grinface98:Before proceeding further, have you root your phone, flash the cmw recovery and have backup ready? If no, you better do so before proceeding to change your font incase of any soft brick. To change font 1. Download ifont from playstore and install. 2. Open, browse through and Tap on the font you want to install. 3. Tap the Download button. 4. Tap the Set button. 5. If you get a prompt about setting the mode to System Mode, just tap the OK button. 6. Your device will reboot to apply the new font |

grinface98:Is your phone rooted? If no, download kingroot (search google for link). Install it and make sure you have a strong internet connection. Open the kingroot app and click on the big green round circle once and wait for some minutes for it to finish rooting your phone (it will show a mark in the green circle indicating successful rooting). Now to put cmw recovery, 1. Download this recovery image file from this link http://www.datafilehost.com/d/d4fbd3bc and make sure it is downloaded on the root of your memory card and not inside any folder. 2. Download "mobileuncle tools" from playstore or search google for link. 3. Install the app, give it root authorize permission, and in the app click on recovery update and select the recovery image file you downloaded and click on install. 4. Reboot your phone and you are done with putting cmw recovery on your phone. The next thing to do is to off your phone, and follow the earlier instructions i gave you starting with step 2.... Goodluck |
grinface98:Download this cmw stock rom here. https://docs.google.com/uc?id=0B3XCOvxbXgcmTS14am5DVTJKMkE&export=download To flash it, 1. Make sure you have cmw recovery. 2. Switch off the phone. wait for 10secs then press the Vol + button and the Power button at the same time. 3. After thw step, you should be in the recovery menu. Locate wipe cache and wipe it. Locate factory reset and wipe it also and lastly under advanced, locate wipe dalvik cache and also wipe it. 4. Now make sure the stock rom you downloaded is unzipped already and placed in the root folder of your mmc. 5.Finally, go to backup and restore, locate restore, and search for the unzipped stock rom folder and begin flashing. 6.After flashing, just reboot the phone. If successful, the phone should be normal. |

Yellowson:Download the latest version from here http://sourceforge.net/projects/spflashtool/files/ |
Yellowson:I got the backup from yomiprof website. I unzip it with winrar on my pc, then i created a folder on my sdcard (clockworkmod/backup) then i put the unzipped file in the created folder. I went ahead to restore it on the bricked phone, and voila, the phone came back to life. |
Bennyzino:Bros, this aint my first time of rooting n unrooting. I unrooted it before upgrading the software update just that it refused to come up. Anyway, i was able to unbrick successfully it by simply restoring another backup i got elsewhere. Thanks for ur input. |

emrain:My device is unbricked now. Thanks |
My infinix hot note phone is bricked and cant get pass boot logo. Have tried wiping the cache, data, factory reset and even formatting the phone still yet, it's not working. The phone is not rooted and have been able to flash cme recovery to it. I attempted installing a stock rom I downloaded but got installation aborted. What next can I do? |
please @yellowson,emrain and co, my infinix hot note got bricked while trying to update the software. The fone was formerly rooted, but i unrooted it before starting the upgrade process. Right now my fone cannot boot pass the infinix logo. I was able to flash cmw recovery in it with sp flash tool even though it was not rooted. I download two different stock roms for it and wanted to install the rom, but got installation aborted. Right now, i have unzip one of the roms and wanted to use the restore option to see if it will work. Any advice whether to go ahead, since i dont know if the stock rom is a rooted stock rom or not. Your reply is needed, thnx. |
