Also China is the largest exporter of a special earth mineral (i.e about 45% ) that is what America use in making nuclear weapon. They are also the largest importer of Boeing which is America biggest aircraft production company. Why do you think Trump pause the tariff for 90 days. The long and short of it is USA needs China morethan they need USA.

US want China to come to the negotiating table so they can renegotiate the trade terms.
I read China have not been keeping to agreement, patent are stolen, mass produce in to different types and eventually kick the original inventor out of business and you can't sue them for patent theft in China.
They have not been keeping to the WTO agreement since they joined.
This is why Trump is raising the tarrifs to make them come to terms.

you read which is fine but do you know 80% of USA companies has their manufacturing plant in China, secondly I would take years to get to the level China is in the industry today and lastly you are not looking at the effect of tariff on US economy, it's not the company that imports that would pay the for the said tariff but the citizen would coz prices of goods would go up now is that really helping the citizens.
