Do you realize youre naive in such scam cases on nairaland?

That scammer mentions any name he deems fit to use and mentions whatever details the person has used on nl ... obviously u didn't message him on that email and confirm if hes the one ure talking to ...

Have you run a search on the phone number you transacted with?

Do that and tell us what you find out... it can never be linked to the guy encrypt... its linked to a reknowned scammer here and he doesnt mention his own handle anymore cos the handle is already known to be for a scammer so he mentions other peoples handle and the fault lies on you who didnt come here to quote him and tell him to reply with the handle he mentioned so as to confirm hes truly the owner of the handle...

If you wann get him, you can... hes still using same number for a very long time but leave encrypt out of this and stop making a scene ...

NB: that scammer has been busted multiple times on thefxchanger escrow group handled by hazzantazzan. On different occasions, he has claimed to be royalads and encrypt but hes never any of those handles...

Once i see his number, i know its the useless and hungry scammer ...

Ymarts ... accept that you donated to charity cos you didnt use escrow or make your findings...

Dont accuse innocent people without proof... everyone whos familiar with how this guy operates know that royalads and encrypt are just names he mentions to his scam victims
it's alright

Another thing that you can do, is this, which has worked very well for me, go to police head quarters, with the proof of payment to the scammers account, and they will give you a paper to take to the scammers bank to obtain his details, and that is it, the banks will not release his details without police report or they will tell you what to do, I did this with diamond Bank years ago.
this and more investigation I cannot say here are already being performed, the only thing delaying the process is the Coronavirus issue, but he cannot escape. It's either he is caught or his accomplices caught.

The rest of the suspected scammers being mentioned here is a normal process, until they prove beyond doubt that they are innocent.

Royalads you better go now and file your law suit, you have fishy profiles on nairaland which are being gathered against you.

Your response on whatsapp also complicated your issue. You remain a suspect until the people in charge are done, so relax if you are innocent

Listen, the phone number the complainant placed here, supposedly used by the scammer to scam him, is linking a website that has your email address, and that email address is now matched to your user handle here on nairaland.com.

N:B scammers from experience always forget to clean up properly grin
No, allow them continue to make noise.....they should better run back to their villages and hide in a thick forest instead of making unnecessary noise here.

This scammer have been using different bank account details belonging to different people to collect his scam proceeds, who are those peoplehuh He also uses different phone numbers.......the world is now interconnected, you cannot scam and go free unless the victim decided to let you go free because he doesn't have money, resources and time to get the scammer

@ymarts:

This is the last time I will reply you on this and the next time you tag my 'username' on this issue, I will find you and take up serious LEGAL actions against you. I only buy websites on Nairaland. And Nobody has even come to complain that I have bought a website from him/her without paying and I have bought over 5 websites so far.

I have never for once advertised that I offer Escrow services, neither have I asked anyone to contact me for any other paid services for that matter. Someone told you he or she is royalads and you didn't carry out further investigation to confirm the person's ID. You were foolish enough to fall for the scam. Now that you have been scammed, you are tagging me into what I know nothing about.

You dropped your number on my thread and I reached out thinking you had a website to sell. Only for you to start telling me that someone is scamming people with my name. Did I ever advertise that I'm into crypto currency or whatever deal you had with the person. And you even went ahead to tell me to prove that I am legitimate by dropping my contact details on my profile. For what bro? For what? When I'm not offering any services.

This is the last time I will ever mention you again. I will take up an action against you for DEFAMATION if you tagg me into this trash again. If you are running mad or whatever, please stay off my lane.
Listen, the case is already gone beyond online threats, so you can as well start your litigation.

A notorious scammer on Nairaland have consistently mentioned your profile in his scam activities and you kept mute and have never come out to address it, and you expect not to be dragged out with himhuh

Go and find out, Police assumes all accused persons mentioned in a criminal case as guilty until they prove themselves beyond all doubt as innocent.....you don't wave off a criminal allegation with threats.....even your countenance on whatsapp chat when I calmly chatted you was highly suspicious.

And why did you dump your previous fishy Nairaland profilehuh

Listen, picking your calls won't solve the issue. The scammer's case has gone beyond my capacity....I cannot even stop the process again because it has been escalated.

This guy have been using your moniker, royalads to scam on Nairaland and people have reported this before now here, none of you deemed it fit to come here and post a public disclaimer distancing yourself from the scammer....you think scam case is a joke to just wave asidehuh

While royalads claim he is a private person who does not have access to his nairaland account linked email and therefore does not respond to PMs, and refuses to put his whatsapp number on his profile signature but he claims that he buys websites on this same Nairaland but refuses to put his contact and a scammer continues to use his moniker like yours to scam people, how does that soundhuh

Guys,

I think it's imperative we exercise some caution. These scammers are known to claim identify of popular people here to do business.

Someone has contacted me before because someone else was chatting with him as "Cowbelly" imagine if that scam has happened ? Would you then accuse me of fraud ?

Recently, someone else has opened an account "Cowbell521" and I'm putting it on record again. This is not me. I don't have an alternate account.

