Politics › Chargocracy - Government Of Elite Beneficiaries by youngalex(op): 9:58am On Sep 29
I chose Democracy with a compassionate leader who understands that Government belongs to the people over a leader who is largely Chargocratic (Government of the Elite friends of the ruling class,of political office holders, their propagandists and advisers) at the expense of the people..Most unfortunate situation

Politics › 10 Serious Failures Of The Tinubu Administration by youngalex(op): 3:14am On Sep 10
NIGERIA DESERVES BETTER: 10 SERIOUS FAILURES OF THE TINUBU ADMINISTRATION

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu came into office promising Renewed Hope. Nigerians were asked to endure painful reforms today for a better tomorrow.

But Nigerians have a right to ask a simple question:

After all the sacrifices, where is the better tomorrow?

The removal of fuel subsidy was presented as necessary to save money for development. But where is the transformational investment?

1️⃣ WHERE DID THE SUBSIDY SAVINGS GO?

Instead of simply sharing additional revenues with governments, Nigeria needed a Subsidy Savings National Development Fund.

Every local government should have been targeted with four basic development centres:

✅ Skills acquisition
✅ Agro-processing
✅ Healthcare
✅ Sports and youth development

Where facilities already exist, money should fund rehabilitation and modern equipment.

We should have converted subsidy savings into permanent national assets—not simply additional government spending.

2️⃣ GOVERNMENT MUST SHARE THE SACRIFICE

How can Nigerians be asked to accept crushing living costs while government continues to spend heavily on official travel, entourages, vehicles and other privileges?

A government that asks citizens to sacrifice must first demonstrate sacrifice itself.

Cut waste. Cut extravagance. Invest the savings in the people.

3️⃣ WHERE IS THE TRANSPARENCY IN GOVERNMENT CONTRACTS?

Projects such as the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway have generated serious public questions about procurement, cost and value for money.

These questions deserve answers—not political insults.

Every major government contract should be publicly accessible:

Who got it? How much is it? Why was that company selected? What is the bill of quantities? How much has been paid? What variations have been approved?

Public money must withstand public scrutiny.

4️⃣ WHERE IS THE CONSTANT ELECTRICITY WE WERE PROMISED?

Nigerian businesses still spend fortunes on generators while households struggle with unreliable electricity.

Nigeria does not need another speech about megawatts.

We need electricity.

Solar mini-grids, gas power, industrial embedded generation, modern transmission and mass metering should become a national emergency.

5️⃣ THE MIDDLE CLASS IS BEING CRUSHED

Food. Rent. Transport. School fees. Electricity. Healthcare.

Everything is becoming more expensive while the purchasing power of salaries continues to collapse.

Economic reform should not create an economy where the rich become richer while workers become permanently poorer.

6️⃣ STOP TRYING TO TAX NIGERIANS INTO PROSPERITY

Nigeria needs more factories, more businesses, more exports and more jobs—not simply more taxes.

Grow the economy first. Then the tax base will grow with it.

7️⃣ TURN OUR NATURAL RESOURCES INTO INDUSTRIES

Why should Nigeria continue exporting raw materials and importing finished products?

Oil should create petrochemical industries.

Gas should create fertiliser and manufacturing industries.

Minerals should create processing and battery industries.

Agriculture should create food-processing industries.

Our resources must create Nigerian jobs and Nigerian wealth.

8️⃣ FOOD SECURITY MUST BECOME A NATIONAL PROJECT

Nigeria cannot defeat food inflation without dramatically increasing production.

We need irrigation, mechanisation, rural roads, storage, security and agro-processing.

Don't just give farmers temporary relief.

Build the system that makes farmers permanently productive.

9️⃣ INVEST IN OUR YOUNG PEOPLE

Every local government should have a modern vocational centre.

Train young Nigerians in:

🔧 Welding
⚡ Electrical work
☀️ Solar installation
🏗️ Construction
💻 Technology
🚜 Agriculture
🪑 Furniture manufacturing
❄️ Refrigeration

A skilled young Nigerian is not a burden on government. He is an economic asset.

