.....Interesting Retired Director who served mandatory 35yrs resume as assistant director In tandem with what is perceived to be President Mohammadu Buhari’s chronic cronyism, the President has secretly ordered a recall of a large chunk of retired permanent secretaries and directors in the federal civil service from the core north and promoted those who failed the civil service exams, Pointblanknews.com has learnt. Buhari had made no pretense concerning the section he favored for key, juicy appointments. Aside from the ministerial appointments which spread is guaranteed by the constitution, Buhari has told all who cared, he is comfortable with those from his section of the country All his key staff at the Villa, SGF, Defence chiefs, are al from the north. And recently no fewer than 20 very senior police officers had to be retired to give way for the Police boss. Presently, the Buhari led federal government has embarked on a secret, massive recruitment of candidates from the North who have diploma certificates (ND) and National Certificate of Education (NCE) to occupy the position of degree holders in ministries and parastatals leaving out thousands of most qualified candidates from other parts of the country. President Buhari penultimate week suspended the eight-year tenure for top civil servants in the public service paving the way for a mass return of retired northern civil servants. But his decision drew the ire of the organized labour who said that the abolition of the tenure of office for civil servants would destroy the cherished norm in the public service if not checked. One of the most astonishing cases is that of Mrs. Nana Sokwa from Bauchi State, who served the mandatory 35 years in the civil service of the Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) and retired two years ago. Pointblanknews.com gathered that she has been recalled, and has resumed as an assistant director in the Office of the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation (OHCSF). Most of those being recruited are from the North-west and North-east geopolitical zones. Pointblanknews.com investigations also reveal that two permanent secretaries who were known to have repeatedly failed promotion exams as directors were appointed permanent secretaries and assigned to ministries. The Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Petroleum, Hajia Binta Bello and the Permanent Secretary Ministry of Finance, Alhaji Mamoud Isah Duste both failed several promotion exams but were made Permanent Secretaries on the directives of President Buhari, sources told Pointblanknews.com A source who spoke to pointblanknews.com about Mrs. Sokwa said “She claimed that she was in the first place seconded to FCTA from the OHCSF. But she served her tenure under the eight-year tenure for top civil servants (Permanent secretaries and directors) and served mandatory 35 years. The ridiculous thing is that she has gone back to office of the Head of Service to resume as assistant director. Isn’t that by all standards a criminal offence? “The implication is that she has gone back there to sit on some people’s progression in the service. She is now expected to serve another 12 years to get to the position of director again and probably become perm sec and serve like eight years that will come to like 20 years. So automatically, she is starting all over again and would have spent 55 years in service usurping other people’s positions.” said our source.... http://pointblanknews.com/pbn/exclusive/buhari-recalls-retired-perm-secs-directors-north-plans-mass-sack-senior-civil-servants-south/ |

Apart from Tax in Property.....Is Linda Ikeji Blog a registered company? When last did she file tax returns statement with the Corporate Affairs Commission? If her blog is a registered Company operating for over 6 years is she eligible for a Fine for not filing tax returns?...these are pertinent questions yearning for rational responses |
This Policy is meant to benefit the Capitalist Investors and The Bank cos their Directors will be able to transact large volumes of forex and rake in abnormal profit while those who really need it will be told to keep applying or be compelled to buy almost at black market rate...They are indirectly running an OFFICIAL BDC cos even the letters of credit will now be quoted at the prevailing interbank rate...What an Economic Tragedy |
I am perturbed with the apparent refusal of some commercial banks to handle TSA(Remita) Payments,Most DIAMOND AND ZENITH BANKS here in Lagos i went for such transactions usually give me one reason or the other why they cant handle the transaction, worthy of note is their usually talk of "NETWORK CONGESTION"....This morning i visited a diamond bank branch in Okota i was told the network for remita is bad,i had to make frantic efforts to get to another bank to handle it,I suggest CBN dialogue with commercial banks to resolve this issue, its becoming very frustrating. |
Good Job...Thumbs Up EFCC,i will like the commission to be restructured as an independent agency of Govt.with prosecution powers ,the board members will include 1 executive member each of NLC,TUC,Transparency International, Amnesty International,SERAC,BudgIT,NBA and CLO..with funding from donor agencies....meanwhile where is IBRAHIM Lamorde? Former EFCC Chiarman |
Thought they said competition will force down prices in ONE MONTH...ECONOMIC NONSENSE I have ZEROED my mind to withstand all the hardship that comes with this APC led Govt. as long as am still in Nigeria. When the new price regime was announced i clarified that it will be nearly impossible for prices to go down,CAPITALIST INVESTORS in the oil and gas industry demand the maximum profit possible and yet they want to incur minimal cost insisting to be sold dollar at CBN rate through approval of their letters of credit...HEARTLESS PEOPLE |
Am happy Nigerians are beginning to hold their leaders accountable not singing praises like when it is obvious they are suffering,...This administration budgeted #100m for Constitiency Project for the Lower Chamber (House of Reps) and #200m for Senate...These people will come back and share motorcycles and sewing machine that will spoil within 1 year and tag it "Community Empowerment Programme"....So So Pathetic |
Thats where most ladies of today missed it,i saw their throwback pics how they met and fell in love in Law School...Today most Naija Ladies want no throwback pics,i don't blame them things tight |

