God is not bound by time like humans. God sees the past, present and future all at once. Therefore, to wait for the lord in accordance to His time frame requires extreme patience. However when one waits for the lord, one's expectation should be to receive the best from the Lord. Though it might appear to tarry, in faith we know the promise of God shall SURELY come. When? At its appointed time, in relation to God's prefect timing. So ,we are left with only one choice. We will wait on the Lord.

Those that follow Jesus Christ wholeheartedly shall be PERSECUTED. Why? A follower of Jesus Christ is an enemy of the world. What such people advocate, contradicts the ways of the world. However, such people fret not because their rewards shall come from above when due. A student that has been assured of a well paying job post education remains calm at study time. For they know what to work for and then step into a what has been promised to be their inheritance. In the case. It is the kingdom of Heaven. They shall overcome.

A student that does not pay attention during lecture and revision session before examination, will find out the hard way the importance of giving attention to detail in life. A 100-metre sprinter that is not focus on his or her lane, and crosses into another lane will experience disqualification. It is not how fast one goes, but consistency and direction that truly matters. Slow progress in the right direction will always beat rushing towards nowhere. When it comes to spiritual and personal growth, pacing oneself ensures one enjoys the process and avoid burnout.

Prov 4:20-21 (NIV)
My son, pay attention to what I say; turn your ear to my words. Do not let them out of your sight, keep them within your heart.

It is not what goes into the body that defiles but what comes from within. Allowing bad thoughts to enter one’s heart over time can corrupt character, poison relationships and severely impact physical and mental wellbeing. This can turn into corrupt talk coming out from the mouth from within the heart. No wonder, King David requested a clean and new heart from God in Ps 51. For a good heart equals good health to one’s whole body, spiritual and physical alike. (Pro 4:22-23).

Distractions, whether from worldly worries, anxiety or misplaced priorities creates the need to maintain focus on eternal values and anchor one’s time in prayer. Because such wise structured lifestyle empowers one to be steadfast in all one’s ways. Not turning from the right or left, stable like a rock and keeping one’s foot from evil.

Imagine a child from a very tender age, is thought on how to adopt these lifestyle principles. Teaching them in the way of the Lord. So that, when they grow up, they will not depart from it.

Luke 4:16
Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them , for the Kingdom of God belongs to such as these.

Whoever hinders children from growing in the knowledge of God and adopting these good ways, will be hindered from entering the kingdom of God. Why? Because they have increased the risk of the child growing up without a moral anchor or spiritual guidance. A parent that does not teach their children to follow God, the world will eagerly disciple them in rebellion (Jah Michael x 21).

PRAYER
As leave our homes tomorrow morning and step on the holy ground of our various parishes, Jehovah God will impact our children with divine wisdom, knowledge and understanding from above, that will enable them to be successful in this life and the life beyond. Amen IJCMN

A domesticated big dog can easily overcome its human owner, if need be. But it chooses not to use this strength. Can one overcome God? Definitely not. Can one choose to disobey God? Yes, of course. The feeling of emotional despair is not alien to mankind. Life is always full of up and downs. Like a woman enduring child birth pain and having to undergo such pain before having another child. A necessity that cannot be avoided. In such situations, one places trust in God's faithfulness, to carry one through the Red sea of life. The pain will become a forgotten memory of the past and the future shall yield praising God for the good things He has done. In farming, planting is hard work. But after all the tough work, to have locust come and devastate the work is classed a disaster. May that not be our portion in Jesus Christ mighty name. Amen. Then, the Lord of heaven and earth removes the locust and promises restoration of what the Locust had devastated. Such promise is called good news, which generates praises to the Almighty God (Joel 2:25-26).
In times like these, post restoration, people tend to become too complacent and most times, fall back into what brought disaster in the first place. The God who knows the end from the beginning promises the below.

Joel 2:28
“And afterward, I will pour out my Spirit on all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy,
your old men will dream dreams, your young men will see visions.

God will do the required, so that his people will not be like a dog that returns to its own vomit, and a pig after washing itself, returns to the wallow in the mire. Jah Michael x 21. Then, when the Holy Spirit comes, the people of God will not pray amiss. As the spirit will teach them to pray in accordance to the will of God. And they shall call upon their God, and be delivered out of Mount Zion and in Jerusalem (Wherever they place their feet).

Without the Holy Spirit, in vain is man. Because when live is good, the devil is always around the corner. Testing, luring and tempting the saints out of God’s will. After baptism, Jesus Christ was led into the wilderness by the spirit of God. Was tempted 3 times by the devil and overcame.