🔟 NIGERIA NEEDS A 20-YEAR DEVELOPMENT PLAN

We cannot continue rebuilding Nigeria every four years.

We need a national development compact covering:

Power | Food | Jobs | Manufacturing | Healthcare | Education | Housing | Infrastructure | Security | Exports

Every administration should be measured against clear targets.

No more judging governments by speeches, slogans and ceremonies.

Judge them by jobs created.
Judge them by electricity delivered.
Judge them by food prices.
Judge them by hospitals equipped.
Judge them by industries established.
Judge them by the purchasing power of ordinary Nigerians.

🇳🇬 THE REAL QUESTION

Nigerians have been told to endure.

We have endured higher fuel prices.

We have endured higher food prices.

We have endured higher transportation costs.

We have endured higher electricity bills.

We have endured higher taxes.

But sacrifice without transformation is not development.

Nigeria does not lack resources.

Nigeria lacks accountability, disciplined leadership, strategic investment and the political courage to put national development ahead of political convenience.

We don't need a government that merely collects more money.

We need a government that turns every naira into something Nigerians can see, use and benefit from.

🇳🇬 Nigeria deserves better. Nigerians deserve better.

Renewed Hope must ultimately become renewed prosperity
Politics › Re: Why I Won't Allow A Candidate with Drug Offence Preside Me..NOT AGAIN by youngalex(op): 2:31am On Sep 02
Like i Said earlier..Any candidate whose background is unknown, academic qualifications marred in controversy and to crown it all a very huge criminal record of drug peddling has no business vying for any public office not to talk of being the president...Our National Image is at stake and we must join hands together to redeem our Nation
Politics › Why I Won't Allow A Candidate with Drug Offence Preside Me..NOT AGAIN by youngalex(op):
I have worked hard all my life from acquiring basic education up to masters degree and with over 15 years combined public and private sector service with a clean record.

Why will a Man who has been indicted in a drug related offence preside me? it defies rational reasoning and a dent on our National Image.
Politics › Re: Tinubu: A President And The Endless Question Of His Past - Peter Obi by youngalex(m): 3:33am On Sep 01
omoadeleye:
The new crop of people coming into Nigerian politics are really taking Nigerians for fools, and Peter Obi is a case study.

I remember the political climate before 2023, when presidential candidates were constantly on their toes—challenging one another’s policies, presenting alternative ideas, and debating practical ways to improve the lives of Nigerians and strengthen the economy.

But today, some of these desperate presidential aspirants seem to have very little to bring to the table.

Instead of engaging with the policies of the current government, identifying their weaknesses, and presenting better alternatives, the conversation has increasingly degenerated into distractions and unverified claims:

“The President does not have a secondary school certificate.”
“The President is a drug baron.”
“The President did not graduate.”
“The President is from Guinea.”
“The President has no secondary school classmates.”

Is this really what we have reduced presidential politics to?

If you want to lead Nigeria, tell Nigerians what you intend to do differently.

How will you improve existing policies? How will you create better alternatives to programmes such as NELFUND? How will you ensure that students who cannot afford their tuition can still access quality education? What is your plan for unemployment, inflation, healthcare, electricity, security, infrastructure and economic growth?

Challenge the government on policy. Present superior ideas. Show Nigerians that you understand the problems and have credible solutions.

Nigerians deserve presidential candidates who can engage intellectually, debate policies and offer workable solutions—not candidates whose campaigns depend primarily on cheap controversies, personal attacks and sensational claims.

The presidency of Nigeria is too important to be reduced to this.
In addition to policy debate, any candidate whose credentials is criminally related does not have any business aspiring for public office. I have never been engaged in drugs or indicted on a drug related offence, why will I allow somebody with such record preside me?
Politics › Nigerians Must Reject Monoreligious Tickets For President/Vice by youngalex(op): 6:17pm On Aug 12
Nigerians must reject in its entirety any monoreligious ticket come presidential election 2027, No Muslim/Muslim or Christian/Christian.

