SportsRe: Amodu : Can He Lead Supereagles To 2010 W/cup? by youngbest(m): 1:41pm On Nov 18, 2009
Sagamite:
Did Kenya play like a distraught team?

Your likes are the ones screaming he could not beat Mozambique, did Tunisia not lose to mozambique when it even mattered the most (and they had ONLY ONE shot on goal).

12 games, 9 wins, 9 clean sheets, 3 draws, No game lost, 20 goals scored, 5 goals conceded in 12 games and a WC ticket is not horrible by my standards.

FACT: No other team IN AFRICA has a better qualifying statistics bar goals scored/conceded statistics. NO OTHER TEAM.

Even Brazil has a worse qualifying record for WC 2010 to this.

The draw with Mozambique made us unnecessarily condemn Amodu and put pressure on his team despite having being magnificent in the first 6 games (although some fools were condemning him even then).

Second time he is qualifying us for a WC.

His only failure so far in my opinion is not instilling hunger in these passionless players.

I maintain he would have been a national hero if not for the slowpoke called Taye Taiwo, if the scores had read Nig 2 - Tun 1.

Take a look at the fool that let a player jog past him and could not be bothered to chase afterwards.

[flash=400,350]http://www.youtube.com/watch/v/9uQzur0DsIg&feature/related[/flash]

I agree with this though.
bro if amodu can get dat kind of result wit his incompetence
iagine wat a better coach can do
heck we could beat chelsea
lemme tell u y i feel amodu isnt fit 2 b our coach
remeber d friendlies against ireland and france
coach amodu changed his backline
they were superb they isolaated anelka and benzema
this guy sodje was like a commander
he used his experience to command d defence and it clearly showed he was better the yobo
then against kenya he used them we won 3-0 plus the defence was solid
then against tunisia he panicked an brought back taiye taiwo and yobo
u can remember how tunisia scored dere first goal our center defenders yobo particularly was sleeping
the second goal was from taiye taiwo
after persistently leaving his wing open
he still left it open in d last 5 minutes
and we know wat happened too
my own is if he cant stand by his decisionns
and by performances of players we dont need him,
clearly u saw d defence was very bad against kenya
especially father yobo
who was no where to be fond during the build up to the first goal
then the midfield, he keeps playing olofinjana when there is etuhu
d attack he keeps playing aiyegbeni inspite of his lackluster performances
he nearly lost dat goal against kenya its God dat helped us
and dere is nsofor sitting down on d bench
amodu is looking at face
looking at face wont give you victoryyyy

I swear the u21 attackers with Hadhria, dhaouadi, msakni, ayari, jdaied would have scored goals. FUCKING PUSSIES. mess jemaa, he was afraid in the whole fucking match. i could see his dark face turn YELLOW!. Where’s was the heart and grinta as they say. THEY WERE HORRIBLE. the only players that made me proud was Mikari and balbouli. The only two who showed heart. THE PLAYERS IN THE DOMESTIC LEAGUE IS BETTER THAN these pussies who’s benched in there respecive teams. OMG I’m going to kill someone. But in the end i can only laugh. I mean they looked like a bunch of scared juniorplayers on the field. NO TALENT AT ALL. from now on they should play with these u21 players that i mentioned above, with mikari, haggui and chikhoui, chermiti. mess THE REST FUCKERS.

Beamer:
You know, it was all bittersweet especially since I would have preferred the Super Eagles to be at South Africa than the Tunisians. But at the same time, even a win for us today wouldnt have hepled us as long as Mozambique beat Tunisia.

Kenya had a local coach (Francis Kimanzi) during the first phase of the qualifiers then they appointed a foreigh coach (Antoine Hey) for the second round of qualifers.

He dropped some key players for our first match against Tunisia, introduced 'Commitment Letters' for players to sign before going into camp, banned players from one of our teams -Mathare United- from camp, dropped Dennis Oliech for the return match against Tunisia. Did everything to kill our hopes (of reaching the Cup of Nations),  we weren't even aiming for the World Cup.

We lost all the matches except the home match against Mozambique. The foreign coach destabilized a team that was gelling. Believe it or not, he boycotted the match against Nigeria since he was ordered by the Football Federation to call some players such as our star striker Dennis Oliech (who scored the first goal in today's match).

Those people who are calling for the removal of Amodu should really be careful.

Sometimes football isnt all about the tactics. Sometimes it is also about luck and what the eleven men on the pitch can do. The eleven players on the pitch today against Kenya didnt give up even when they were a goal down at half time. Even when the Kenyan crowd seemed quite hostile. They still did the business.

Perhaps we can always remember the story of Antoine Hey and the Kenyan experience when you think about hiring a foreign coach.
i know all about this
what we will do we wont hire d type of forign coach
kenya fa hired we will hire a coach who cares abt his intergrity,

NFA/NFF don't have the balls to fire Amodu 'cos they have to find a reason and except they go radical, we may be stuck with Shaibu.

Under normal circumstances, one would expect the coach that got them through the qualification to take them to the WC but kai with Amodu, we will get thunked. In and OUT!

Guus Hiddink is the man for the job if russia fail to progress.
as a milan boy
first time i saw hiddink
he reminded me of ancelloti
and i knew he was gonna be good

FBS, letz be honest with ourselves.

Amodu lacks tactical nous to take us to the world cup.
Trust me, there are many brilliant managers jobless in Europe as we speak.
Juande Ramos, Felipe Scolari, Avram Grant, Louis van Gaal and a host of others will be dying to take the job from NFA.

If we get the right manager, we should be OKAY.

Mate, I can list a few but that is irrelevant.

What is important for you to know is that my self development, my intelligence, my sagacious understanding of cause-effect-affect of behaviours in a society, my objectivity would not render me a chance to think AT THAT LEVEL and support such blatant disgrace.

That is why you will not see me defending a Yoruba crook because he is from my tribe with lame statements like "why is it only Yoruba corrupt officials they are locking up".

I would happily see that all the crooks and criminals from MY VILLAGE are locked up even if others from elsewhere are let go as long as the ones from my village are guilty of their crimes.

That applies to my national team. As I said, my intelligence would not let me think with such village mentality.
u should hav listed a few cos dats wat i want u 2 do
if naija carry legitl u-17 we cant win d competition u know dat dont u?
and wen we take legit u-17 and we start losing

Sagamite:
My introductory background profile if I get an opportunity to interview Okoro:

Stanley Okoro, the 16 year old Nigerian wonderkid mega-football star, was a first team player with Bendel Insurance from 2005 - 2008 (hence he started playing for them at the young age of 12 years old) and scored 25 goals in 50 matches when he was a pre-teen child playing in Nigeria's top league with awon Ogbologbos.

Now, the 16 year old Stanley Okoro is a regular for Heartlands playing week-in, week-out in the premiership at the age of 16 and one of their key players in the Champions League at the tender age of just 16 years old.

Amazingly, their is also a claim, unverifiable for now I must admit, that the 16 year old Stanley Okoro played for Enugu North junior team in 2002 when he was in SS1/2. So he was apparentlly in SSS at the age of 9 years old.

16 year old Stanley Okoro is really a fine example of an All-Nigerian teenager that no All-American teenage wonderkid can match.  grin

AFRICA IS GREAT!!!
