Based on the interaction and interest on this post, I've finally decided to start a new thread here: https://www.nairaland.com/5227921/shopify-dropshipping-101-taking-nairalander

Bro thanks for your input. We've decided to go with ladies niche. Ladies have the tendency of making impulse buys than we guys, so we're looking to capitalize on that.
BTW I think the camping niche is a great niche to explore too. These whites love camping ehnn smiley

The screenshot above is from the camping niche :-) I started a new store in the camping niche.

Yes, $300 is fair, but you'd need to be stringent with your product research method and spend less on testing. I'd be going over all that

So Guys, I started a new store yesterday after making this post...and started running some ads today and so far made 2 sales..

I'd be documenting the whole process on a new thread...so stay in touch.

Bro. I'm not saying you're not going to make sales selling women accessories but it's going to be limited. That niche and industry is somehow. There are better niches you can explore and sell products there.. We have the baby niche, kitchen tools niche, outdoor /camping niche, security niche and lots more. Basically you want to sell a product that solves a problem OR offers convenience. People will buy products like this without thinking twice if your creative and store is well set up.

Good point...But there's lots of money to be made in that niche... I've done consistently well, in that niche

Hey Bro thanks for sharing info about this dropshipping of a thing.

My friend and I have planned to set up a shopify store at the end of this month. We've budgeted to spend around $150 for ads in our first month, and also we are also looking on dropshipping women's accessories.

Please what advice can you give to us?

Thanks a million.

I'm gonna be showing you some sick product research methods to find unsaturated winners in the beauty niche.. I'd have to create a new post for that..

That's a solid niche to be honest with you. Women spend the most amount of cash online...And I've had more success in the female niche, especially the beauty niche, than any other niche..They buy virtually anything...lolz.

$150 for ads seems really tight for this business model. I advise you save up more. Cause that alone will be the Budget you'd use for Testing products, to find what the market wants.

Yeah
But since you’re into it already I can leverage on ya experience. I don’t mind paying something... mentoring kind of ...

Information overload too plenty for yt

Honestly speaking, I don't think I will have the time to do that(Mentoring or Store Creation). If at all I'd have to do that, then I may get a little bit pricey, as it means I'd have to sacrifice 3-8hours from my time to create you a fully functional store which involves a shopify store and working payment processors..

I may have to create another thread on Nairaland concerning that, when I'm chanced so everyone can benefit from that...

I'm thinking of starting a new shopify store from scratch and taking it to $3k in a month, while detailing all the processes here on Nairaland, and you guys just have to follow suite. I'd record a video when it gets to store creation, if there's enough time..

I think this will help a lot of people on here

I will like to setup e-commerce store..
Can you do this

It's pretty easy, you'd have to play around with some things..

It depends on the web platform you want to use.

You could opt in for Shopify or Woocommerce.

There are lots of videos on YouTube regarding store creation. It's not something I can teach with written or typed words.

'You have to test the waters with the dropshipping model first, once you find a winner launch FBA on it'.

shed more light on this please

I mean, you have to test a bunch of products in your niche to find out what the Market wants, before launching FBA around that product. This way you are certain that the product will sell.

Famz can we create a whatsapp group for this stuff and make it a close group like the crowd flower guys? Limiting attendance and saturating information

Well, I hardly go to WhatsApp.. And I want everyone to gain some knowledge from this thread... We've hidden information too much... If I do decide to make a guide concerning this, then I'd create a WhatsApp group specifically for showing individuals how to create a PayPal acct and how to withdraw their funds..

In fact, I'm planning on doing a 30-Day challenge where I create a new stripe acct, new PayPal and take a new store to 8-10k in 30 days and will document every single step on here and on YouTube...

ok,then how much are we talking about?

$600-800 for a start

Thing is you're gonnna lose $150-200 initially, as you'd be testing the waters and diff products as well as adset to find out what works... It's advised to spend $25-50 testing a product... You may end up testing 4-6 before finding a solid winner...

You'd start making your $150 loss back, when you scale on your already found winner...And can make your loss back in one day, 3 days or lesser depending on how fast you scale..

So don't think the whole $700 is gonna be invested... PayPal may hold your funds for 21 days(as a new seller), stripe will take 7 Business days to send the money to your account, so within that period, you'd have to use your personal cash to fulfill orders while awaiting the payment from your payment providers

50k.

have u tried the Amazon stuff B4?

I'm just thinking of starting from Amazon...

I know of people doing Amazon FBA, but I myself haven't delved into it based on the tight Amazon Policies..and truth is you don't just jump into it...Cause you may spend all your cash stocking products in Amazon's warehouse and at the end of the day, it wouldn't sell. You have to test the waters with the dropshipping model first, once you find a winner launch FBA on it.

That's Nigerian Market I suppose, the competition space in this Market is low...and except you offer pay on delivery, it'd not be efficient