Thanks.
hey stay out of this. The case is already beyond your capacity. Just read and pass. Once the authority in charge finish their background checks, whoever that is innocent will be free, the guilty will be handled. So just stay out of it

Of course it is my email address which I would have dropped sometime on this forum. It has my first and last name you fool.

But show me an email I sent you from that email.

Show me where I chatted with you on nairaland with this current moniker.

Just show me anything at all that connects us other than the word of a scammer.

What kind of scammer users his first and last name as an email address.

I have already said I am not the one he only mentioned my moniker to gain credibility.

Go through this thread you will see several cases where scammers claim to be other people. They get caught when they're asked to quote.

Which is what you should have done.

I didn't Scam you.. I don't know you!
don't panic, allow the authority do their job, once they are done and you are clean you have nothing to worry okay. Calm down if you are innocent.

All the people connected to the scammer will be fished out, they cannot hide unless they die before the investigation is over

All hands must be on desk to ensure this scammer is stopped at all cost.

We cannot fold our hands and allow scammers to go free like this which give them the gut to continue scamming more vulnerable Nigerians and thereby destroying business trust in Nigeria.

It doesn't matter how much is involved, making sure the scammer is stopped will discourage other fraudulent people from engaging in online scam as a means of living.

That guy is notorious here. He has to be stopped.
He really needs to be stopped at all cost. Whether security wise or spiritually eliminated, whichever way, he must be stopped at all cost!!

Recovering the money is not enough, making sure he is eliminated completely is the most important aspect. Recovering money he scammed and letting him go is bad for legitimate Nigerians.

Pls and pls if you are scammed don't stop at recovering your money. Make sure the scammer rots in jail or better sent below 6ft using any available means you have. Don't pity scammers, they deserve to die horribly!!

Its not just about the money, the let down, the emotional trauma, the insult and the dent they are doing on Nigerian online business transactions; destroying trust and killing business opportunities for young Nigerians.

We agreed to deal for Zelle.

I was to pay him NGN49,000 for $140 Zelle fund.

After I paid to his FCMB bank account. He kept saying he has not received the money for hours which raised my concern.

After some underground research about him, I found out he is a famous resident scammer on Nairaland who scams people through PayPal and Zelle payment service.

I paid to the below account:

8024661083
Alex Afolabi
FCMB

We transacted through his phone: 2348021834083

Amount involved: NGN49,000

I paid him through a company I use for logistics: Mimilogs Nigeria

Chai N49k just like that, the guy must be smiling at his bank now, he is a notorious scammer and the picture you have is most likely not him, he just changed his Whatsapp profile picture to a quote in the Bible, even a scammer uses the holy book quotes.

I can ask my friend in Osun state to send him enlarged scrotum by wifi, he will spend N500k still he won't be able to cure it.
He is on radar as we speak. There is no way the guy will go scold free.

We didn't pay him cash. We paid to a bank account and the discussion was made through a whatsapp communication, so there is track record. I just pity the people he is using their account details.

If notorious kidnappers can be nabbed, he is too small. He has been getting away because he was scamming vulnerable youths who didn't have enough fund and more to get him. We are ready for him.

Good luck in nabbing him.

Every scammer deserves to be behind bars, there is no excuse for scam. Scam is scam!

I promise you, he will be nabbed.

He had been scamming vulnerable youths who didn't have the resources, adequate information and connection to get him, but he made a very big mistake this time. He should have known better when he saw the name of the account that transferred money to him, he is senseless and dull.

My anger is the emotional stress he has put me through, if it is nabbing him, it has been settled. Even if he is not the owner of the account and phone numbers, it doesn't matter, unless he lives outside the shores of Nigeria.

Good evening Nairalanders.

This is to bring to your notice that I have just been scammed by Alex Afolabi also known as Jeremy Akanbi.

He used a different phone number, different account details and a new tactics. But guess whathuh This will be his doomsday.

He said he has Zelle funds for sale and paypal funds, we paid him, even after informing him the implication of trying to scam, but he felt he is above the law, maybe he has been getting away with scamming vulnerable Nairalanders, but I promise you, if you like use children in your village that you are using their bank account to scam people, so long as you are in Nigeria, you will be paraded very soon, I assure you that.

People like you are fools, how can you think you will be scamming different people you don't even know and not get caught or killed one day?? That's stupidity....check records of famous criminals, cultists, ritualists, Yahoo boys, internet scammers, it is one transaction that brings an end to their evil deeds, and I assure you, this is your time. So wherever you are, whether Jeremy Akanbi is your real name or not, so long as you are alive and in Nigeria, get ready!

NOTE: before you do any exchange or transaction on Nairaland, please use a popular and known escrow, don't ever trust any Nairalander that you have no enough recommendations.

Don't ever pay to any exchanger or service provider here that is using Opay or any Online App account.

If any of them scam you, don't panic, gone are the days internet scammers go free......just make sure you have got enough proofs of the transaction and the service involved. Stay safe.
