What of those that might wanna pay via visa or mastercard

On Ebay there are two modes of Payment, you as a seller can offer.

1. PayPal
2. Ebays checkout merchant (Not eligible for everyone)
With EBay's checkout merchant, Ebay handles all the payment activities and transfers the money to either your PayPal, Apple Pay, etc account..

Not all accounts are eligible for the EBay's checkout merchant... therefore, PayPal becomes mandatory..

Thanks for the detailed reply. I'm a student and I would like venturing into this business. Would like to get some advice from you. Thanks again

My advise will be to save up enough cash and follow some pretty good individuals in the field. The likes of Rito (Flying start online), Franklin Hatchett, Gabriel St-Germain, Chris Waller(King Comm), Nick peroni.

That was a very smart business strategy. Thanks for that golden nugget.
I am going to stick to your thread, hopeful that you'd find time from your schedule for a tutorial.

What about the name of your website/shop?... Is it something generic like 'classic jewelry collections' or something centered around a brand like 'Jumia'?.

Yh it's branded, as I plan on turning it into a brand later on with private labeling

please can u help in opening the FBA account. Nigerians are not accepted anymore

can u help please

Why Amazon btw? Amazon FBA means fulfillment by Amazon...Meaning you'd have to ship your product to Amazon's warehouse and they do the fulfillment..

You, dropshipping unto Amazon isn't Amazon FBA, to do that all you need is an Amazon seller account..

I don't do Amazon dropshipping due to the little margins and stringent policies and the fact that you don't have access to the emails or contacts of people who buy from you.

Thank you.

It sounds like you are spending a lot on Ads. Did you start spending that much from the beginning?.

Started with $400 on ads, I spent $150 testing 6 different products on Day 1...two were promising, so i doubled down on those with $250 spend (over 3-4 days) and then I made some profit, so I just reinvested the profit till i got to spending $100-120 daily ..
Business / Re: Anyone Dropshipping Successfully From Nigeria? by yizzyweezy: 9:03am On Jun 04, 2019
How long did it take you to start making profit from the business?.

About 3-4 Weeks

When did you start?.

How do you handle the logistics involved?.

I ship with epacket..My supplier handles all that...I don't have to stock the product. I have a good rapport with my suppliers on Aliexpress and they ship all my orders worldwide, quickly and it gets delivered within 10-15 days

How much did it cost you to set up the business?.

$700+

And your Ads?... How much do you spend on Ads?.

$3-4k Monthly

How do you price your products?... And what platforms do you source from?.

I source from Aliexpress (sometimes, banggoods for faster shipping and specific products)

I price my products such that I make at least $25 profit per sale, due to the rising cost of FB ads, as I average $10- $20 cost per sale

Bro, it's people like you we need in this country. I'm actually a student thinking of what next I can do after skul. I am a regular customer on the business page of nairaland, always scouting for ideas. Please i and so many of us here need your help. You can just create a telegram group and drop a tutorial for us.

My whatsapp number is 09014238376

#He who helps a child has helped a family

If this posts gets lots of engagement, I may decide to open a new thread and post a concrete tutorial on this from activation of Payment Gateway, Product research, FB ads, Removing limitations from PayPal.. to withdrawing your money to your bank account....

Bro what do you think of FBA

Amazon account

ordering my stuff on AliExpress and selling it off on Amazon

I want to gather enough capital before going into ur kinda thing fully

If you wanna do that, I'd advise you source from a different site with faster shipping times...E.g. Homedepot...

Or dropship on ebay from Amazon

Aliexpress delivery times are too long for successful and sustainable Amazon DS business.. Your seller account will get shut down and banned.

okay. Do you have any plan to do a tutorial on this from A-z on this thread or it will just be a question and answer thingy?

I'm honestly too busy to post a tutorial on this... There are lots of posts about that on the internet already... Question and Answer seems less stressful to me.

I'd like it to be a question and Answer session, and anyone who has anything to chip in, can freely do so in the comments..
Also, all relevant questions will be duly answered in the comments to my best of knowledge

I love your sincerity here. So what is your traffic model? Free (seo) or paid (Facebook, influencer, ad words)?

Google Shopping Ads (PLAs) for some high ticket branded products on my store
and FB Ads for products I see others selling on Facebook (low ticket prods)

Following interestingly. I intend going into FULL dropshipping quite soon, I'm still learning the ropes. What do you guys think of chinabrands.com?