The current Muslim/Muslim Tinubu/Shetimma ticket is a great disservice to other religions particularly Christians and we are not voting for such.
Politics › Re: Tinubu Has Already Won 2027. So Why Are We Voting? by youngalex(m): 2:57pm On Aug 10
Please don't listen to this paid propagandist, 2027 is a battle for survival for Nigerians ..The whole world is watching,Trump and other world leaders are clamoring for a free and fair election. The Tinubu government knows all eyes is on them.
The only way they can rig is to duplicate the form EC8 and mutilate the signatures of the party agents, this can be nipped in the bud by taking a picture of the result sheets and uploading at the party's collation centre's nationwide.

If Tinubu feels he has done well, let the votes speak for him

Ritchiee:
If one of you can get these questions right,I will know you have upstairs tools.

How did he get admission into Chicago state university without pre university certificate?

How did he become an executive in Mobil oil owned by USA if he was not educated?

For your information,Mr Obi didn't attach his primary and secondary schools' certificates too.
Have rats eaten them up?
The difference is that Obi's credentials were stated in the INEC form and available for review at any time, same cannot be said for the incumbent president. We will be proceeding to Chicago State University to demand for his student file,Nigerians deserve to know what documents were used to gain admission to earn the purported degree. This level of academic insincerity reflects on the quality of his leadership,no transparency in the award of contracts, funds utilization, budget allocation etc..A Government without transparency/prudency is a calamity to the resources of the nation and its people
Politics › Re: How Did INEC Clear President Tinubu To Continue Contest Without Sec.sch Cert. by youngalex(op): 11:28pm On Aug 02
Namaster:
All you had to do was Google the Electoral Laws.
There is ZERO excuse for ignorance.

Electoral Laws says every Presidential candidate must have a MINIMUM of Secondary School Certificate.

It means the LEAST qualification for clearance is a Secondary School Certificate.

Clearly, a BSc satisfies the demands.
So does MSc.
And PhD.

NO Presidential candidate needs to present primary or secondary school records IF they can already meet the requirements by providing a university degree.

That means a candidate can submit ONLY a PhD degree and be in FULL COMPLIANCE with the law.

Hope that clears it up for you.
My brother, having a BSc without stating where other requisite qualifications were obtained raises more questions than answers. How did we get here?

Have u entered an aero plane b4, do u know where Illinois is?
Educated in an American university without a primary or secondary certificate? 🤔 chai 💔

Politics › How Did INEC Clear President Tinubu To Continue Contest Without Sec.sch Cert. by youngalex(op): 9:14pm On Aug 02
Legal luminaries and fellow Nigerians, is it possible for INEC clear a candidate to contest without the basic academic qualification? If yes, does that mean academic qualifications are irrelevant in the quest for public office?
Politics › Re: Catholic Bishops visit: Cardinal Onaiyekan's abused clerical Privileges - Ajayi by youngalex(m): 8:40pm On Aug 01
Blame Bishop Onaiyekan all you can but there is a clear message that cannot be dismissed..There is unbelivable hunger in the land and the Government is budgeting #40bn to renovate an airport runway.what a mess
The mangnitude of financial recklessness ochestarted by the Tinubu administration cannot be overemphasized at this time Nigerians are asked to tighten their belt.
Politics › Which Primary And Secondary School Did Tinubu Attend? by youngalex(op): 8:36pm On Aug 01
Nigerians are wondering why the president has failed to come clean with regards to his academic records.

Anybody without a verifiable academic background has no business in leadership.

Which primary and sec. schools did he attend?

As i walked through the streets of Lagos,Ibadan, Abuja, Anambra and Enugu, the struggles were evident..Nigerians are barely surviving with so much pain in their eyes.
When i look back,i see a decade of monumental waste by political leaders who were elected to represent the people in good faith..from Buhari's unaccounted loans,Emefieles #710bn fraud, Kyari #210trn,2025 over #54.99trn budget approved, not fully released and not transparently spent, over #1.3bn released to a phantom foreign agency, Aisha's over #10bn loot from a sitting south west Governor..the list is endless, In all these, the masses are passing through the most difficult phase of their lives. If you are reading this, please understand we are one step away from bankruptcy and that is 2027 elections, your decision is crucial to our survival as a nation. I implore you