Luke 4:12
Jesus answered, “It is said: ‘Do not put the Lord your God to the test.”

The devil had no choice but to leave. Why? Because Jesus was in the Power of the Spirit of the most High God. Teaching and spreading the good news everywhere. He was anointed to proclaim the good news to the poor. To set the captive free. Open the eyes of the blind and fulfilling the purpose for which he was sent.

PRAYER
As we leave our homes this morning and step on the holy ground of our various parishes. We shall go into the presence of the Lord restored, anointed, renewed and empowered to do the will of God for which we were born.

Sodom and Gomorrah's various sins enabled God to classify them ripe for destruction. Burning sulfur and fire from heaven did the job. This morning, the kind of fire we need from above is the fire of the Holy Spirit, that will enable us to do good deeds at all times. The culture to oppress the needy has to go and a world where fair justice for all is established has to come. The rich not taking advantage of the poor for personal gain. A world where everyone acts as a unit, to interrupt evil cycles and hold the powerful accountable is advocated. Then, we shall be called God's people and the Lord shall be our God. In essence, we shall be called a holy nation, where God (righteousness) reigns. Why? Because doing the right things has become our culture

When the foundation is destroyed, what can the righteous do? Not much but to go back to basics and establish a solid foundation. A dog that is not domesticated early in life, shall become a handful for those that keep it. A person who doesn't incorporate the fear of God when relating with others, mostly likely, will turnout to be a regret to those that interact with them. The fear of God should be the base from which one engages the world. Getting this foundational knowledge in place is key.

Jesus Christ gave more value to the widows mite over what the supposed rich people gave. Why? The widows offering was deemed sacrificial while the rich people's offering was deemed as just casual giving. A sacrificial gift given willingly without grudge from the heart is a sweet smelling aroma before God. The Lord values the altitude behind the gift more that the amount. Giving with joy, enthusiasm and willingly carries much value in the sight of God. A cheerful giver they are called.

Same goes with the gospel. If it is not preached into the hearing of the people, how will they be informed. Knowledge is power. The more one knows about something, they position themselves in a better place to apply it to their life. The gospel of christ cannot stay indoors, but be taken out of the box for people to see and feel. Then, the choice to believe and receive Christ as Lord and saviour becomes easier. When the flesh is weak but the spirit is willing, all is not bad. However, if the flesh stays week for a long period of time, this can have a negative influence . The flesh profit nothing. The flesh came from dust and will return to dust. No trader goes to the market and wishes to have an unprofitable day. So, the remedy is to pray for a willing spirit that will overcome the flesh. Then one decrees, not my will but the will of God. Be rest assured, the will of God always prevails.

So, the choice is simple. We MUST walk inline with the Spirit

TOPIC: THE SPIRIT OF CALEB

It is very rare to see anyone claim immunity from life's ups and downs. King Solomon enjoyed life to the fullness but ended acknowledging the meaningless of life.(Eccl 12: "Vanity, all is Vanity", he said .

Life consists of a variety of spiritual valleys. Some have short life spans while some can last a long period of time. Whatever the duration, our prayer is that they don't go beyond what we can bear(1 Cor 10:13). Amen IJCMN 🙏

Is there anyone who desires to go through the valley of the shadow of death, voluntarily? I guest not. But most of the time, such journeys are inevitable. Especially, if one wants to follow Jesus. It comes with the package. In such times, the presence of God, front and back is needed, as a pillar of cloud by day and a pillar of fire by night. So that the Egyptians that are pursuing us will face obstacles and eventually drown in the Red Sea.

Now we are out of the Red sea and found out that the journey of 11 days is taking longer that expected. But discouragement is not an option. We have Caleb as a good example to emulate.

Numbers 13:30
Then Caleb silenced the people before Moses and said, "WE should go up and take possession of the land, for we CAN certainly do it."

KEYPHRASE: We can certainly do it.

Probably, this declaration of Caleb set the tone for which King David said in Ps 23:4. No fear of evil when the Lord is with us. If God be for us, WHO can be against us? No one.

Jesus Christ said, if one can have faith the size of a mustard seed, we can move mountains (Matt 17:20) . Remaining stagnant can never be an option. The only solution is to get to the next level , out of the valley of the shadow of death. One step at a time. The results may appear insignificant but we MUST keep forging ahead. Our catalyst should be to increase the level our faith, to do GREATER exploits, by growing "FROM GLORY TO GLORY " Then, we can testify in the end like Caleb, as we possess our HEBRON and surrounding HILLS.

