1. Usually, for HIRE PURCHASE there isn't any mandatory need for an initial deposit except if so determined by both parties in the contract and in which case the amount will also have to be negotiated and agreed upon by both parties interested contract.

2. Regardless of how much was collected as the initial deposit, weekly remit is mostly dependent on the economic value and activity level of the route being plied by your driver. I don't know about Benin city but I think that on the average 25k - 40k should not be bad for a minibus in any part of Nigeria. Please make your personal findings and then reach an agreement comfortable for you with your driver

3. Usually, the profit percentage desired on any newly purchased vehicle is 50-75%. This means that for a vehicle purchased for 1.2M (which is quite costly in my opinion), you'd be looking at receiving a total sum of 1.8-2.1M.

4. Whatever initial deposit you collect and whatever weekly remit you decide please ensure that the time factor for recovering your investment does not exceed 18months. The reason is that by the end of this period it is expected that the economic value of your commercial vehicle would have depreciated by around 30% thereby making it difficult to sell off profitably if your driver hasn't kept to the terms and agreement adopted.

5. Until he fully owns the bus, you remain the legitimate owner of your vehicle; hence, always supervise your investment. I wish you all the best

Hi... Permit me to add a few thoughts to your enquiry

1. If your choice of danfo isn't already cast in stone and iron I'll advise you go for a car and place on Hire Purchase

2. Danfo drivers are in a world of their own, including the educated ones. Trust me, you don't wanna stroll into that world as a noob armed with a newly purchased Danfo...

3. Whatever your choice of Vehicle, please place it on Hire Purchase and have a written agreement with your Driver

4. Supervision Supervision Supervision ... Make unplanned visits to see the state of your vehicle regularly. Call your driver and make him bring the vehicle to wherever you are... Downside is you may have to lose a part of the weekly remit for that week but trust me it would always be worth it.

5. Treat your driver right... Treat him like you would an employee... Ask him questions outside of work and be interested in his happiness and well being.. Not necessarily because you want to but because it buys his loyalty (very important recipe for success)

6. Then, go hard... After playing nice. Don't be hesitant to yank off the deal if the success of the venture is threatened at any point of time...

7. Transportation business is lucrative. I am open to further discussions. I wish you good luck

Good evening guys , I signed up for Mturk last night with VPN using US ID as well Nigeria ID without VPN with two different email addresses.
few minutes ago I got their mail .
the US ACCOUNT GOT APPROVED while the Nigeria account got rejected . I was told they may call me in the future to complete the account.
I don't have interest in the US account again after reading lots if comment about it , ranging from suspension of the account in the future, and whereas I don't even have the Us social security number (SSN)

For the Approved US Account, did you use a US telephone number and address or Nigerian?

I think you shouldn't be in a hurry to dispose of the approved account. These verifications you are scared of may not be necessary if your account never gets flagged. I'd advise you proceed with your hustle...
