Three doctors have been arrested in Congo over the murder of a World Health Organisation (WHO) epidemiologist. The arrested doctors had been working to try to stem the epidemic in North Kivu province when a Cameroonian doctor, Richard Kiboung was shot dead in April at a hospital in Butembo city.

A military prosecutor, Jean-Baptiste Kumbu made this known as the country continues to battle a deadly Ebola outbreak.

The men will appear before a military court, he said, adding that they are charged for terrorism and conspiring to kill Mouzoko for motives of hate and jealousy. Mouzoko was an epidemiologist deployed by WHO as part of its response to the Ebola outbreak.

WHO said the killing took place during a coordination meeting at Butembo University Hospital. A fourth suspected doctor is still at large, he said, and dozens of militia members will also be charged in connection with the crime.

Numerous militia groups operate in eastern Congo, most fighting over the country’s rich natural resources. Authorities and aid groups have also had to deal with a local population suspicious of health workers and there have been numerous attacks on clinics, hampering the response to the outbreak.

More than 1,800 people have so far died of the virus. The World Health Organization declared the outbreak an international health emergency in July.3

A Twitter user has exposed the method a woman allegedly used to get people to cook her meals for free for two years.

According to @ThatPHCBoy, the woman sends out job adverts, informing the public she wants to hire a chef. When people apply, she invites them individually for a practical interview to cook in her home. After they cook, she promises to get back to them but never does.

When she has gotten all the applicants to cook for her on different days, she repeats the process again.

She has allegedly been doing this for two years and her victims have been ignorant of the fact that they've been duped because they just thought they didn't get the job.

Laila Johnson-Salami, the news personality who rose to prominence for drilling presidential aspirants during the last presidential campaign, has revealed that she was asked to dye her naturally blonde hair before being allowed to renew her passport.

According to her, she was informed that only black hair is allowed for capturing and she was expected to dye her natural hair to fit the accepted colour.

She later went on to say that she was eventually allowed to be captured with her natural hair.



Instagram users have expressed shock at the discrimination she had to suffer during her passport renewal just because of her hair color.

A 9-year-old boy, Gift, in Abia state has been rescued after his stepmother and father left him in chains for weeks.

Activist, Harrison Gwamnishu who shared a video of the boy in chains, says the victim lost his mother at birth and has been living with his father and stepmother who subjects him to inhumane treatment.

According to reports, the father and the stepmother chained the little boy on Sunday July 4th and went out for a function. It was the neighbors that raised alarm, called a welder and rescued the boy.

Harrison says the boy has been handed over to the state Ministry of Women Affairs.

This case comes few days after the video of a woman flogging a young boy and throwing him into a dog cage surfaced online.

The creepy video showed angles of the spider with Human-like face drawn on it’s back, and looking closely to it you’ll notice that the actual face is on the front and the human-like face is at the back of the spider.

A Bloody Fight broke at the Altamira Regional Recovery Center Prison in Brazil yesterday and a lot of inmates died in the process.

According to intel, Gang members from a block in the prison stormed a rival gang block and locked all exit of the block, and thereafter set the block on fire Thereby causing many inmates to die of asphyxiation.

57 Prisoners died in the riot and 16 were confirmed to be beheaded.

About 6 Prisoners were filmed during the 5-hour riot playing football with some bloody decapitated head of rival inmates.

Military police were called upon and after and after they negotiated with the inmates who barricaded themselves, the riot was calmed and then the footage was released.

Just earlier today, four armed men stormed Univerisity of Akwa Ibom, Uyo’s Female hostel inflicting injuries on female students and also taking off with their phones and valuable belongings.

The incident was said to have happened in the early hours of today and has sparked outrage and call for help as students are now trending the hashtag “#UniuyoIsNotSafe” along with the story on Twitter.



One of the victims of the incident named Peace who was stabbed in the process was rushed to the hospital and she lost a lot of blood.

The video has surfaced online as the roommate to the girl who was stabbed (Peace) can be seen sobbing and explaining what happened. And According to her, the armed men asked thus; “We’re looking for Peace Iyanu. Where’s Peace Iyamu? Is she in this room?”