PRAYER
This morning, our Father who art in Heaven. We come before You acknowledging that You are the God of the Hills and the Valleys. We give you all the glory. Be exalted in Jesus Christ mighty name. Amen IJCMN 🙏

Father, every spiritual valley that is positioned to hold us captive. Every valley of delay, fear of unknown, stagnation or low level living in the spiritual realm, that seeks to diminish individuals and collective destinies. We are more than conquerors through Christ who strengthens US. We asked for the Anointing and "different spirit " of Caleb to fall upon US today. Today, shall receive fresh anointing to overcome and conquer every spiritual valley. We shall not settle for less. We shall not be overwhelmed. We shall nor be limited. We shall possess our possession. We shall win the battle of life. We shall be consistently victorious. Amen IJCMN 🙏

The energy, respect and effort one puts into something or someone sets the standard for how others will value and treat it around you or even in your absence. It all starts with the sample you set.This truth aligns with how one honours Jesus Christ inwardly. The world will eventually notice it and follow suit or keep at bay. When this happens, true believers should not become arrogant, aggressive or combative when living out or sharing their faith. Instead, the armour used must be LOVE, HUMILITY AND KINDNESS. Against just spiritual armour, the evil ones and sceptics stay away. Because though they may not change their stand towards our faith. Still, they will not have anything bad to say about the faith through us. They will only find themselves in limbo and most probably, later on in a better place to reconsider our faith. For this reason,
Brethren. Let's continue to revere Christ as Lord.

God’s words are always faithful and true. He will always do what he said he will do. The promise to gift the whole land of Canaan to the descendants of Abraham was about to take place (Gen 17:. First things first, God had to take the Israelites out of an undesirable place called Egypt. He is all knowing. God knows the end from the beginning. He knew the people he was about to lead out of Egypt. Though they were Hebrews, they had become naturalised Egyptians to a great extent. A nation that had been subdued for over 400 years, are not the best people to put in a place, where there is a possibility of war. God in His infinite wisdom, disregarded the shorter route through the Phillistine country and choose the longer route through the desert towards the Red Sea (Ex 13:18). God ways are mysterious. But with Elohim, all things are possible. With the presence of Lord as a pillar of cloud by day and a pillar of fire by night. Such journey for God is a done deal. Glory be to God in the Highest!

Neither the pillar of cloud by day nor the pillar of fire by night left its place in front of the people.

The journey through the Red Sea proceeded smoothly, easily and without any obstacles or difficulties for the Israelites. But the same cannot be said for the journey through the wilderness. A journey that was supposed to take 11 days took 40 years. God made them wander in the wilderness for 40 years because of unbelief. The curse of Numbers 14:28-30 took effect. God ensured that the entire disobedient adult generation died in the wilderness, allowing a new, trusting generation to enter the promised Land. Those that had too much Egypt in them perished in the wilderness of Sinai.

God’s mercies endure forever. Though his anger is but for a moment, His favour is for life (Ps 30:5). He commanded the Levite priest to carry the Ark of the Covenant ahead of his people. The Priest stood firm on the dry ground in the middle of the riverbed, while the estimated 2 to 3 million Israelites cross the Jordan river.

In that same River Jordan, the Son of God choose to be baptised by John the Baptist. The heaven opened and the voice of heaven declared, “This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased”. (Matthew 3:17)

Faith and obedience remain our only option in relating with God. We ought to follow His leading, always. With the Lord at our back and front. Our past errors have been erased forever and God’s promised for a prosperous future shall be ours. Amen IJCMN

PRAYER

We live in a world that is full of hostility. Where people prefer falsehood over the truth. As long as it looks pleasing outside, it's all good to some The message of the gospel is God's good intention for humanity. Therefore, speaking the truth should not generate fear. But if that happens, ask God for the Holy Spirit to cast out fear and replace it with boldness. Such prayers, the Good lord grants. He makes one a vessel through which He achieves purpose. He WILL speaks through us .

The bible wasn't entirely clear on the specifics on why God told Abraham to leave his father's country. But God always knows best and to get the best out of life, trusting in God's perspective is wise. Are you at crossroads and afraid to take that step forward? Don't rely on self but trust in God. He is always able to deliver those who trust in HIM.

