Politics / Nigerian Doctors Held Surprise Free Medical Outreach For Peter Obi At Festac by Youngadvocate(m): 1:11pm On Nov 13, 2022 |
Nigerian doctors, last two weekends, surprised the people of Festac Town, Lagos with a free medical outreach, in the area. It was a very impressive outing which featured several medical interventions including medical consultation, diagnosis, treatment, and Eye Glasses all for FREE! The beautiful moment brought Nigerians of different ethnic divides and religious leanings to share in the happiness. Hi guys, and thanks for keeping this thread running. I'm intensely pursuing moving away from Nigeria with preferred destinations as Canada, USA, Australia, or Germany. I've tried with the US but failed to secure a visa. I'm now more interested in trying out Canada. After all, I was still going to head over to the country if I succeeded with the US visa. I heard Saskatchewan is one of the cheapest and easiest cities to gain access into in Canada. I don't want to go through school as I don't have huge financial backing for that end. I'm a Team Lead in a Fintech company in Nigeria with a freelance-side hustle as a Digital Marketer + Content Writer. I wish to secure a job in the city of Saskatchewan to be able to secure a visa. I really do not like illegal migration. Pls, can anyone help a brother? I need help in either securing a job over there or on other easier ways to migrate to the city. PLS, GUYS. THANK YOU! 1 Like |
Religion / Why Do Nigerians Attach More Importance To First Sunday? by Youngadvocate(m): 9:15am On May 02, 2021 |
Churches in Nigeria, on First Sundays, record high attendance. In some churches, e dey be like say na carnival. The inside is filled to the brim with overflows. The roads in Lagos are nearly dry and dead in the mornings of First Sunday, different than other Sundays. Residential areas, look exactly residential on First Sunday. Less or no noise pollution, except say na the shouts and singing wey dey come from nearby churches. There's less emissions of generator fumes destabilizing the atmosphereee, unless say na di smoke wey dey comot from the generator wey di church dey use. There's practically calm and tranquil atmosphere unless a church is built around. More so, the rush and rough drives early in the morning, and the long horrible traffic jam in the afternoon after church dismissal show how much and well people attend church service on the first Sunday. It goes to show that Nigerians attach so much importance to First Sundays than other Sundays. I've tried to figure this out, but e no fit gel. I no fit just explain why. Na why I dey ask, "Why Do Nigerians Attach More Importance to First Sunday than other Sundays?" Abeg, make we shook mouth for this matter my pipul. Cc: Lalasticlala, Mynd44 OAM4J |
Romance / Man Wey Smoke Weed For Di First Time At 57 Year's Don Kolo! (A True Life Story) by Youngadvocate(m): 4:38am On Dec 22, 2020 |
This is Mr Otondo. He's never smoked before, only tasted smoke from a wrapped paper when as a kid (everyone did that) He returned home from work on this Friday evening tired and hungry. He had ridden on a bike from his office back home (Sun hama am well well sha). Otondo returned to meet no food in the house. His wife went to see off her ghetto 'sugar boy' that came to 'oil her punana.' While returning, she branched off at a Beer Parlour. Well, that beer parlour is hers. It's Friday evening. So, her customers were already coming (na so Fridays dey be for there). Everyone knew Mrs Otondo was the 'man' in the house. Dem dey call Otondo her houseboy. If she wan run parole, she no dey send am. So, one day. A friend advised Mr Otondo to man-up and beat up his wife to teach her a lesson. Otondo was always afraid to talk back at his wife talk more of beating her up. "Then, the solution is to charge up," his friend suggested. "Smoke some weed, you'll get morale, his friend suggested." Otondo returned from work that Friday evening and met no one in the house. Luckily, he found something on the table in their parlour. His wife's 'sugar boy' had left some weed on the table. Just as his friend taught him, Otondo wrapped it and lighted it. After two draws, this happened. Mr Otondo was on the road stack naked, with his 'bazuka' dangling. People said he's headed to his wife's liquor to demand why she didn't cook. I couldn't follow up to know how it ended. I just don't want to marry a Beer Parlour woman. 1 Share

Travel / Re: The US Travel Ban: 6 Important Lessons For Every Nigerian Traveler by Youngadvocate(m): 3:30pm On Feb 07, 2020 |
Exactly what's on my mind. The ripple effect of the ban will soar higher than imagined. What is obvious is that it will further dampen the already dwindling reputation Nigeria has in the comity of nations. Hope it will not be so harsh on Nigerians traveling abroad when it starts rolling out 17 Likes 4 Shares |