I haven't dealt with chinabrands, but from my observations I'm pretty sure it's like 1688 and if it's so , you'd need a Chinese agent to source your goods, and most times they'd want you to be doing a pretty solid amount of sales monthly say 800+... Most of them don't support the dropshipping model, rather the wholesale model, and the shipping time wouldn't accommodate this DS model

I heard stripe doesn't allow Nigerians to register anymore. How true? How did you create your stripe please?

The payment processor is a major issue. Can you assist in explaining how you got them.

I intend starting this dropshipping biz.
Which domain host is reliable?
I have setup Stripe and Payoneer account ( how do i integrate it to my e-commerce website when i start?)
Wordpress or Shopify( pros and cons)
Which country is best targeted( why and what niche?)
All these questions are what's holding me back

1. As for domain host, I use namecheap, it's easy integrating with Shopify

2. I use Shopify

3. Top epacket countries, as they are less saturated, as for niches, any that is women dominated

It's no news that dropshipping is getting really really popular in Nigeria, with the likes of Degenius and the rest actively promoting it.

I know every one successfully involved in Dropshipping wouldn't be active on this platform, definitely. I'm doing good in dropshipping and hardly am I here on Nairaland... I only come when I need to exchange my funds.

I remember when I used to scout Nairaland for chicken change, lol...I feel I can help give back to the community and my fellow hustlers..

I'd like to know how many of you are GENUINELY successful with dropshipping, and maybe we can share one or two ideas that could help those planning on venturing into this business model.

shocked shocked. With this ur story I think I LL deactivate PayPal on my store o. I can't hustle for money ND PayPal will start telling me story tomorrow.

You need it... deactivate it and you'd have lesser conversions. You can go ahead and try it out and see if it affects your conversions.

I just started pulling in $400 daily consistently...and I always withdraw it immediately.... They'd ask you for documents to verify the acct, and the documents can easily be faked....but for some reason I just checked again and see that I got my account temporary limited....They saw all my documents were legit, and had to piggy back on me by checking when I created the account...

Sadly, that was some 2-3 years ago, a month before i turned 18...So they told me to create a new acct with my real age, and withdraw the money on this acct to a bank...

You can easily verify Details with an international passport. Just ensure that you open your PayPal with all your real details, to avoid stories that touch during verification

Hope the transaction isn't fraudulent?

No it isnt...If you're into the dropshipping space, you'd know quite well that you need PayPal to accept payments, and you'd also know quite well that You can't receive money with a Nigerian PayPal acct..You need a UAE, South African, or Lesotho PayPal acct to receive money. Now the problem will be withdrawing the money from these type of PayPal accts....For that you need a USA Bank Acct (originally meant for expatriates)....and that's what I need rn to move my funds...... I've been able to move the funds originally by reselling to PayPal dealers at 300NGN/$, but I've been losing quite a lot....

So recently Paypal decided that the only way I can withdraw the last $350 on my acct will be through a USA Bank or credit card, and not by sending it anymore....Hence my reason for this post.

Good day everyone..So straight to the point. PayPal won't let me withdraw my money to any Bank account except a USA bank account...

And to do that I need to attach a USA Bank acct, they won't let me Withdraw to anything but a USA Bank Acct...

I'm willing to give 10k to anyone who'd help withdraw to his or her USA acct details.... The money to be withdrawn isn't much tho'..
But I'd give you 10k for it

It's a Lesotho PayPal acct, btw.

And Just know that Payoneer USA Accts can't be used to withdraw the money, you can't even attach it, except of course there's a trick around that...

Yeah, you gotta be ready to take the risk, and play shabby a lil' bit. Right now I've got my Paypal acct temporarily limited and they're requesting for my proof of identity and proof of address, before I can continue with its usage.

I have someone who can prepare me some fake Docs, but I hope it works..As for the utility bill, anyone can fake that and it will definitely be accepted, as long as there is an address match with the info on your PayPal acct...The only issue I'm gonna be having is getting a Lesotho Identity Card. I hope I can pull the stunt with my Nigerian Passport...as I stated my nationality was "Nigerian" while registering..

Will give you update on how it goes...after 7 days

Are you dropshipping to tier 1 countries?

Yah, they're the only ones with enough disposable income to purchase....I dropship to epacket countries...but most of my sales comes from the USA...AOV is around $80 or thereabout...

Do you dropship too?
