Thank you very much abeg last question is it only one Nigerian they accept each year cause i dont understand what they mean by reserved quota

They wouldn't specify by country....just do your best with the application, submit, go on your kneel and start praying to God. It is highly competitive due to the benefits attached but people from Nigerian and other African countries are getting so you can get it as well. God is a favourable God.

You can print your bank statement from anywhere, it doesn't necessarily have to be in Lagos.

It does state to be from the state of application except if that has changed. I stand be corrected if I am wrong though. You can always call them(Embassy) directly if there is anything you need to know. That is always advisable.

Thank you very much for even replying, i want to apply for the Korean government scholarship but i want to know if these grades are acceptable and if anyone knows people who have been accepted with equal or lower grades than mine

This is difficult to answer cos it's very competitive and there are two tracks (University and Embassy tracks)....but in general the result is quite average and it is not a bad idea giving it a shot.

Please, can you also suggest the best courier service to use in sending one's documents to SK?

@judith989, if you don't mind answering, which school did you apply for?

I used TnT which is sub of FedEx since they have merged. It took about 3-5 working days...you can always always ask them before sending. You will be told the worst case scenario.

I hope it helps.

That's someone else, my question is if these scores or lower have been accepted by the kgsp

I don't understand your question. Please re-phrase for better understanding.

Thank you. In that case I have to print all necessary bank statements in Lagos...right?

Yeah..you are correct and please check when you have to print it...can't remember if it must be within 2-5 days prior to your application..so kindly check to confirm this.

Check out Gwanju Institute, that's where I'm applying to. They have scholarship for all international students, and application is currently on.

Please, who can help me with how to write a SOP

SOP is a very crucial part of your application and from my experience most questions will be around it...not so in some cases. You can use an online help to learn how to write good SOP. I quite understand it might be difficult knowing how to write one but it is not a dent cos I was once in your shoe but I learnt how to using online resources (just Google SOP for the course you wana pursue or YouTube)...please be mindful of plagiarism (Do not copy paste online resources and use it in yours) only use it as your guide...send it to people who know how to read good SOP for proofreading and boom you are good to go. I can also share the ones i have written which i have stopped using cos i ran it through a plagiarism software and i found out that someone I sent my SOP to as a guide to write his but used it word for word which is quite bad....I had to write another one completely. You can see how serious it could be. I can help in proofreading if you want.

I hope this helps.

Could you also help me by replying to my question too

It is very straightforward. Make a clear photocopy of all your educational documents and non educational documents e.g. letter of support from maybe sponsor or anyone, go to high court in Lagos(Yaba or Ikeja, Island) or Abuja and get them notarized. It doesn't take time and not expensive too.

I hope this helps.

Please, i was asked to notarize my documents. I'll like to know, which documents exactly will require notarization, from your experience?

Thanks

Photocopy all the educational documents you have and notarize them in high court or any public notary office. It does not cost much.

I hope this helps.

Please I want to apply for my VISA, I checked on VSFglobal online and saw a notice stating that residents of certain states can submit their applications in Lagos only. I was just wondering if this matters at all. Can I not go to abuja instead regardless?

It matters and please adhere to it. The localization is based on the origin of your passport.

I hope this helps.

make I leave Gumi and the lab(and my coursework) for Busan? please explain better.

It pays to be patient and be a future oriented person because when you do right in Korea with the opportunity you have so to speak, things will eventually fall into place for you. Please do the right thing and dont be in a hurray.

God bless your stay and remember to help the people you can. We rise by lifting others.

And I wana use this great opportunity today to say a big thank you to Will10 (especially), Pmax, Accadola, Bona and the rest. These guys are great guys and I pray for God's best in life for them and all guys here on nairaland doing great stuffs.

Hello all,
I've been offered a PhD position in Switzerland. I live in France but my French visa has recently expired. I don't want to apply for the Swiss visa from Nigeria due to the costs associated with travelling back and forth. Does anyone know if I would be asked for my French residence permit by the Swiss Embassy in France? Thank you in advance.