"Show me your associates (friends) and I will show you who u are" is an adage that is a good way to evaluate a person's character. Though not in its entirety. However, those one spends quality time with can have great influence on how we live and think.. If you hang around poor people, poverty will begin to look the norm and motivation to better oneself becomes a challenge. Therefore, associating with the wise remains the best option. Those that frown on lifestyles that the Bible states are wrong. Moving with such people, overtime, develops principles that makes one achieve potential.

Faith is inward conviction and outward confession in an entity. In this context, the entity is Jesus Christ as Lord and saviour. Whenever one calls upon the name of the Lord in spirit and in truth, he hears, listens and acts upon one's request accordingly. Sometimes, beyond what we ask or think of. Or sometimes, giving one what is needed and not what is wanted. Either way, Jesus Christ comes to the rescue and delivers the best outcome. Especially, when salvation is required. Jesus Christ shall not lose any of us as we call upon him continually (John6:39).

How can they believe in one who they gave not heard of? (Rom 10:15). People perish due to lack of knowledge. Back in the day, this is what I learnt about mosquitoes. Immediately, one mosquito finds access through a window net, it goes back though the access to inform other mosquitoes. Before u know it, the house is full of mosquitoes. Believers can adopt this same approach to evangelism. The more the merrier. Build on the numbers, make yourself visible and be vocal about the gospel of christ, which is the salvation of souls. No Christ, no life. No Christ means living in vain. Let's make evangelism a priority.

The Lord is our shepherd because He cares. As we continue to hallow the holy name of our father who art in heaven, we remain in his good book. The prodigal son repented and was given a grand banquet by the father (Luke 15:23). As we step on the holy grounds of our parishes today, the word of God shall instruct and teach us in the way we should go( Ps 32:. The holy spirit is our counsel, which drastically reduces us from stepping out of God's will. This morning we shall worship in expectation of good benefits. Why? Because we know, God cares.

When Moses fled Egypt and began tending the flock of his father in-law Jethro. Little did he know what God had in store for him. God was already preparing him for the big task ahead. Who best can the Lord choose and use to tender his people Israel out of Egypt. Of course, Moses, who had been tendering flock for 40 years.

To tender flock is to care, manage and protect sheep from harm coming from dangerous animals. To do this kind of work, one had to possess the spirit of compassion. This caring spirit is what made Moses investigate a bush that was on fire, but did not burn up. There he received his assignment till death took him. Thank God, Satan was not permitted to touch or take the body of Moses.

So now, go. I am sending you to Pharaoh to bring my people the Israelites out of Egypt.”

Egypt represents sin. God hates sin but does not hate the sinner. How can God take a sinner out for sin? How can God take his people out of misery into a good and spacious land, flowing with milk and honey. Out of the broad way into the narrow path. That is the will of God for me and you. Amen IJCMN

Moses failed in taking the people into the promised land. Joshua did, but he could only take the Israelites out of Egypt but could not take the Egypt out of the Israelites. How can God take sin out of man?

John 16:13
But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all the truth. He will not speak on his own; he will speak only what he hears, and he will tell you what is yet to come.

KEYPHRASE: What is yet come?

As gold goes through fire and come out shinning brighter. So, it is with the Holy Spirit in the life of a believer. It burns like fire every spiritual debris within a believer. It produces godly character such as love, joy peace, patience and self-control. The HS guides believers into understanding God’s truth and word. The HS acts as a counsellor, providing comfort in difficult times and interceding in prayer. The HS enables us to live a life that glorifies God. That is what is yet to come. As we receive the promised of Jesus Christ, the Holy Spirit

PRAYER

FISHING OUT
Even the Disciples caught nothing all night, when they went out fishing. Jesus Christ told them to throw their net on the RIGHT side of the boat. He said they will catch SOME, not all the fish. (John 21:3-6)

Fishing for souls in a hostile world is no easy task. All we can do is to keep on fishing. We cannot look back at Sodom and Gomorrah, then end up like Lot's wife. The Paul and Apollos concept remains the way to go. Keep fishing and never forget self in the process.

One of the worst ways to hurt a family of a dead person is not to handover the dead body to the relatives. Such act goes against the notion of primary human dignity. The body of Jesus Christ was missing and suddenly he shows up among his disciples declaring PEACE. That will be pure ecstasy and joy emitting from the heart of the disciples. Jesus Christ is alive. Meaning, there is life after dead and the mission to share the gospel of Jesus Christ is continual. As Christ was sent ,so we are sent to spread the gospel of love, peace, salvation and truth to a hostile world in the power of the Holy Spirit.
