alone’, I agree, he is your boss, but I am also his boss. So, you might also ask your boss to leave his boss alone or do what is right that his boss wants him to do.”

However, responding via his Twitter handle on Wednesday, Keyamo disagreed, arguing that Yakubu Gowon, not Obasanjo, has held the position for the longest period of time.

Keyamo wrote: “Just to set the records straight: The boss of ALL bosses today in Nigeria is Gen. Yakubu Gowon who holds the record of the SINGLE longest unbroken rein as Head-of-State. He’s senior to ALL. And as access is always guaranteed, he goes into the Villa ANYTIME to offer useful advice.”

PoliticsElections: APC Candidates, Others Step Down For PDP by yinka10(op):
Governor David Umahi’s re-election bid received a boost on Tuesday when 26 opposition candidates stepped down for him.

Also, two All Progressives Congress (APC) State House of Assembly candidates at the event also announced that they were stepping down for opposition PDP candidates.

Okorie Ogbonnaya of the Advanced Allied Party (AAP), who spoke on behalf of the governorship candidates, said their decision was to allow for continuity.

“After critically appraising the developmental stride of Governor Umahi and in perfect agreement that he has done well in his first term and will do more in the second term, we the underlisted political parties hereby resolve without any form of force to step down for Governor David Umahi and adopt him as our sole candidate for the governorship election,” he said.

They said their decision would enable the governor to complete his eight years term as enshrined in the Ebonyi ‘charter of equity’ ”which stipulated that each senatorial zone should have two uninterrupted terms in office.”

The candidates also resolved that they will not go to court in the event that Mr Umahi is re-elected in Saturday’s governorship election.

“But we shall fight for justice and stand by the people of the state in the case of obvious alleged planned manipulation of the election by the APC,” they said

Also speaking, the APC House of Assembly candidate for Ezza South Constituency, Amechi Nweke, said he was stepping down ”in support of the developmental strides of the governor”.

The South East Vice Chairman of the PDP, Austin Umahi; State Deputy Governor, Kelechi Igwe; State PDP Chairman, Onyekachi Nwebonyi and other leaders of the party were on hand to welcome the politicians to the party

Travel‘bi-courtney Has A Valid 36-year Concession On MMA2’. by yinka10(op): 2:05pm On Mar 05, 2019
Following a report by an online medium, Bi-courtney has reaffirmed that the organisation has a 36-year concession on MMA2.

A release signed by the Head of Communication Bi-Courtney Aviation Services Limited, Eniola Ade-Solanke, stated that the clear provisions of the concession agreement between Bi-Courtney and the government upholds the operation of the MMA2 terminal for an undisputed period of 36 years

Our attention has been drawn to an article published by an online medium alleging that MMA2’s term is 12 years and is about to expire.

“While we find this very surprising, we will like to set the records straight by stating that, Bi-Courtney Ltd. entered into a Concession Agreement with the Federal Republic of Nigeria, for the Build, Operate and Transfer of the MMA2 for 36 years.

“It is obvious that MMA2 is the most well designed and run terminal in the country operating on very limited revenue. It is a masterpiece in the provision of public infrastructure through private capital. “Whilst the writer of the article set out to mislead the public through very untruthful and malicious statements, the peddlers of this baseless story have refused to come to terms with the fact that MMA2 has thrived in the face of operational challenges battling the concession including FAAN’s flagrant breach of concession agreement.

“For the avoidance of doubt, the facts are stated as follows:

“The Federal Airport Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) offered Bi-Courtney a 36-year lease in a letter dated 12th of October 2006 and an agreement was duly signed on the 2nd of Feb 2007 by the Minister of Aviation.
The agreement was further confirmed at a meeting held on 7th of July 2009 chaired by the former President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria – His Excellency, Late Mallam Umaru Musa Yar’adua, GCFR, in attendance with the Honourable Minister of Aviation, Secretary General to the Federal Government, Attorney General of the Federation / Honourable Minister of Justice, Honourable Minister of Finance, MD/CEO of FAAN and the Chairman of Bi-Courtney amongst others.

“The clear provisions of the concession agreement between Bi-Courtney and the Government upholds the operation of the MMA2 terminal for an undisputed period of 36 years.
