Edubox request
|
Saw this on Twitter today apparently a company Edubox wanted to reward the most outstanding students from all states in the country, they wrote to WAEC requesting for this information, Waec's reply is preposterous. This is how good things are discouraged. Shame on WAEC Nigeria. https://mobile.twitter.com/Adeola0503/status/701710004349509633?s=04 |
Little wonder why No sense and nonsense rhymes.. |
I was posted to Imo State, can anyone post directions to the camp from owerri. |

Poor preparation contributed in no small part to this our failure, since last year November other National teams started camping activities in preparation for this world cup, Edwin Okon was begging for funds to start his too, but due to election no funds were released, the girls finally went into camp around April, I for saw the present situation then. Obviously our opponents are better prepared and know us better than we know them, the team organisation has being abysmal especially during set pieces. State activities need serious independence from politics in Nigeria. |
aresa:Mofo who did you think spear headed the whole campaign. |
It has begun |
Someone here said the SE/SS should join SW to stop the northern domination. This se/ss can do little since they have no elected senators or HOA members in the APC . The SW is in for it. |

Nawa ooo, I have always thought to myself that our compliance to manage and make the best of any situation might be a reason why we have so many unresolved issues. This confirms it. |
Onwe ofu egwu onwe nkem mazi Bright Chimezie ti gbasara ote oyibo ko wo bekee si cho imebi ife na ala Igbo, afa ego a bu "Because of english " na aka onye calabar ka mu si nwete ya, umu nwannem biko nwa awa ge egwu ahu, otutu ezi okwu no naya, owe to kwa ezigbo otu. Udo |
Omu nwannem, unu ekwugho ofuma, otutu ezi ukwo di na ihe unu dere. O toro oto nke ukwu mana achorom ka una ma na ihe mere ndi di ka unu bido udi okwu a onwero ote igbo anyi ga esi nwuo. I grew up in Lagos and in my house my strict father God bless his soul made a rule "you must reply me in the language I spoke to you in " it was largely effective, coupled with the influx of our cousins from home into our house, their was no way we wouldn't learn igbo, but my igbo took a beating in secondary school, where native languages was considered vernacular and a negative connotation was placed on native languages. I tried to go to mahadum in the east but it didn't work out, but I made sure I got IT placement in the east and I made sure I spoke Igbo any chance I got, even though I was laughed at for not getting a few things correctly I persevered and was rewarded, it was a thing of joy. We need now to look for lasting solutions to this problem, a solution that was proposed to me by a lecturer of mine was establishing formal schools that teach in Igbo, this is the reason most european countries havnt lost their languages because it has been given priority. Another thing is Igbo speaking wasn't considered cool, I don't know why but I have heard that a lot from igbo people in Lagos, but phyno, ruff coin and some other musicians are making it cool and I see it bringing igbo speakers who share the love for their music together, personally I have approached people listening to Igbo rap and I always speak to them in Igbo and they usually reply, also I was at a party in Calabar and Phyno's song came on and he opened the song with a phrase "anyi na nwu champagne ha ka na nwu panadol " everyone in the party chorused it, this showed the huge role mass media has to play in making our languages strong. I also think we should establish an Igbo social network to unite Igbo's worldwide and bring up issues such as this. |
Our attitude of remaining silent when most important is so bad, while the leaders are in office that is when we are suppposed to speak out and be very vocal not when it's re-election, we end up wasting four years . |
I love thiz forum, lots of sound minds and ideas, but these need to be implemented we cannot just be arm chair commentators we have to act as well. Obviously the government officials are not as sound as most people here we definitely cannot keep calling them our leaders. We need to be our own leaders. |
Our place citizens isn't to choose sides, we have to criticizes these officials collectively. For me their's no difference between Apc and Pdp they are just two sides of the same coin .. |
The centre defence pairing against Namibia seemed more solid and they handled coleman well, I love Ebi but I think she should sit this one out. The no. 4 shirt is special in our football history, Kanu and now Nkwocha, I would like her or Ordega to start ahead of Sunday, in the last game Nkwocha played more as a playmaker and she shone her touches and passes where too sweet, while ordega seems more refined and calm on the ball she has really matured no over dribbling like Sunday, she passes well and is more clinical . Cant wait for the game . |
Tomis14:When politicians and public officials buy cars like this, do you remember to ask this question ? |

Thank God I didn't miss this game, the continuity in the female team is awesome, I can remember watching okobi, ordega and numerous others in the youth teams. They where very dangerous on set pieces their passing (Ayinde is a midfield marshall) was solid though there was some shaky moments from the defence. Perpetua's goal was class, if you didn't see it you missed. its pains me that people who deserve commendation in Nigeria don't get it, this women have always given their best when called but its obvious that their league and the team isn't well financed and isn't getting the recognition it deserves, the pride I feel whenever I watch them, I wish in my lifetime I find a way to assist the women's game. Super Falcons all the way ... #bringbackthecup |
Am seeing a lot of people saying this ain't news, it can only stop being news when their is change in the situation and he is talking because their is no change yet. it's so sad that hearing such things cannot spur anger in our minds and make us demand for change, this is signs of a dysfunctional society, we Nigerians are allowing ourselves get desensitised to evil and we are accepting it as normal. We cannot allow the voice of good to fade we have to keep speaking out against the evils of corruption its the only way we can get better. Gutted to see Okey Bakassi's name, I had loads of respect for the dude not anymore though. |
If you believe a crime has been committed (I believe a crime has been committed) do what you can to assist the mother to get the child back. The crime was committed in the UK so she has to report it there. If you feel strongly about this case spread the word with you facebook let the grandma come out and share her own story. Anette Ehiemere show yourself.

Emodeee:Started reading but your ignorance was too bright, I couldn't see again. Why do you believe ladies are the most immoral? You have no facts to back that claim up. If you really go by what you see everyday you will know that men are more immoral and are actually the ones setting the environment to be this way. |
