No surprises there.

Everybody knows that Shariah Law is a farce that is meant to subdue the poor. We all saw the wife of a Saudi Prince or something in a tight minigown. A poor woman in the same dress would be stoned to death.

The system works so well because the poor would even police themselves.

It's not about Sharia alone Bro. Do you mean there are no Christian politicians stealing too?

A lot of people still don’t know that the introduction of BVN made politicians withdraw their money in Order not to be traced back to them … since it might be too bulky to hide , they converted billions of Naira into dollars…thereby creating artificial scarcity due to the obvious high demand for dollars…

Any time EFCC or FG is really ready to fight crime and bring down dollars for real…they know exactly what to do and not this artificial subsidizing the dollars and witch hunting which will never have a lasting effect

But no matter how you see it, dollars will continue to fall because the demand for it will reduce. Those that have it in excess will be forced to sell.

Politics / Re: Nigeria Must Invest Heavily In The North To Overcome Insecurity, Poverty – Obi by yommen: 8:05am On Apr 09
SmartPolician:
The way Peter Obi keeps saying everything about the north since 2022, I hope he doesn't plan to become another Goodluck Jonathan who will focus on developing the North and neglecting the South.

Although I am not his fan, I like the way Tinubu is spreading projects across the country, especially with federal road construction.

However, that's not what Nigeria needs now. Nigeria needs true federalism so that states/zones can grow with the resources in their domains, have their police and pay taxes to the centre.

They can't even face front. We are talking about Peter Obi. He changed the direction to Tinubu entirely. Na wa o!

Some govt officials talk like what I don’t understand.

If people said the buses would breakdown on the road or it’ll have terrible maintenance, it’s simply because they’ve seen what was done with the previous ones (non electric) that’s been bought.

What’s oju ti awon ota, when people were only pointing out poor maintenance culture of anything that belongs to the government. Even though monies are budgeted for these maintenance it still isn’t used for that purpose.

Just do your work and leave otas alone.

Oju ti yinnnnn!!! Many of you are always negative about every good thing that concerns others. It's so obvious. If one or two vehicle break down along the road, it's a normal thing. It's not like you moved 20km and came across up to 5 or 10 BRT buses broken down all at once. Mind you, the OP is not representing the state government on Nairaland. We know the kind of comments we see from people whose state governments are still far behind in their thinking. Their state is far behind but when they read news like this about Lagos, they still give very negative vibes. Oju ti yinnnn!!!

Demand for naira is what largely will boost naira in a floating currency system....

...hope u understand that Dangote is not exporting crude oil products to other nations in naira...he's being paid in dollars for his exports ....

If care is not taken...the old man can start to demand for dollars from local market because he imports crude oil in dollars to refine... grin grin grin

His business operation will not significantly boost naira as Reno claimed without the government heavily paying subsidy on the exchange rate as they are doing now......

Thats why they are saying Reno is a paid propaganda spreader.....

100 Units. Band C. I'm actually placed on C instead of D. I have complained. By month end, I should by 160 units for 5k

Okay I decided to recharge 1k and I got 20 units. Tariff is 46 per unit aside VAT: 930 for 20 is equal to N46 per kWh.

There is one thing I have noticed with Nigerians home and abroad. The literate ones pick a piece of information, distort it and pass it to the illiterate and misinformation continues. Mind you, there are many people on this forum that can read and write but unfortunately are still illiterate.

But trust some people to spew bigoted comment all over the thread, while your leaders ironically team up to loot the country undecided

Celebrating yourself and your achievements is not tribalism. It is when others are celebrating themselves but you now decide to show hate that is tribalism. So if an Igbo man is being celebrated for TRUE achievements and a Yoruba man is condemning it, then the Yoruba man is being tribalistic. This your comment is bigotry too because you wouldn't have it if the person in question is your tribe.

If Nigerians make the mistake of not purchasing air peace. You will forever remain cash cow for foreign airline. Don't be fooled by price differences. This is the time to suppose air peace with your last kobo. I was looking at Ghana few miles from Lagos £425. Very soon air peace will reduce their prices too. Right Nigerian air Peace needs your support. It won't go down in my time.

Even Onyema would go for a cheaper option when he sees one. So I will say because I want to buy Nigeria, I will buy something of 1m when I can pay less and save 300k for the other option. Guy, you are being unrealistic jorr..

The figure is so wrong. Was electricity $0.19(N223) in 2021? Or was that the right price while we have been paying less? Besides, electricity per unit I'm Nigeria cannot be said to be N223 because it's only 15% of the population that are to pay 223. Others pay far less, not even up half of that.

I'm on Band D. I buy at the rate of N31 on prepaid meter. We basically enjoy 12 hours: 7am to 10am, 2pm to 5pm, 11pm to 5pm. During the day, I'm not around to use it but only use it to sleep overnight. I don't even use more than 3k electricity monthly but Sir, I fuel gen with probably up to 20k to use in the evening(not even everyday) for just 2 hours. They bring the light 11pm when I'm in bed already. They take it 5am. They bring 7am when I'm preparing to move: that's when I iron my clothes.

Bro, if I see band A at N220, e pay me because it is still cheaper then fuelling generator. The generator noise won't be there anymore. Even noise from neighbour's generators dont allow me to sleep when mine is not on. Baba, I wish to be on band A o.
