Restrictions exist because:

CP is unsecured and more sensitive to issuer failure
Pension funds prioritize capital preservation over yield
Regulations limit exposure to instruments with higher default probability
To avoid systemic risk to retirees’ funds

Essentially, regulators want pension funds to stay in safer, highly-rated, and more liquid instruments.

Commercial Paper (CP) has actually failed in Nigeria before, although it is not very common because issuance is restricted to relatively strong companies.

From my experience over the years, nothing is removed from your money. For example, if you have #105,000 and made a withdrawal of #100k, your balance will still remain #5k.

Which means Stanbic MMF @19.40 or so is better

Customer service is top notch and rates are comparable. Currently thier MMF is 20.9%

I invested #10,000 each in all the remaining 7 other investments on the app, just to test it out except MMF . I have lost approximately #1000 on about 4 of them. My account in reading #9 thousands something on the different investments. Na only like 2 that has gone beyond the #10,000 I invested. The others na just losses upon losses. But I go leave am like that for now instead of pulling out the funds

I paid #10k this morning but what shows on the display is #9,856. It became a surprise to me.