Hi, congratulations to you on your offer. Can you please share how you went about the application cos I am currently looking at pursuing my PhD in Switzerland too and your insight would be appreciated. I live in Estonia and I just felt like changing environment. I don't know if I can write you via email but I think sharing it here would help others. Thank you in advance.

It was the wrong words to be used but generally it means the passport has been voided and cannot be used....it is not an issue at all but just make sure you always have it with you anywhere the second one goes..better still glue both together with the new one in the front while the old one at the back..

I hope it helps.
Pope2017:

In my case, I renewed mine but immigration officer in Nigeria requested for the old one and they stamped all the empty spaces with " CANCELLED WITHOUT PREJUDICE* please, is there any implications of this stamp while applying for visa? This is so disturbing. Thanks for your response

You can always withdraw your application if the tide seems high...

For all I know, Egypt embassy has not been helpful for once especially when it comes intermediate embassy as a result of school admission.
I know a friend whose passport was held for 2 months without any further process. Why didn't they try Turkey or India? India as well isn't reliable these days.
Travel / Re: Lets Talk About Estonia by YoungMil: 6:38am On Mar 17, 2019
You should try Egypt first......Just a normal visiting application. You might get it and if it didn't work out have plan B, C and D.

A relative of mine wants to apply for Bsc at Tallinn University but have just C6 in English ( WAEC).

Please how sure are you, because it's urgent?

Thanks
Travel / Re: Lets Talk About Estonia by YoungMil: 6:27am On Mar 17, 2019
This isn't an issue....if your passport expiration period is 6 months and above, extension can only be done in Abuja but if it is less than 6 months say about 5 months, then you can do it anywhere. The new passport will have your old passport number. I did the same last year and I have not had any issue with that. Just make sure you glue your old one with the new one anywhere you wana go.

I hope this helps.
Suplexx:

I don't have this experience.

But you can email school to tell you what to do. May be you sell affidavit. But try to apply as soon as possible. Time is not on your side.

High Court in Ikeja, Lagos......From anywhere you are in Lagos just find your way down to Ikeja. Ask anyone to direct you to where High Court is located. Please do have it in mind that they operate from Mon through Friday.

Cost varies from N500 to infinity cos it depends on your negotiation power.

I hope it helps.

Thank you for taking time to respond to questions on this thread , please where can I notarize certificates in Lagos?
Travel / Re: Lets Talk About Estonia by YoungMil: 11:25pm On Jun 27, 2018
You won't. Moreover your passport is no longer a virgin passport and the rule is a visa with more than 6 months validity eg Bachelor or Master study visa, one way ticket is acceptable.

Travel / Re: Lets Talk About Estonia by YoungMil: 11:21pm On Jun 27, 2018
One way ticket is acceptable for long stay visa...
bsaying:

She used the Russia route... And we are all in Russia now.. Going to pick up mine today.... Are u sure about the one way ticket? Because we intend going into esti from here and we are contemplating on buying one way also...
Travel / Re: Lets Talk About Estonia by YoungMil: 4:03am On Jun 27, 2018
Since the visa is a long stay visa one way ticket would do...but if you are sure of visiting Nigeria within 1 year after entry you can get Return Ticket but fro must be opened once you fly in which gives you the capability of using it within 1 year of purchase. However, one way or Return would do.

I hope this helps.

Got my Estonia visa yesterday and i will be traveling from Nigeria. ..what kind of flight ticket should i buy? One way or round ticket?
Travel / Re: Thread for South Korea prospective students by YoungMil: 7:43am On Jun 19, 2018
Notarization and/or Legalisation won't really cost you much and would make you documents packaging look great and formal. I will advise you to notarise as that is quite easier to do that Authentication/Legalisation...my take though if you ask me.
