Your prepaid meter is equipped with overdraft functionality that will continue to supply light when there is no unit on the meter. The negative units is the amount you are owing. To clear the negative, u need to recharge an amount that is more that your negative amount and you need to factor the amount that they will deduct to settle part of your initial outstanding debt. May be you can recharge about 15k first. Anything less than this, the meter will not accept your token. Note, any rejected token is still valid for usage once you have cleared the negative amount. |

when a country source for loan outside her shore, what she will get is credit facilities worth of the loan she sourced for not cash. These credit facilities could be in term of raw materials, service, machineries and so on. With this, excess money in circulation will be put in control. Also, no country in the world except US will like to move dollars in her shore to other nations in the name of loan. |
Fayemi cannot eat his cake and have it. He cannot be pursuing two things at a time. He is a government appointee. In the days of pdp, for any government appointee who is vying for any elective post, he/she must have resigned before contesting in primary election. The likes of Wike, Obanikoro, Labara Maku, Darish Isiaku and Ortom - all of them resigned as ministers before they could contest in their respective States governorship primaries. http://www.nigerianeye.com/2014/10/breaking-news-labaran-maku-nyesom-wike.html?m=0 http://saharareporters.com/2014/12/10/5-jonathan-ministers-lose-out-governorship-primaries The law says that a public officer must resign on or 30 days before election. Primary election is part of election process. |
The Issue of VAT compilation is very complicated to comprehend in Nigeria. Lagos paid highest VAT does not mean Lagos people consumed/provide most of the goods and services. But the VAT returns get compiled and paid in Lagos because most of companies headquarters are based in Lagos. Everybody in the country contribute to VAT revenue generation from south to north, Lagos to Maiduguri, Banks, farmers, transports people, those that play lotteries(bets), bureau de change people, market men and women, and infact everybody that Consumes/provides goods and services. |

I took my time to go through the list and I could find out that some appointees names were missing on the list. There are a lot of appointments that the public are not aware of it and they are missing on the list released by FG. President Buhari has made over 500 appointments and they just released just 159 names. From my own research, these names were not on the list: 1. Lauretta onochie(PA social media) 2. Tolu Ogunlesi (PA digital/new media) 3. Basir Ahmad (PA new media) 4. Shabaan Ibrahim sharada(PA broadcasting media) 5. Bayo Omoboriowo (Personal photographer ) 6. Chief Okoi obono Obla(SA on prosecution) 6. Dr. Samuel Ode Ankeli (SSA on disability) 7. Tijani Abdullah (SA on planning) 8. Nasir Adhama (SA youth and students affair) More of it will come in due course. Is it a deliberate attempt for the omissions just to see that President Buhari is fair in his appointments? Nairalanders over to you. |
I have read so much about the history of Nigeria and I am yet to see where and when was the city of calabar the capital of Nigeria. What my research revealed to me is that calabar was the capital of Oil Rivers protectorate (1884-1893) which later became Niger Coast Protectorate (1893-1900). In 1900, the Niger coast protectorate merged with the Royal Niger company below Lokoja on the Niger River to form Southern Nigeria protectorate (1900-1906) with its capital still in Calabar. In 1906, the Southern Nigeria Protectorate merged with Lagos Colony to form COLONY AND PROTECTORATE OF SOUTHERN NIGERIA(1906-1914) with its capital in Lagos. In 1914, this protectorate was amalgamated with Northern Nigeria protectorate (1900-1914) to form the present day NIGERIA. So, when was Calabar the capital of Nigeria? Over to you the historians in the house. |
Brown14:The criminals always rely on incompetency of law enforcement agencies to present their case. They focus more on the technicality of the law to strike because their prosecutors are incompetent. Look at all corrupt cases they had and one by one they lost it. Is it our judiciary that is corrupt or incompetent on the government side. |
Lawmakers recall process in Nigeria is practically impossible. I don't see how more than 50 PERCENT of the REGISTERED VOTERS will vote YES in a Referendum, when in practical terms it is very difficult to see 50 percent voters turn out in an election. It is an effort in futility. |
CDC is superior to COAS.
By rank, CDC is a Four star General

It is only needed in apc controlled states. It will not be used in pdp states like Rivers because u cannot expect pdp senators to support any apc nominees. It happenned during 7th assembly - the case of obanikoro and lagos senators. |

Why isPDP holding on to all the minority positions in the house of representatives. they are not the only minority party there. we also have LP, ACCORD, APGA. During the merger of APC, they(PDP) complained that APC is not the only minority party and as such other minority parties should have say in the minority positions. In conclusion, is like we are moving toward two party system? Time will tell if the latter is good for our democracy. |
Our journalists are very lazy. They gave wrong profile for Muhammed Wali. The profile given was that of Senator(ambassador) Abdullahi Wali that constested Sokoto gubernatorial election against RT HON AMINUL TAMBUWAL. To prove that the profile given for Mohammed Wali is not his. According to the given profile, he is a politician and there is no way (according to our constitution) a politician can be INEC NATIONAL COMMISSIONER. |