A Nigerian-born accountant Samuel Kayode, 57, at the centre of a fraud investigation after £4m of a school fund ended up in his personal accounts. The vast sum of money is missing from the Haberdashers’ Aske’s Federation Trust in South London. The school is named after 17th century silk merchant Robert Aske who left much of his wealth to create an educational charity fund run by the Worshipful Company of Haberdashers. The Haberdashers’ Aske’s public schools for boys and girls in Hertfordshire was founded with his money. Kayode went to work at Hatcham in 1997 and rose to become accounts manager for the whole chain. He was paid £57,000 a year, and told colleagues of his work as a pastor in the Christ Apostolic Church, South London, peppering his conversations with ‘praise the Lord’. In October 2012 it emerged that a large sum of money was missing from the academies’ funds. Kayode’s assets and those of his wife Grace, who died aged 53 last year, were then frozen. It appeared that huge sums of school money had been paid into a bank account in Nigeria and a company called Samak, which is said to be run in Nigeria by Kayode’s second wife Yoni, although he denies any wedding has taken place. The trust launched a High Court case to reclaim the missing cash but the accountant denied wrongdoing and claimed ‘all transactions had been authorised by the finance director’. However, the judge found in the trust’s favour last July and ordered Kayode and the estate of his late wife to pay back more than £4million plus interest. He remains at large and is not facing any charges, although he is due to speak to detectives again this week. http://www.opinionriver.com/nigerian-accountant-steals-london-school-e4m-fund-britains-biggest-education-fraud/?utm_source=&utm_medium=twitter |

I advised one last weekend to shelve the idea of going to vacation in the US with his family to spend approx #2.5m ,they should visit obudu and spend a week cos economy is bad now and the went last year. |
the flexible exchange rate adopted yesterday was because the oil importers refused to source for forex from the parallel market, they wanted CBN to facilitate forex transaction for them @ #198 (after increasing fuel price to accommodate black market exchange differential) CBN bluntly refused thereby creating an alternative window for them... THIS APC GOVT IS MORE CAPITALIST INCLINED AT THE DETRIMENT OF THE MASSES |
Members of the National Association of Nigerian Prostitutes (NANP), say they will soon embark on a protest to register their anger at the increase in fuel pump price. The body in a statement signed by its new leader, Tamar Tion who took over after the demise of former President, Jessica Elvis, and Secretary, Sandra Efosa, said the decision to embark on the strike, stems from the fact that their business has been dwindling as their customers do not have have the money to patronize them and as such, they have been suffering untold hardship. “Some of our members charge as low as N500 and yet, the customers complain because they do not have the money. We supported President Muhammadu Buhari when he was campaigning, believing he was going to bring about the desired change. But now things have gone from bad to worse. We are bread winners in our families and some of us have lots of responsibilities. Since this government came into power, things have sky rocketed. And to add to our woes, they have increased the fuel price, making the ordinary Nigerians the worse off. We are mobilizing our members all over the country to embark on the protest on a date to be announced soon” www.nigerianbulletin.com/threads/nigerian-prostitutes-set-for-showdown-plan-mother-of-all-protest-against-fuel-hike.212306/ |
When i listened to the Minister of State for Petroleum,i knew he was lying...When i read the submissions of the Vice president he gave a more realistic scenario on the deregulation issue...The Minister of Petroleum (State) knew in actual sense that the challenges of Fuel Import is the exchange rate disparity not market liberalization...Yet he deceived Nigerians,He further impoverished the mindset of an average Nigerian by saying that competition will push prices down...I ask at what exchange rate will the oil import transaction be consummated ? It amounts to gross stupidity, apparent insensitivity and fantastic cluelessness to direct the oil importers to the parallel market where the volume of demand(forex) far outweighs the availability leading to further weakening of the Naira....i won't be suprised if the dollar/naira exchange rate shoots up to $1/#500..I AM SICK AND TIRED OF NIGERIA AND BEING A NIGERIAN |

Is he in Nigeria? Thought he is attending the world condom summit in Botswana If truly he is Back then i welcome him in good faith and urge him to stay in the Country at least for a Month to see how people are suffering PRESSING ISSUES - Persistent Fuel Scarcity...Minister of State petroleum seems to be overwhelmed at the moment on how best to tackle the lingering scarcity - Epileptic and Leprous Power Supply....The situation seems to be getting worse with the Minister of Power blaming the vandals while Nigerians suffer -Inconclusive Recovery of Funds from Corrupt/Indicted Public officers....At the moment, the EFCC,ICPC AND The Ministry Of Finance have failed woefully in telling Nigerians categorically how much has been recovered from indicted former officers,Nigerians need the figures - Inconclusive Budget...Nigerians expect the budget to be over and done with for the Country to witness meaningful progress These and many more i urge the him to critically address before attending the world solar summit in japan next month (Presumably) |
