Dangote Refinery agreed to sell petrol directly to its members, ending the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited’s (NNPCL) role

The Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria (IPMAN) has announced that its members will lower petrol prices by N50 per litre when buying directly from Dangote Refinery.

Abubakar Maigandi, IPMAN’s National President, announced the news in an interview with Channels Television on Tuesday.

He stated that Dangote Refinery had agreed to supply petrol to IPMAN members at a rate of N940 per litre for depots and N990 per litre for trucks.

According to Maigandi, under this arrangement, IPMAN members who currently sell petrol for between N1,150 and N1,200 per litre will reduce their prices by N50, depending on location.

“Presently, we have been given two different arrangements on how to buy fuel from the refinery,” he noted. “There’s one where we can load the vessels and carry them to our various depots at the rate of N940 per litre. Then, for the depots, it is at the rate of N990 per litre.”

In Maiduguri, for instance, Maigandi mentioned that “the current price is N1,200 per litre. With these changes, it may likely reduce to N1,150, which is a reduction of N50. So that’s N1,150; it may even be below that.”

It's the truck pushing waste-collection guys (predominantly young Northerners) that dispose of their wastes in this place. They don't have a place to dispose of the trash after collecting it from households and business places!

Sir, I'm a concern resident of Arab road Kubwa, Bwari Area Council in FCT. We've been faced with this pandemic of bola (These boys carrying waste from home to home) dumping waste on the road. To be precise, The bridge that connects Chikakaore, Byazhin, Dantata estate and it environs to the express.

This act is health threatening Mr Minister considering the fact that, they are people living around that place. Please something should be done as soon as possible. And something should be done to tame these miscreants. Because there are several reports of people been robbed at night there. Maybe the place should be light up with solar lights

This is ARAB ROAD- KUBWA in Bwari Area council. Abuja. This road leads to several estates including the likes of Dantata Estate. But see what Bola (Local waste carries) have turned this beautiful bridge into. They'll go around picking waste from people houses,Then dump it there. One can't even use the pedestrian anymore because it's covered with waste.

It's an eye sore. Knowing we've people in authority that passes through this route but do nothing about this baffles me.

Please I wish this can get to people responsible for evacuating waste in Bwari Area council of Abuja. Because the dirt on that bridge is a threat to health. People's homes are less than 20-50 meters from the bridge. You can then imagine flies coming out from the waste on the bridge to people's homes.

And these Bola boys needs to be call to order.

I have been gambling since around 2014 and never for once have I ever decided to quit despite destroying my life, career, relationships, and self esteem. It was as if I was cursed with it. I was so addicted to gambling that I'd rather gamble with my money than to buy cloths on my body. I've read so many stories here on nairaland from people who suffered similar faith, but I'd be looking out for comments from people who would say gambling isn't that bad just to encourage myself. Now I'm at level zero. I have no job, no money, no relationship, but friends who are also addicts. I'm cutting them off.

I believe it's not too late for me to make it in life, so I'm believing in God for miracles. Some people might think i can still relapse when i make some money, but so help me God I won't. I have eradicated anything that'd remind me of gambling, deactivated my betting account and focusing on how to make my life better. Betting can never get you rich. It is what I've come to realize anyways.

I don't want to ever return to gambling even when I make enough money. Right now I'm just looking for money to eat and survive.

I hope those going through same would take that bold step and come out of that shell of bondage. It is well.
