Hello my people. Update: remember I told you I registered with a community health centre which is managed by MT Vernon hospital. I had a doctor's appointment today. Getting to the admin, I met a different lady who said I can't see a doctor for prenatal if I dont have an insurance. I explained to her that I have gone passed the insurance issue before my doctor's appointment for today. That am doing self paid. She insisted that self pay is never possible for pregnant women. After much argument she insisted I see a pre care instructor. I saw the lady explained to her that am visiting and I just want have my baby on self pay. She understood me quite alright and called admin tha they should allow me see the doc on self pay. I paid 20$ to see the doctor. I showed them my reports from nigeria and the doctor said at 35wks they usually repeat all the test. She did some her self. So many test up to 7. Then I was sent to the lab for blood test and about 12 bottles of my blood was taken. At the end they said my bill is 20$. I thanked my God so far for being faithful. According to them, the health centre is for the poor( which one concern me) but managed by mount Vernon neighboring hospital. They take delivery at the hospital wen am due. We were advice to go to the hospital to discuss pay for delivery. Hopefully next week will go to the hospital. An so I waka ..... 3 Likes |

Thanks to very one for their contributions. Am currently in new york and am due next month. Gone round some hospitals and it's quiet strange to them that I don't want any insurance even when they strongly feel I qualify because am pregnanT. It took me time to convince My uncle am sTaying wiTh the legal inplications of Medicare. He even registered me and they sent the documents to the house. I had to call them to cancel it that I don't need it. Now am attending atenatal at the community health hopital and was told that on the day of delivery I will use mont vernons hospital that's were they do delivery and all my records will be sent to them. Hope to see a doctor this week. Yet to know the cost. plssssss does any body no about the hospital? One of the social workers that I met said a lady had CS for 5000$ at Jacobi hospital in Yonkers. Plsssss does any one know about the hospital and how much normal delivery will cost. Also any other hospital with good cost between 2-3000$ will be fine. Thank you. 1 Like 1 Share |
